"Thought is real, physical is the illusion. Ironic, huh?"
- What Dreams May Come

Dear PsiPog Users,

While the new design is still in the works, other things are in
the mix. New and innovative techniques are always in the works
under the techniques section of the forum, so if you are growing
bored with regular old constructs, or just need a few ideas to
get more out of your practice, you should stop by. Also for
those of you who have recently lost things or happen to lose
anything, there is a new project in the Remote Viewing section
aimed at retrieving your lost objects, so check it out at your
conveinence. It was recommended by a few people that the
newsletter needed more substance, so starting this week there
is going to be an activity each week for you guys to accomplish.
This week it is going to start off with Remote viewing and next
week will be something new according to what I think up. Also if
you have any suggestions for the newsletter will be gladly
examined if you want to email them.

=================================================================

Activity #1:
Simple as it is this week, is going to be the Remote Viewing of
a target. If you are interested in trying but not sure what to
do, check this page out for further info:
http://www.psipog.net/show.php?id=10164

As for those of you who already know the basics of Remote
Viewing, the target coordinates are: 1199-5577

Have fun! :D

Hey friends!

Well, after 2 years of hard work, I finally know how to make
visible psi. I was shocked when I noticed how easy it can be.
Right now, I can only use my index fingers. I'm working my way
up until I build one between my palms. Here's what I do:

1. Try to build a psi "ball" between your index fingers.
--- --- Cheap illustration of the position your index finger
should be held, but you get the idea. ;)

2. Now, move you index fingers in a slow and constant motion,
  like you turning a knob. 1. --- ___ 2. ___ ---
3. --- ___ ... Sorry but this part is hard to explain, but
just simple till the point where it's retarded. Move them in
a circular motion. Not together, but one moving up and the
other down. I hope you get this part.

3. Keep focusing and moving your fingers in a circular motion.

You'll start to see some sorta "electrical" energy. Like a line
moving with your index fingers. If you do (and I'm sure you will
because it's easy as hell), don't get excited because it'll just
fade away. I usually do it before I go to sleep, because it's
dark and quiet. Trust me, you'll probably see something in less
then a 2 days, maybe now! Just practice.

I came up with this when I learned in my martial arts class
that everything in the universe moves in a circular motion. The
atoms, solar, system, and energy.

My comments: Thanks for sharing this awesome technique, maybe
next you can come up with a method for visible constructs? :D

Wushu Psion responds to the post made by Metalknight in the last
newsletter:

Negative energy does not have to be dumped into anything- such
as a tree stump, like we dump garbage into dumps, as we know,
doing that causes future problems, the same goes for dumping
negative energy. Instead, form the negative energy into a
black ball, spinning counterclockwise. Have this ball move
around, collecting other negative energy, as much as you feel
necessary. Then, stop the ball and have it start turning
clockwise, as its doing so, imagine it turning a pure white
light. Then just have the white light explode and dissipate
around the room. This is a much safer way of getting rid of
negative energy. This may take a while to master, but once you
do, its very effective.

My comments: That's a great technique for putting use to energy
that you were just going to dispose of earlier.

Lucifael wonders:
Ok, first off I came here because I wanted to learn how to make
shields to keep my empathy from getting out of hand. That was
my only interest, however as time progressed I began to become
more interested in other aspects of psionics such as
psychokinesis. However there were certain abilties I wanted to
avoid altogether such as telepathy. However it seems that one
can not pick and choose which ones they learn or pick up. I
found this out becuase one day I was talking to my friend and
eventually I already knew what he was going to ask and would
answer him before he did. At first I had actually thought he
asked and I had just forgotten he did. But after a while it
became apparent that wasn't the case.

Why is it that one can pick up abilities they dont want like
that?? Or is it because I tried to avoid that I picked it up.
Which if the latter is the case why would that be? Oh and
another thing is if I dont program my shield to prevent that
from happening it will happen at random times. That has me
very concerned so I've been extra careful to program my shields
to keep telepathy signals from leaving or entering me because
I'm not really sure which that would be.

