I am considering purchasing a Xerox Phaser 7400 instead of another
color laser printer. I have no experience with the Phasers and wonder
if it's a good buy or not. I only have lots of HPs and I am more than
happy with them but am looking for something a bit better. Does
anyone have experience with this printer? Is it better than a laser
printer? Can parts be gotten easily if needed? Any other information
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance.

A while back I bought this printer off of eBay. I just now got around
to purchasing a toner cartridge for it. After inserting the new
cartridge the Error light on the front panel stays on and the Low
Toner light flashes. Is there something else wrong with the printer
that's causing the light to flash.

Thanks,

The 13.05.00 error indicates a jam in the top cover area (the exit
area). This can also be triggered by paper not arriving at the fuser
or past that in time.

Check all the path AFTER the point the paper stopped at.

Is anyone here still interested in the oldies or do they have no value
anymore? We have been using & supporting them for years but most
customers want something faster nowadays. We have 1 to 4 of each
depending on model, I hate to send them to a land fill but I have very
little need for them anymore.

According to the Service Manual for that printer ...

--- (Quote) ---
A printer command error occurred, which indicates a problem between
the Formatter PCA and the print engine.
xx = error code:
01 =Unable to bring up the engine
02 =Excessive noise glitches on the Printer Ready signal (PPRDY)
03 =Printer Ready signal (PPRDY) was lost
04 =No response to a signal communicate request
05 =Engine reporting different source and/or destination than was
selected by the Formatter PCA
06 =Unable to synchronize the engine serial communications
07 =Serial receive parity error
08 =Serial transmit parity error
09 =Missed a serial communication interrupt
10 =Serial communication is hung
11 =Lost a serial communication extended interrupt request (XISR)
12 =Invalid communication timeout error
13 =Serial communication delayed

Recommended Action:
Cycle power. If the error continues, check the Formatter seating into
DC Controller. Ensure no pins are bent. Reseat or replace the cable
from the DC Controller and the Laser/Scanner Assembly. Replace the
Laser/Scanner Assembly. Replace the DC Controller PCA. Replace the
Formatter PCA. Note: These connections may appear to be correct, but
if the problem persists, reseat cable connections making sure they are
properly connected.

Hope that helps?

  Yes, there is software out there that will allow you to reset your Epson Chip
printers.

  Before we go and give you the link we first want you to understand a few
things:

  1. This software is a very poweful piece of software and should not be used
without first reading the accompanied instructions.

  2. We have no stake in this software and there is no finacial benefit for our
recommending it. We do recommend it because it is out there and works . We are
in the ink business, not the chip reset business. Any way we can make it easier
for you to refill benefits us greatly

  3. Due to some recent architecure changes in chip design some printers can not
have their chip reset with the softwa, but the software will allow you to store
the values of a full status. If this alternative does not fufill your needs we
do have available chip resetters by request.

I read you replaced the ink tank, but you may need to replace the printhead. I'm
not familiar with this model. I can remember when I used to get Canon inkjets
into the shop for the same issues you're having and they were 1.5 to 2 years old
with much use. Replacing the printhead solved the problem I'd say 98% of the
time and the other 2% had a real hardcore error not worth fixing. It sounds like
the printhead in this model is user replaceable and I'm suprised Canon didn't
recommend it. If it's like it was back then, when you buy the printhead, it will
also come with each ink tank. It may be costly, but unless the tech has one that
is in good shape to test with, then I believe that's your only option, other
than buying a new printer as you sugested.

I'm not sure what you mean by a cartridge for printing labels. Do the
labels print OK with the original cartridge? If not, it may be the
labels. Also try the new cartridge with standard paper to verify
print quality.

Hello,

I have a Lemxark T620 and I need to print a bunch of labels with it.
So I purchased a few 12A6360 cartridges. Which are supposed to be for

than the prints I was getting with the 12A6865 cartridge that I had in

Any suggestions?

Hello, Experts
I am having an issue with a HP2420, after the user replaced an expired toner now
the printer will only print an image on 2/3 of the right side of the page or
there abouts. I tried swapping toner but no help, I then checked the contacts
and the transfer roller (including the 2 springs underneath) and they all seemed
good. I cleaned the printer out the best I could and tried to clean the window
for the scanner and then by putting in the first toner I was able to get it to
start printing the whole page. Well that was yesterday and now today it is
printing so faint that the user can't read it.....I was thinking either the HVPS
or scanner, but couldn't figure out why it would all of a sudden start this
right after a toner replacement. So I figured it must have to do with some kind
of a contact for the toner or transfer roller, but can't really see anything
obvious. I haven't had any experience with this model before now, although we
have 4 on hand, but have
  never had any issues with them. Does anyone have any experience with this
particular issue on this printer? I am open to any suggestion. Thanks for you
help
