Does your MacBook read Thayne? If so, then maybe even the built-in
TimeMachine (I forgot the exact name, I am still with OS X 10.4.11)) could
work. If not, then I am pretty sure that Retrospect would. The latter was
made for a Mac/Windows mixed environment. I have been using Retrospect for
20+ years with great results. Use the duplicating mode and not the backup mode.
