The calendar funtion is great.

However,the font of the calendar view is not that comfortable to me.Is
that possible for me to set the calendar font to other fonts,such as
"lucida grande"?How?

The export of SiteBrain HTML is part of the Pro Edition. If it is
disabled, this means that your trial period has expired. You can email

My first exposure to TheBrain and it's later iterations was back in
2000, when I used IntranetBrain to help develop my former employer's
Intranet site for the Network Operations department. I've been a
follower of the software for some time now, and I'm glad to see the
current development efforts.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something in the way of the feature-set
of the PB4 Betas: I'd really like to know if the "Export > SiteBrain
HTML with XML Data" option is intentionally disabled, or did I miss
something in the PB4 Beta configs?

i am very touched by the change of thebrain tech.corp.
it always seemed: that 'ordinary people' dont matter and all the
brain did, was focusing at large companies in order to accordingly
get big clients.

so, the company took quite some (finally extra-cool) course - for
the very benefit of 'the people' ..and i think: this is realy
wonderful!

till ver.4 - i could not possibly have imagined harlan adressing
himself to the world. obviously the wrong people left the company
and the right ones could finally start their dance ..as we can see
in most beautiful ways! i wish - that from the very beginning, this
would have been the spirit. i 'd probably be a brain-dealer, teacher

I have the following queries / suggestions:

1. the html export facility creates a version of the brain which could be
read online, ALTHO not modified online. Could that be added with some kind
of auto syncing between an html version of the brain and the brain file
itself?

2.    is it possible to export just a portion of a Brain to make another
brain? There's a portion of my brain that I want to share with someone else,
and the html thing provides a means of doing that. But I only want one
portion.

3.   Is there any way to link brains together, like different excel
spreadsheet files can be linked?

.....ok sorry to bother you about that again. It is just that we have
suggested so many things and at the end we do not receive any
feedback. Nothing appears to included in PB, and to be honest this is
a bit frustrating.

You see features....like....count words.....checking speller......that
nobody asking for that, and do not help us too much!!

E.g. mainly the Notes tool....what matters to have a great Plex
interface that when you are going to put some information you face a
bad designed interface of the Notes Tool. Try to change the fonts, or
deal to a customize color, past only text, manage fonts size......e.g.
continues to be a pain. You save many clicks while in Plex and spend
all and more while in Notes tool.

.....I have understood in order to work that you have first to create
the Bookmarks and the The Hyperlinks within the document. So that is
ok but even so you press the hyperlink PB does not get you in the
Bookmark!!! If you open this page in the Internet Browser it works fine.

The 'Paste Special'...'plain text' does not work properly. When you
try to do it it modifies the current format in the context.
Also please add the short-cut Crlt-shift-V for that in order to keep
the backwards compatibility with PB3!!!

Sometimes 'Enable check spelling As you Type' get inconsistent with

Could you please check if this behaviour is correct.
When using the 'Notes' with pin pressed(e.g. pinned) and then putting
the mouse cursor over e.g. 'Properties & Attachments' I decide to
maximaze it, then when I return to the normal size 'Properties &
Attachments' stayed pinned! So is that so? I Think the correct
behaviour should be unpinned.

I don't wanna see tabs properties/details/search all the time.

You can export the Selection as another brain, but cannot import it into
a pre-existing one.


That's why you should not discard your PB3. I create all my new brains
in PB3, especially those that are going to involve the spidering of any
sites, and import them into PB4 when done. PB3 will also check for
broken links, which PB4 will not.

When trying to open a webpage by clicking over thought icon of a
webpage attached while no browser is opened yet. Even though the
webpage is opened, I got always firstly the message "Unable to open
shortcut "http:.....".

About the Notes Tools bar buttons; as TheBrain.com is still improving
the Notes interface (Beta Version), maybe it shall consider also the
possibility of let the user customise it. For example I would like to
be able also to have the copy/paste on it as well.....etc

concerning loading XML with JS into HTML div's. Andrius, you once made
me a script that exactly did that. The XML was derived from
PersonalBrain3 with BrainUtil. This script is one of the files

Roberto,

As you can imagine, the PB4 HTML editor is not intended to replace
Dreamweaver or Frontpage... It's a notepad that happens to be HTML
based. That said, we can certainly look into fixing minor rendering
issues, but the view inside the editor will never be exactly the same
as that within the browser.

As for the additional buttons you have requested, we do have this on
the feature request list. We've had requests on both sides of this one
- many users would like the option to reduce the number of buttons in
notes so that there is more room for editing. We'll try to address
both these requests in a future release.
