Hi everyone. This is Rikk Carey from Plaxo. We have not really kicked this group off yet, but it's fine to keep using it.
We've been debating internally whether to open this group up (i.e. promote it to our users) or use a web-based message board on our website. We're leaning toward the web-based message board since it offers a tighter integration with our Help Center, etc.
I'd love to hear what you folks think about this.
Also, the first/last name switch is a known bug that effects the "Display Name", not the actual name -- and yes, it's very annoying. I will see if there's a fix coming for this.
Also, note that we offer a web-based version of Plaxo that does not require a download -- however, this does not integrate nearly as nicely as the download version. If you've downloaded Plaxo, you also get the web-based version automatically.
Rikk

Subject: Re: [plaxo] Is this group active?EdI considered the unfortunate download an obsticale to overcome.Sometimes the only thing to do is to do it yourself. To this end, I entered 150 contacts myself one sat. no bulk imports..they still suck.Once that is overcome - it is easy! My advice, block out some time and type away!pamela

I file in Outlook as "last first", but when Plaxo brought them up to the server, it took them as if they were "first last". Not that much of a big deal until some of my contacts pop up as Plaxo members & then get synced back into my Outlook in reverse order.Anyone have any thoughts?

Have never had to use support - it is mostly intuitive.Wondering if I should sign for return path - $50 a year, but might be worth it, I think I lose a lot of contacts when I finish contracts and am trying to remedy that situation.Do you know of a free email forwarding place?pamela

Plaxo. They claim over 1 million subscribers. If that's the case,
they seem to be pretty silent users.
I understand Plaxo's business model - they want to make you pay
$20/year for support. And if nothing else, that seems to be good
reason for users to help each other out for free.
Is there anyone out there?
