Esteemed Colleagues,
 
I have a perplexing problem with a Hp5si. It seems to keep dropping
communication or something. It will print fine for the first few jobs after it
gets turned on and then it will get stuck in a processing job mode and do
nothing 'till it gets rebooted. I have tried a different jetdirect card and
another formatter with no luck. To make matters worse after the formatter swap,
it will now stay in the ready mode but just not print until a reboot is done,
but the jobs go through the queue like they make it to the printer so when you
reboot any jobs sent while it was stuck in limbo are lost. I have never seen
such an issue and it's becoming quite confusing, has anyone else ran into this?
I did notice a 50.03 error a couple thousand pages ago on the error log so I was
thinking of swapping out the fuser and removing the duplexer just to see if that
helps, although I did try removing the duplexer before the JD card swap and that
didn't seem to make any
difference. Basically I am just pulling at straws at this point........The last
2 errors in the log were 55.03F1 and 55.032A, the 55 errors seems to point to a
communications problem. I could also try the DC Controller? Any help would be
appreciated, and I thank you in advance.......
