April 15, 2004 - Microsoft is at the RC1 stage in the release of Windows XP
Service Pack 2 (SP2). In SP2 Microsoft is introducing a set of security
technologies. These technologies may have impacts on your applications.
This page contains resources to assist developers in dealing with these
impacts.

So far PCAUSA hasn't seen any specific problems related to SP2 and PCAUSA
products. However, we strongly recommend that you download the XP SP2
Technical Preview (from the link above) and test with your products.
PCAUSA will be releasing a minor update to Rawether for Windows tomorrow
(Build 1658) that is not specifically related to XP SP2. The Build 1658
release accommodates a kernel-mode string parsing flaw introduced in the
prior release (Build 1657). The flaw causes the symbolic link generated by
the driver to differ from that expected by the W32N50 DLL in some rare
cases. As a consequence a Rawether-based application could not open the
adapter.
