Description

This group is provided for those people who have an interest in ecological gardening and permaculture.
We hope to be discussing and providing support for people who wish to grow plants in plant communities or "polycultures", as they do in all natural environments.
In other words gardening and farming with "intentional plant communities" or "mini ecosystems". Where groups of plants are grown together in the same space to form a cooperative and complementary living system, that will not only be highly productive but also beneficial to the health of the soil and the garden/farm.

Keywords: Intercropping, interplanting, multi-cropping, agroforestry, forest gardening, companion planting, "plant families", continuous cropping, green manures, mulch, slash/mulch

Inspirational People: Sepp Holzer, Masanobu Fukuoka, Marsha Hanzi, Ernst Gotsch, Chris Evans, H. David Thurston, Roland Bunch
