HP 5500N, display showed two lines of "asterisks". Was told
to replace Flash memory,(C9712-67922), when I did this,
display went blank, put "old" flash memory " in, still
nothing. Was told next to replace DC controller bd.,same results.
Any ideas? I have done an engine test and no results.
Control panel? Any tests to verify?

Was working on a HP CLJ 5500 ,when I got to the call, was just "flashing" 2 rows of asterisks in the display. Was told it needed "Compact Flash Firmware",...	jdsm48	Mar 27, 2008 4:56 pm
