Hello All.

Its Scott Ebersold, alum of '95. I am hoping (with much humility and endless
gratitude) that you can help me out. I just found out that one of the actors I
had cast in the play I am directing for the NY Fringe Festival needs to pull out
of the role. Any suggestions any of you may have would be GREATLY appreciated.

The play is called expat/inferno and is written by New Dramatist Member
Playwright, Alejandro Morales (also an alumn of Playwrights). It started as a
commission at INTAR and was later developed through readings at New Dramatists
and The Public Theater.

about the play

expat/inferno begins in post 9/11 New York City. A fateful encounter with a
heartbroken French chanteuse at the Cock and a mysterious phone call send Danny
on a trip to Paris to look for his missing lover, X. Only Paris is not as he
remembers it. Cryptic postcards, sexual encounters and Dante's Inferno collide
in his search to discover the truth about his past, present, and future.

about the production

expat/infero will be presented as part of this year's New York Fringe Festival.
The performance dates and venue are currently TBA, but this year's Fringe runs
from Friday, August 8 through Sunday, August 24. Rehearsals will begin around
July 9.

casting breakdown

Danny--mid 20s to early 30s. Lead. The character is American of Cuban decent,
but would be willing to cast American actors of other Mediterrean hertiges. He
is very attractive/sexy, but increasingly vulnerable as the play progresses. He
should have a facility with poetic language.

Thank you,

Scott Ebersold
