IMHO, a website-based forum is not as good as an e-mail one. I'm just
not going to remember to visit that forum. Also, with all the e-mail
lists to which I'm subscribed, it's easier and takes less time for my
forums to come to me (via e-mail) than for me to go to them (via website).

Well, the thing is, with most website-based forums, you can program your settings to e-mail you whenever a new message comes in, or whenever someone responds...

I like the idea of a web forum, but I don't see any controls however, for altering posts, reading archives, creating a secure login name, or forwarding posts...
