I took a quick look at the new API documentation you emailed earlier this week.
Looks really good, nicely documented.
I look forward to playing with it and to coming to PlazeCamp.
Question for you though, mobile client?
I know the mobile client was cancelled, but given the "My Location" feature in the new Google Maps app, maybe it's time to try it again?

The documentation of the new Plazes API is at

As it says on the top: This is still pre-release and therefore subject
to change! So please do not rely on anything in there being supported,
but feel free to experiment with it. Suggestions, bug reports and
feedback in general is very much appreciated! Especially if you have a
certain application in mind that you want to build and use Plazes for
it, is there anything in that API documentation that makes you think
"Oh if they had only done that one differently"? Please let us know.
The plan now is to collect feedback and implement it until PlazeCamp,
finalize everything on PlazeCamp, and 'officially' release the API a
week later.
