Recently I've been working with local radio DJ doing a weekly 1 minute
astronomy segment (since cancelled, since it didn't fit the station's rock
music format). He's since been hired to produce a local science/astronomy
show for the Lafayette cable company, and the first segment will be airing
this Friday at 5:30pm and again Sunday at 7pm, Channel 13, and it will
repeat weekly on Sundays, and maybe also on Fridays, with a new episode
every month.
The show is called "Chromosphere", and the first month's show will include
some footage we filmed at the West Laf. Obs., and also a segment with Bill
Houston (Jefferson High School astronomy teacher) talking about some
constellations. We also fimed a segment at PGO, and that will be in next
month's show.