My comments: This is common for most people just getting into
psionics. For the most part, you became interested because you
had some degree of sensitivy at first and needed to find the
reason for it. Others just getting into psionics are recognizing
the existence of this extra sensitiviy, and are often bombarded
with it in many ways, due to not having a clear idea on what
they want to accomplish in the way of psionics, and basically
they are still open to most forms of it. If you are still
getting any unwanted input later on in your practices, then it
is probably best to shield as you stated. This way, until ready
to deal with what else is going you can avoid it interferring
with your daily routines.

Peebrain's comments: Also, this general sensitivity which brings
about empathy can also be used for telepathy. My guess would be
you picked up telepathy just from already using your empathy
skill and developing a little bit more sensitivity through some
basic exercises. Again, the solution is to shield.

BloodTrail shares:

Hello, I've been practicing TK and psiballs for a few months and
avidly reading all the articles on PsiPog and the newsletter.
While I struggle with TK, I think I've got psiballs "under my
belt". So I'd like to offer my suggestions and tips.

1) Learn anchoring commands. That was the best singular advice
I've ever followed through on. It's easy and I've already
securely programmed it to ground myself (I say "root") on command
as well as instantly make a fairly well formed and dense psiball.
Be sure to read up on it on PsiPog.

2) Don't always rely on other's techniques. After experimenting
a lot with psiball visulizations and techniques, I found the best
way is to really use those as "guidelines". The best way is to
make you're own sequence of visulizations and ideas to help. For
example, I use a Final Fantasy sort of idea to take in energy
and make a psiball (without anchoring). I imagine swirling around
in the pyreflyes that appear in the series, and then absorbing
those as "white" energy, then, absorbing a "dark" energy that
swirls around the white energy energy in my body. I push both of
those into a psiball and make a ying-yang sort of effect in my
psiball. It works great for me, but I still stand by making your
own. Anyways, good luck.

My comments: Most definately right, it is always best to follow
the basic methods to a certain point. But in the end, you are
going to want to form visualizations that mean something more
to you than just the generic terms which only get you so far,
due to your lack of connection with them.

=================================================================

Tim states:

Hey,
I'm new at all this stuff and I just found this site. I have a
question, and it is: that when ever I sit on the ground
(the earth) and try to make a psi ball I get light headed. I've
heard how it means you've took to much energy but it does not
happen when I'm getting energy but when I'm making the ball. I
have felt warmth when I try to make a psi ball but never seen it
do you have any ways to prove you really have one.

My Comments: It actually sounds like quite the opposite of
taking in too much energy, but maybe you put out too much energy
in your efforts of making constructs, which leaves you fatigued.

As for ways to prove they exist, there are many ways such as:
Getting a relative or friend to feel the space the construct is
supposed to be, and if you recieve the same input, then it more
than likely means it is there. Or try and change the temperature
and see if it affects a thermometer. Maybe if you are feeling
adventurous, go all out and try and make it visible.

=================================================================

Packy suggests:

An interesting tip for those who hate tests at school, where you
cant quite think of the answer, but you know it is either a or
b? Try pendling with... a pencil! I use it all the time, and to
see how accurate you are, put a little P next to all of the ones
you "Pencil Pendle" and go back and check if you were right. I
got an A on a test doing this for every question.

Enjoy!

My comments: Nice idea, just might want to start out with a few
doing that method, so you don't get angry if you fail a test. I
have only had one test so far where I have tried using some form
of psionics to get the answer, and it was because I was going to
fail it anyways, and decided "What the heck!". I ended up
getting a low b, but it definately beats the F I was going to
get otherwise!

=================================================================

Rahmid asks:

I got into TK maybe a year ago and didn't have any success so I
would stop and go. But I really got into it, looked up
exercices, and found PsiPog. I was trying to spin the psi wheel
with only random success. Then I went to a party sleep over at
friends house and it was about 3 and I was just able to do it.
It was amazing. Total control. I believe it was the many videos
I watched earlier that day on google video. And my friends were
able to do it instantly after watching. So, I can still do it
sort of currently. But when ever I would try and show someone to
try and prove to them that TK was real, I would bomb. I would
eventually get a few spins but nothing much nothing to change
their mind. I was able to do it under the table, but now I
generally don't do well. It has to do, I believe, with doubting
my skills. I dont understand it I believe, but I KNOW I can do
it. I go and try it, but it doesn't happen until i just stare
and focus for like 10 mins. Then I can get a really good spin but
even then I cant stop it very good, let alone change directions.
Its bad, in the very least.

