On the subject of obtaining cell mast info. This is definately possible, on Symbian (Nokia) it seems you need to have your code "signed" by Nokia to get at the info apparently. So, if you/we want to play with the idea of a mobile client for PlazeCamp, you/we/I would need to get onto that ASAP as it takes some weeks.
This isn't entirely true. You can also self-sign to get access to 'protected' stuff. However self-signing is only valid for one IMEI. A Nokia approved signing cert can sign an application for a number of IMEAs en-mass. From what I've heard from other developers though it takes months, not weeks.

This process only works on windows too. Although I've had no problems using Parallels on my Mac to do it.
