I am new to SMS technology and am looking to use playSMS to receive
text messages via short code and then compare the message against a
database.

Can I install playSMS on the hosting server where my site is located
(owned by a web hosting company, not myself), or do I need my own
apache server? Is there a manual anywhere for installing playsms?