Any advise, or similair instances, please share!!!

My comments: For the most part, it sounds like doubt is most of
your problem. I say this because you mention being able to do it
at 3 (which I assume you mean 3 am), and this is normally the
time we are tired and don't question many things as we would
during the day when we are more alert. Such as I have read things
at night before, and then woke up the next morning and had a
totally different opinion than I did the night before. Now while
you will probably never be fully convinced even after you pull
it off a few times, it does help when the doubt pops up less
often. So work on the doubt as you also work on Telekinesis, and
it should prove helpful.

Dear PsiPog Users,

In progress is the new design of PsiPog, which should bring with
it more personality and user interaction. For those of you
interested you can find the design here at www.psipog.net/rev .
Also in the mix is the new translation project going on at the
forums, which has a few members already working hard. If you
are interested you can email me or send me a message in the
forums, and I'll get you started ASAP. For those of you
interested in the interview aspect, it is already planned
to setup more interviews later on for your viewing pleasure.

Metalknight informs:
In the last newsletter, I read a comment warning about putting
certain negative emotions into psi balls because they radiate
that emotion. Well, in my personal experience, as long as you
program the psi ball correctly, you can actually choose to take
the emotion out of yourself, place it in the psi ball, and get
rid of the negative emotion. I like to find an object to place
it in. I have a stump in my back yard that no one goes near, and
I've gotten into the habit of placing any negative energy that I
have into a psi ball, and sort of throw it into the stump. Just
be careful you don't put it into anything alive.

My comments: Thanks for the tip, that's a great way to elminate
unwanted emotions throughout the day. While some claim strong
emotions act as a catalyst for some abilities others find that
psi is a good way to get rid of these negative emotions. Try
and find what ever works for you.

Admiral N ponders:
Once I went upstairs for a nap for a while, I laid down and tried
to go to sleep but I couldn't. I stayed for maybe 15-20 minutes,
got up and walked around for a minute, then laid down for about
another 5 mintues. I came downstairs and almost 2 hours had
passed! This is very strange, because I naturally have a good
sense of time, and I know that I didn't fall asleep. I wondered
what you thought of this, if its happened before. Thanks!

My comments: The only possible explanation I can come up with is
you most likely fell asleep and due to your restlessness dreamed
of walking around, or in a rare case you may of had an OBE in
the process of trying to fall asleep to explain the walking
around, and then fell asleep. Either conclusion I believe sleep
was involved to some extent.

Sleight of Mind says:
I probably should be practicing TK more then I do, but I had a
strange occurrence. I never really was good at the pin wheel.
I would be able to spin it in 1 direction and only have control
of it moving and stopping. It must have been 2-3 months since I
practiced TK last. I got bored one day and I started lifting
weights. Nothing big, just some bicep and for-arm curls. After,
I decided to go and try the pin wheel. I was able to spin it
seemingly without any restrictions and I had full control. Then
I sat back in my chair and put my hands about 2 feet away and
still had full control. I have not tried again right after
lifting but I have never had that control again. Is it possible
that exerting my muscles would allow energy to flow more easily?

My comments: A number of things could of been going on here, so
I'll mention a few. For one, unless you absolutely are lazy
you probably felt more refreshed and relaxed after lifting
weights allowing you to easily get in the mood the for TK. The
second one is that taking a break may have been what you needed
in the first place to succeed further on, because maybe you were
exerting yourself or trying too hard the first time. And third,
in popular opinion some people use energy to move objects, and
the fact that you had just come from a work out and putting
tension and stimulating nerves that you may have generated more
energy. As for more control, if you worry too much about why
it happened that one time, it might lead to thoughts of having
to have preset conditions to achieve such actions of TK. This
will only limit you later on, so try and practice more often if
total control is what you are after.

