Well, a second download yields a different MD5 which, unhelpfully, doesn't match
yours, either. I'll let a third run overnight and see if any of them match.

I do now realize, though, that I was writing the image to a partition
(/dev/sdb1), not to the device (/dev/sdb). This time, the image yields a
Frontpath boot screen, but it doesn't make it much beyond the progress bar
completion when it gets into a loop that blinks the screen erratically.
Progress, though, still.

Hi All, I have recently cleaned out my cupboard and found my Progear 1050 HX+, it has no OS on it. I thought I would have a go at installing linux on it....
