Robot Club Meeting - this weekend -
Saturday, Feb. 2nd, 12noon-5pm
We caught up a lot this past month, but we still have more ahead of us.
I'll have the next sensor ready, edge detector, for us to wire up at this meeting.
This one is real simple so it'll be a nice relief from all the big work we did so far.
We'll have to calibrate the PWM speed control for eveyone's robot too.
I like to take some time to talk about the next steps for this year
I hope we can get all of us to help donate some material to get all this ready.
Some of the items we'll need to look for are :
- Masonite boards - I think we have enough already to make a 8'x 8' game board
- Grass mat - the type used on train sets, to cover each board section
- 1x2" furring strips - to brace the masonite boards
- 1/4 " dowels - for alignment, to keep the boards from moving
- Dri-Foam - to create obstacles for the gameboard, this can be carved very easily.
- Card Tables ? - to raise it off the floor - same as with a train set.
- Poster board - various (basic) colors, to identify objects (via the color sensor)
- The next Project phase - what electronic parts we'll need to finish the robot
Directions are on the website
Charge your Batteries before the meeting !
How about us getting lunch for the meeting ?