=================================================================

Ben asks:
For as long as I can remember.... if I get to the point where I
get angry, my psi abilities appear to work better. I dont
like choosing that action to get what I want in practicing
with psi balls and Tk. My other abilities are natural and I can
be calm using them my empathy, tp, and so on.... I am just
wondering what you would have to say. Like I said I dont like
using that anger part to my tk or making my psi balls do u think
there could be anouther way of doing it with out, well with out
it getting out of hand. I can control it for a little bit but
once it goes over where i have no control and it seems my Sub-c
takes over. Like I said, any advice that you have for me I'd
be greatful to read and practice.

My comments: Relying on anger to help with psi will become a big
weakness when you start to grow more dependent on it. You will
not always be angry to help with your psi, and in most cases that
you would actually use psi, are not going to be times you are
angry. If you are angry all the time, then maybe it isn't the
the anger causing the boost, but maybe your stressed emotional
level. Otherwise keep up the good work.

=================================================================

Patrick responds:
In response to "Zero054" theory of brainbuilding... It could be
that as you practice more, the electrical pathways in your brain
become more pronounced to the stimulus. Just like muscle memory,
in that the more you do something, the easier it becomes. The
human body is an amazing machine, capable of adapting to almost
any type of stimulus. The perfect example is bodybuilding. You
lift a certain amount of weight until it becomes easier, then
you increase the weight and your body will adapt accordingly...
This COULD be just as applicable to developing psi as it is your
physical body. So keep practicing!!!

My comments: Thanks for the awesome advice and words of
encouragement.

=================================================================

The Fool asks:
Aright, I've been trying levitation or at least affecting an
objects weight and was wonder about a few things. I have a scale
to see if it's getting light. I usually appear to be able to
change the weight by 1/3-1/2 pounds for about 20-30 sec which,
when referring by the terms guidelines, means that much force
upward. I find it strange that I have no success on the psi-
wheel, if I can apply at least 1/3 lbs constant pressure I should
be able to do it.

So what I'm asking is if this manipulation of gravity, a
different ability entirely. Affecting gravity would not causing
molecules to move though space as with psychokinesis, but
something changing a factor whose cause isn't even scientifically
decided upon completely (gravity). If it is a different ability
shouldn't it have its own name, techniques and such?

My comments: Affecting gravity, would be doing just that,
affecting the force that is pushing down on an object. If you
distort gravity you are going to affect the amount of force it
holds objects down with. Although I see what you are asking, and
if you are actually affecting gravity to where you can distort,
in a way, the percentage of gravity pushing on an object. Which
would explain why you can't levitate the psiwheel because you can
only distort a percentage of its weight due to gravity. But is it
really that complex, or are you just not used to working on
levitation with the psi-wheel as much as you are with other
objects?

=================================================================

Scott suggests:
I was trying to think of new PK exercises, then I suddenly
remembered one that I was already using without really realizing
it. Whenever I am sitting near a bonfire I use my mind to make
the smoke go in the direction I want it to go. It is really easy
to redirect since it is so light. I just thought this exercise
could help people practice so I sent it in.

My comments: Nice idea, normally I have troubles with the smoke
trying to blow on me no matter which side I sit on, so this
should come in handy.

=================================================================

Telepsycho shares:
I had a dream this night about me trying out something I had seen
in a cartoon. The cartoon is actually very well made and has a
good plot and theme. It is called Avatar. Yeah. In it there are
air benders, water benders, earth benders, and fire benders. I
dreamed I had to fight someone, and I decided to use fire
bending, although I had no idea what to do. I put my hands in the
shape of a ball, and immagined fire coming out of my hands. It
actually appeared, but it went in different directions and
dissipated. I tried again with the same result. I thought, "What
if I use psi to keep the fire together?" I concentrated and
summoned the fire again. I used psi to put it in the shape of a
ball, and it actually became kind of dense. Then I thought, "Ok,
now, I am going to program this fire to move forward at a high
speed." I did it and threw it at my opponent. He dodged and it
hit the wall behind him, and bounced off. I then thought, "I
didn't programm it to go through the object it hit, only to go in
that direction, so it didn't go through the wall."

