Re: UML tools?

I evaluated UML CASE tools in second half of a year 2004.

Thus maybe some informations are obsolete, maybe not :-).

My internal reccomendations are :
- if you want to minimize costs : http://jude.esm.jp
- if you want serious tool, for team work : http://www.magicdraw.com/

Rational is big CASE tool + metodology; i mean : functions of this
separate tool is as functions of magicdraw, but it is more expensive

i evaluated enterprise architect (sparxsystems) too : it is good
tool, but i was disillusioned with hideous function fo undo (i very
mind it, maybe somebody other not :-)

Borland together was good tool, but it had smaller support for team
work.

Visio i dont recommend - nice is big range of diagrams (no only UML),
but for UML is better even http://jude.esm.jp

are you satisfied ?

bye

Martin
