A lot of us podcasters use Wordpress, Blogger, or other blogging platform to
publish podcasts.
It makes it really easy for us to put out a new show and have it prominently
featured at the top of our web page.
Instantaneously "above the fold". Easy.
Here's my dilemma: I would like to blog on my site between shows. The
blogging would server multiple purposes.
It would get more information out to listeners about my topic and blogging
about a niche topic like poets and poetry exponentially increases my show's
visibility in search engines. (I have a poem on my site that someone wrote
called "Grandma Alice". I get at least a hit a week for people searching for
"grandma poems" or "poetry about grandma". Strange.)
The problem is that, because I use a blog, the podcast posts get pushed down
out of that critical top post. I want to blog on my site, but the podcast is
definitely the most important and I would keep it visible. For now I have my
blogs separated off to another page, but now they have no visibility unless
you click the "Blog" link.
What to you other podcaster/bloggers do?
Will