After that, the dream ended. I thought after I awoke, that this
could be used to some extent in psionics to create psi balls.
Imagine a fire cloud between your hands, and use psi to put the
fire cloud together. You don't actually have a fire coud, but it
helps you get a lot of psi together. Also, visualization of fire
helps add temperature to your psiball.

My comments: Nice fun dream. Basically on the point of making
constructs, you summed it up in the last paragraph, the fire
would serve as a visualization, and a shell is always a good
thing to make sure you do to your constructs.

=================================================================

Hi, I've been checking out the site and really enjoy all the
things I've come across and read. Occationally I've tried some TK
(still hasn't worked). But things like Telepathy and Weather
control seem natural to me. I want to know to what extent it is
"normal" to be able to control weather, One example is a few
months ago my friend and I had gone hiking it had been raining
all day which I was enjoying. On the drive back we got a flat
tire and had to change it in the middle of the bad weather which
was at that point going on for a few days without signs of
breaking up. Perturbed I looked at my buddy said I'm tired of
this rain and allowed myself to feel the sun breaking up the
clouds and flowing through me, Within 5 minutes the thick grey
clouds broke up and the next week was sunny. My friend was
astonished that the sun came out of nowhere. and I would say was
a coincidence except that it happens to me often with weather.
How can I tell if I'm actually influencing the weather or if I'm
just picking up on events that would happen regardless? If
someone would like to help me with an experiment I'd really
appreciate it.

My comments: As for influencing, I believe it is possible, but as
far as controlling the Weather, that is more of an iffy subject.
Perhaps you precoged the possibility of sunshine, and then helped
influence along with others who want the same.

Shellie informs:
I thought this was good to use for some people who are bored with
using the pendulum for the same old things. I have even tried to
tie it up on a lamp and tried to move it and the whole lampshade
moved with it. That is what got me interested in Psychokinetics.

I have been working with Pendulums since 1998. I got bored one
night and wanted to use the QuiJa board but no one would use it
so I desided to use the pendulum with it. I used all sorts of
question and it worked. The Pendulum would circle around the
letter or number that normally the pointer would goto with
another person to use it. I could feel where the pendulum wanted
to go. It had a sort of pulling feel to it and when I got closer
to the point that it wanted to go it would lighten up in weight
then start to circle. I got some really good results with this
method. Though I know some people don't like the QuiJa board and
anything to do with it. You can also do this with some words
written on paper and placed on the table in random places to get
some results. I have also tried this with a map and a map of the
stars (I don't mean a map of the Stars like Tom Cruise and David
Bowie) Maps of the constilations and a telescope. It proved to be
a very interesting experiment. I got bored with just the usual
yes no questions with the pedulum and started experimenting with
all sorts of things. I even started trying to keep the pendulum
moving while I was in conversation with someone. I did a
presentation on Parapsychology in school and used the Pendulum as
one of the experiments I told the people in the class that you
could use anything as a pendulum and that it is a good tool to
use if you are trying to increase consentration. I got quite a
few people interested in learning more about it and some even
interested in taking Parapsychology as a major in college.

My comments: Thanks for the nice information on Pendulums, maybe
you will interest the readers as much as some of your classmates.

SorasKeyblade comments:
Lately im having precognitions on a weird chart. Every three days
I get a deju vu that totally stops me because I've seen it before
I was standing right there. Like I dreamt of an apple basket in
my kitchen and then tried to pick one up. Suddenly I stopped
halfway and woke up went to the kitchen to get one because it was
so real but it the basket was empty. The next day when I got home
from school the basket was full and I stopped halfway exactly
like in my dream. It was the clearest I ever got and its getting
faster. Do you think it will increase even greater?

My comments: That depends on the actions you take towards it, if
you try and worry about it too much though, you may drive
yourself crazy. Reason being, it isn't always clear when it is
going to happen, unless directly given, so even small
similiarities you find maybe the next day doesn't mean that is
what you precoged, or dreamed. In fact it could happen the next
day, as you experienced, or days later. The best thing to do
is not try and push it too hard, just let it take its active
course and notice what is going on. After a while you may soon
realize what and why such things are happening.

