I recall film would have its own issues... remember the end of the slide rolls? You would get those orange flares... I think thats because it was at te end of the roll and got exposed to light during handling.
On the other hand xray exposure did funny stuff like this too. I had one roll I sent back for development when I was in the Navy (at sea). WHen it came back I had all sorts of flares on my slides. All I can figure it was exposed to xrays somewhere in the mail.
If you still have the negative strips, go back and look thru them, maybe this was the end of the roll.

Nope, it was one of those photos that just happened when film was developed. Camera was on tripod. No camera shake as you can see there is no "shake" to it. It is really just a wild photo...No, I would say no glare... I never really point and shoot at anything that would cause reflection and so on.Cant tell if it was moving since I never saw the "image in question"...

Hey all, Just was looking at some old photos and the one that gets me is this one-
This photo is in the ufo gallery on this site.. I just can't wrap my head around what this is... it looks like a bended craft with an orage beam coming down or up from it? The photo was taken by the cemetery on Route 52 and was taken with 1600asa Fuji film ...as some of us know it as "old school film". NOT digital...ahh things were so different back then!
Take a look and would love to hear some thoughts! Any Ideas? Vinny

I know most of you probably saw the movie. I found the link for "THE FOURTH KIND" and if you want to watch it on your computer or have it hooked to your TV(better off), just click the link and find a site.
Good luck, I know I sent this link out last time for "Paranormal Activity" so some of you might have it, if so sorry for the duplicate but it is well worth watching your favorite and newest movies at home...
P.S. I haven't seen the movie yet but the quality looks pretty good ....
CB, I can certainly give an explanation of my knowledge of Ellen's project as well as my own.
I began traveling to Pine Bush years ago with friends who were interested in having a sighting and talking with others sharing the fascination with otherworldly things. I met Ellen during one of my visits and we traded some info at that time. It was later that I learned about Ellen's potential deal during a meeting with a production company in Santa Monica. You see, the film and television biz is a small community and news travels fast.
As for the project that I was pitching, the concept hinged heavily on my own experiences of alien encounters. My partner on this pitch was Whitley Strieber and we had planned to draw on the database he had compiled via the Communion foundation. As strange as it may seem, during several of my encounters, I was given specific information and motivation to bring this information forward and I've done my best to make this happen. My encounters began as a child and continue to this day, so this was of interest to DreamWorks. Whitley couldn't make our pitch meeting with the studio, so I handled the session alone. When I finished, I had a second meeting lined up and they liked what I presented, however Whitley began trying to leverage interest at other studios against DreamWorks...big mistake.
I got a call from the head of development thanking me and offering to submit other projects in the future, but they had to cut ties with Whitley because he was a bit out of control.
CB, I hope to find a home for this project one day in the future, so I keep my fingers crossed. Also, I've learned that a writer can't just support themselves on a diet of alien material, so I keep writing screenplays for feature films (nothing alien) to broaden my resume. I've had several scripts optioned and one showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival. I do have a television pilot written called Shades of Grey (totally alien) which blends real stories of contact with a bit of fiction. My goal is to tell the stories of many experiencers from one platform.
BTW, you're correct about indie film production being the best hope for cutting-edge material. Hollywood sometimes provides too many cooks to spoil the broth, where indie material can maintain the true essence of a concept. The downside for indie production is finding financing and a distribution system.
Hope this explains a few things, but if not, let me know.
Cheers,
Jim O

Jim,
Thanks for the details on Ellen Crystall's deal; just out of curiosity, how did you learn of this? Also, if you don't mind, and barring any protection of an original idea, could you elaborate more on the project you pitched? I'm sure the list would be interested in hearing your concept.
Too bad about Spielberg. I remember hearing about Tracy Torme and Jacques Vallee trying to do a treatment of one of Vallee's novels like Fastwalker. That's probably the closest we'll ever get to a UFO movie on the level of CE3K. But that's asking alot; speak to some film critics, CE3K is not only the best UFO movie, its one of the best motion pictures ever. And I agree. Little did I know at the time just how dead-on it was representing the UFO experience (thanks, Dr. Hynek!).
Hollywood seems to certainly know how to butcher any metaphysical topic in fictional form these days; is it any wonder the best ghost movie since Poltergeist was an indie
film?
Although I like the movie, can you imagine a mind like Spielberg treating Strieber's original Communion? Could have been devastating.

Option deals provide a one time payment in exchange for taking the material off the market. Many option deals are made for little or no money...some are considered "free options" just to explore opportunities.
I've been offered many of these option deals and many never produce a thing, unless the deal is with "A list" producers.

Don't let them take me!!
Immediately after that I ran towards her who didn't have a chance to say
more and calm me down, at that moment I just woke up remembering nothing, but i

That's too bad. I have to give any filmmaker props for making a horror film
without the excessive gore. I keep hoping Spielberg will do another UFO film;
the reason CE3K is so good is because Spielberg is a true student of both
ufology and parapsychology. In fact, he wrote the novel for CE3K, and people
might be surprised to find out that it is centers on the psychic aspect of the
UFO experience, a distinctly unpopular concept still to this day.
One fact you might be surprised to know: the Pine Bush story came somewhat close
to being made into a film. Ellen Crystall sold the rights to a screen treatment
of Silent Invasion to a small filmmaker many years ago. The deal was for one
calendar year; obviously the filmmaker took a bath on it.

List,
A quick reminder that the U.F.O.S. meeting for November is this Wednesday at 7:30 at the Walker Valley Schoolhouse off of Route 52.
What's to talk about? What's there NOT to talk about! I don't think there has ever been so much interest in all things paranormal/UFO, not only in American culture but worldwide. Reports are coming in to the national organizations at a huge pace, online discussion groups are going overtime, and even the show UFO Hunters, originally left for dead, is coming back with new episodes on the History Channel this month. And of course, you have the first major motion picture since Fire In The Sky to deal with the UFO/abduction phenomenon being released this Friday, and the movie studio is putting major dollars behind advertising, so clearly they expect this to be big. So the loaded question is: what does this all mean?!

Recently one came down in the SW Pacific... and blew up in the sky with the energy of a nuclear blast. Of course it was a bit bigger. But had it hit the ground..........
Awesome video of the crash scene. Lots of UFO gossip but not likely. Most likely a meteorite... Hopefully more info to come... Notice the edge of the crater! really steep.
0.0, it's very scary. this does not have anything to do with UFO.
why is the thing doing this? is it a ghost or a demon?
i wonder who call the cops?
still thanks for sharing this.

Mac Tonnies, a UFO researcher who's name might be familiar to those who read UFO
Magazine or surf some of the more Fortean UFO websites, has sadly passed away at
age 34. Part of the group that has kept the spirit of Ivan Sanderson and John
Keel alive, while upping the quality of the research, Tonnies obviously
approached UFOs as the ultimate adventure, and made a lot of friends worldwide
in the community. I imagine Greg Bishop will work to archive his writings and
website, and will work to publish a manuscript nearly done which might be of
interest as an alt point of view to hotspot researchers. Condolences to his
friends and family.

It is the whole movie, but like I said last night there is a totally different ending to this movie compared to what I saw in the Theater... But YES it is the whole movie... if you have a slower computer it might take some time to download or watch... but it was a good flick....:-)

After re-watching this, the ending is totally different then what was in the
acutal Theather release so I am guessing there are 2 different cuts but the rest
of the movie was the same except for the end.. Still worth a watch!
