Seems fitting that since I let Power-Assist Group know about the existence
of BionX 5 years ago that I should let everyone know about this strange
news.

Last week I almost put my foot in my mouth to announce BionX was bought out
and I thought Nah better wait till I knew the rumor was correct and guess
what Ladies it happened.

Dec. 21 BionX changed ownership and is now owned by a very big Automobile
parts manufacturer based in Toronto called MAGNA International. The thinking
is now BionX will leave Quebec and move its production facilities to
Toronto.

I am on the fence here because while I love the idea of BionX now having
access to Mega Dollars to play with and this could easily move BionX to the
top of the e-bike food chain, there is an uneasy feeling that Automobile and
E-Bike in the same sentence does not sound right.

BionX also canned plans to bring out a 500W motor for 2008.

Probably more stuff will follow about the buyout as it unfolds.