"A dream is not a dream if it comes true."
- Anonymous

Dear PsiPog Users,

From now on you will be recieving your newsletters from Yours
Truly, Oneta. I myself have been practicing for a while now, I
would have to shoot for 4-5 years if you want numbers. I
basically practice in most areas of psionics passively, except
for energy manipulation which I do much more often than the rest.
Other than that, I just poke around in the PsiPog chat.

PsiPog.net is having an online interview with Ed Dames! Now, I
realize most of you are thinking "Who is Ed Dames?". He is a
big name in the world of Remote Viewing, and was taught by Ingo
Swann. For more information (including two biographies, and a
cool video), check out the links on the calendar page:

http://www.psipog.net/calendar.php?view=1&day=1139688000

I suggest people take advantage of the event - it should be
really cool. It'll be in the main chat room at 3pm EST on
February 11th. (I'll be taking off the chat restrictions for it
so anyone can join, even if you aren't a member of PsiPog.net).

JoeT was the one who set all this up, so next time you see him,
tell him "Thanks!"

Now to dig into the mail bag....

Flyingmonkeyc reports:
"Hello,
First off, let me say just how 'psyched' I am to be here. I've
been trying to look for a site such as this. I tried the pinwheel
exercise and seemed to have it almost immediately! Of course,
some doubt came into my mind after, and I figured well maybe it
was my breathing. So I attempted it at eye level (so my breathing
wouldn't affect it), again, it spun as I wanted it to. So then I
think its my fingers making a breeze (I use my fingers to sort of
"control" the direction, makes it easier to visualize it in my
mind then act it out),so I tried it from farther away. Yep, got
it to spin from about 3 feet away (Though it was VERY difficult).
I was still skeptical.

My final test was put a cup over it. This would be the test of
tests for me, and would prove if I was actually controlling it.
So for about 30 min (I think, wasn't really paying attention) I
sat there, trying as hard as I could. Then it happened, it
wiggled. Then it started to turn. I kept it up for what seemed a
minute, at a very sloooow pace. I was so excited that I couldn't
concentrate any longer.

Now I KNOW that PK is real. I can control it with the cup after
some serious concentration, and without the cup almost at will
(at a pace that sort of freaks me out a bit). I just want to say
thanks a lot for the information, as now all I can think of is
training.

And if I may, is it possible to actually lift the paper off the
pin (well, I use a screw). I mean, obviously it will take time
if it is possible, but I just want to know if it has ever been
done? And is it normal to feel very weak after a long session
(say an hour+)? And lastly, is the fact that I am heavily
involved in martial arts matter? Oh, and one more question (sorry
for all the questions ;p ), if I want to make a video, how do I
put it in the media section, I think with a couple more days, I
can spin the pinwheel under the cup as fast as it goes without
the cup! Thanks again!"

My Comments: Awesome job on progress so far, Keep it up! For
levitating objects, it is possible in the same sense TK is
possible, as they both work on the same principle of you
affecting the object outside of normal means. People normally
notice fatigue after an hour or two, so I would say this is
normal. As for being involved in martial arts, being physically
fit couldn't hurt anything.

=================================================================

Metalicor exclaims:
"Hi, I think your site is fantastic and inspirational. I started
to try out body experiences for sometime now and for every
successful OBE I can't fall back a sleep. I don't know if it is
from shock or what but this really is a cool thing, and I would
love to hear ideas to continue my experience with OBEs. I also
practice aerokinesis, but sometimes I'm afraid to attempt because
every time I practice there is a storm either the next day or
right after i finish my training is this coincidence or could
this be possible."

My comments: Sounds like you may just be getting an added benefit
of the alternate state of consciousness OBE's offer, and resting
while in OBE as if you were napping, or it could be as you
mentioned and be your excitement preventing you from sleep. As
for the other, it is rare that we affect external forces as great
as that by accident, so to stay on the safe side, it is probably
coincidence.

