Description

On July 31, 2007, Scott F. Hall posted a video at YouTube showing a continuously-running gizmo composed of a conglomeration of things found in his kitchen, including a can of dog food, tooth picks, refrigerator magnets, a pencil, spring clips, and a small corner cut out of a box. The astonishing thing about this is that in that configuration, the tripod of toothpicks spins continuously at around 100 rpm. This discussion group has been formed to facilitate in the replicating, characterization, improvement, and development of this concept into something practical. See http://peswiki.com/index.php/OS:Scott F. Hall's Magnet Motor from Kitchen Stuff.

Re: Scott Hall's devices might be hoaxes
I rank the "hoax" (deliberate spoof) probability very low. What he did is consistent with a right-brained artist that feeds on applause, not jeers. An artist

Scott Hall's devices might be hoaxes
Sterling: Two things about all this are suspicious. 1. He didn't think to try running the device in the opposite direction. 2. He destroyed his prototypes.
