According to your requirement, you will be have following modules in your project

1. All Reservation with all types like Birthday, personal party, marriage etc.
2. Food material management
3. Accounting management
4. Reports

I think, you can create use cases based on these four modules:-

1) Reservation: -

• Marriage type Reservation Use case
• Personal Party Use case
• Birhday party Use case
• General type use case(commom for any other type)

All of the above use case should contain all rules like capacity range, hall info, decoration info etc.

2) Food Material:-

            This will be also specific based on the requirements. You can create use case either single or multiple if any specific kind of food material is used to manage.

I think you can consider the basic type like Veg, Non-veg, regional type food material management. The food management system should alert the user if any food quantity goes below the minimum quantity.

I thin, you must have a purchase order system too to purchase food items, party items etc.

3) Account Management:-

            Purely based on the requirements. Either separate account type or a common type, but I think you can propose account management for and create use case for following:-

• Parties
• Food
• Employees
• Purchase

4) Report : completely based on the all above modules and features. So once you clear with their requirements then add more reports:-

According to your requirement as of now, the following use case may help

·         monthly/annual profit and loss

·         expenses

·         food stock

·         employee workout of the marriage hall

All the report should be in the formats like in Numbers, Bars and Graphical notations (% wise).

Sequence diagram is completely a low level design on which you have to define a flow of major functionality across business layers, method types & parameters, return type etc. This you can plan once you have project architecture technical diagram complete and you clear about the flow of each & every functionality like, in your case, Add, update and delete a reservation sequence diagrams.

The aim of making FiveStar Marriage Hall Management System is to provide such generic software which could facilitate any kind of marriage hall with the best reservation and accounting system. It will be serving as the backbone of the marriage hall management system. With this software, the management team gets reliable and efficient computerized database reservation and accounting system. The management team will be able to reserve customer’s marriages at any specific time along with their customized requirements.  The system helps the management team to get the maximum output with minimal efforts. The process of reservations and food material calculations will no more be handled manually; a complete computerized system will be maintained. This software will not only make marriage reservations but it will also make other personal reservations like birthday reservations, personal party reservations etc. Indeed this software will allow management team to make a reservation of customer’s own choice. The software will allow the management team to generate reports on any specified reservation along with its billings and expenses, food quantity used etc. They can also get reports on monthly/annual profit and loss, expenses, food stock, and employee workout of the marriage hall.

 

 

Problem definition

FiveStar  Marriage Halls achieved a reasonable ranking in the nation wide market, they have opened many branches where they provide their highly admirable services. The only problem they are facing is management of the Halls.

They want to manage the hall reservations and accounting system efficiently. The current system is manual, they use booking keeping system for reservations and accounting – they now want to make it more efficient and more reliable.

Specific objectives

We must achieve these objects while designing and implementation of the software:

·         Provides timely information.

·         Enhanced administration and control.

·         Improved response, cost control and profitability.

·         Maintaining history.
