Description
This group welcomes all Americans and Canadians willing to work together for the benefit of American and Canadian Information Technology professionals. We support well paying American jobs for Americans who have invested in both their education and career growth in computer and other engineering fields. Furthermore, we support an America belonging to the American people and not to the world or the 'market.' Our goals is: NO MORE H1-Bs or other non citizen workers in the US!! Send them all home and hire American citizens in America. All races are welcome here! We are US citizens of all races.
While many of us are highly educated; even those of us who have learned via the 'school of hard knocks' are well able to quickly learn new technologies and all of us invest long hours doing creative technological work.
We include software engineers, computer scientists, programmers, technical writers, technical team leads, software testers, embedded programmers and those whose work is related to these disciplines.
Because of Congress' American Worker Replacement Programs, otherwise known as non-immigrant visas, many of us have been discarded in middle age or later by large corporations. Thus the need for the Programmers Guild. We are an organization designed to fight for the rights of highly experienced and well trained American technology professionals.
We form and support coalitions with other groups supporting American workers, such as the American Engineering Association and HireAmericanCitizens, and RescueAmericanJobs.
You are welcome to join this group if you support our members and our goals. Job posting is OK only if the jobs are for Americans or in the US. However our prime focus is activism not job seekers. You can join us ONLY if you tell me who you are. No fake IDs or hidden accounts.