=================================================================

SoreasKeyblade wonders:
"Hey! About a week ago after I read the articles about obe's I
did not try it and didn't give it a thought, but when I was
asleep I felt like I was awake and looking at my bed. The thing
is I couldn't move or even budge the only thing I felt moving was
my leg but it was not moving! Is this an OBE?"

My comments: This sounds like a brief case of Sleep Paralysis,
which normally results in a restriction of body movements while
being able to view your surroundings, which are sometimes
hallucinated, due to still being confined to a partial sleep
state. But this isn't a bad thing, as I had my first OBE from
Sleep Paralysis. Quite possibly it could have simply been a
dream also.

=================================================================

Scott from a previous letter writes:
"My friends and I were in a circle watching me move peppermint
sticks. I was doing it successfully taking only 15 seconds on
each until I tried to move one but instead 2 other candy canes
moved. How did this happen?"

Matt responds:
"I remember this happening before, when watching a PsiPog
member's web cam, they had 3 or so, and were focusing on the
middle one to move. Every now and then, the other two 'bumped' a
bit. My theory: Nobody's perfect, the directionality of the psi
he was using wavered from its original path, and instead of
moving the one he wanted to, it moved the other ones."

My comments: Its not uncommon for your intention to slip into
objects of similar shape/form when trying to do Telekinesis,
after all what decides that you wanna move this object and not
its exact look a-like next to it. Its left up to the clarity of
the intentions you put into moving the object.

=================================================================

Travis Rae notes:
"I recently read your tk thoughts, techs, and tips article and
had a very interesting experience afterwards. A few days later,
I had a dream where a friend was able to levitate a stack of
plates. They were normal, ceramic plates, but he continued to say
they were paper plates. I think that because of this, it could be
possible to make TK easier by tricking your subconscious that the
object is lighter than it actually is. I have yet to try it, but
you're welcome to give it a shot."

My comments: While this is one way of overcoming your doubt of
being able to pick up a stack of heavy ceramic plates by making
the concept of them being lighter, it also takes away from the
overall idea of what you are trying to achieve. I.e: Move ceramic
plates with the concept of what it would take to move paper
plates. Should this help you out in the short run, it becomes
troublesome in the long run, when you run out of objects with
lighter counterparts to imagine.

=================================================================

Jason lum shares:
"A couple days ago in my gym class, we were playing floor hockey,
and I was on the field. I decided to try something, and I
imagined my body in my mind, and having red particles,
representing heat, flowing from the center of my body outward,
and having blue particles, representing cold, flowing towards my
body from the outside. I did this for a while, and then after my
turn was done went to the bleachers while someone subbed for me.
I continued to do the activity in my mind, and I actually started
to get cold. This is the first time ive really done anything
temperature related, and the first time ive really had results
from any psi activities. Just thought I'd share it."

My comments: Thanks for sharing the nice visualization technique,
hope it works for others as well as you.

=================================================================

Joe Cool Guy asks:
"I have a friend who is interested in learning about psi. He
likes things structured, however, so he asked me what order he
should learn things in, and to help him build what I guess could
be called a psychic training regimen. If it works for your body,
it should for your mind, too, right? The progression I think I
will use for teaching him is: basic energy manipulation, psi
balls, tactile visualization, psi balls again (using tactile
visualization), and then let him go from there. But I was
wondering, would it be better to do it my way, or to teach
visualization first, and then go on to learning energy
manipulation? As for this training regimen, I am fairly lost. I
was thinking 30 minutes a day, with some kind of warm-up and
cool-down. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?"

My comments: As for Tactile Visualization or Energy Manipulation
first, I think it would be best to practice them at the same
time, since they are incorporated into the same practices, it
would not be anything out of the normal. Also, Tactile
Visualization is nothing more than a more defined form of
visualization.

=================================================================

Zero054 theorizes:
"I have a small theory on TK for after you learn how to use it,
It goes something like this: When using telekinesis you use your
mind to move maybe say a Psiwheel on a tack. Well the more you
use it the stronger your mind gets. Like doing push ups you work
out your biceps and other arm muscles. I feel using Telekinesis
works the same. You do it over and over and over till you get
stronger at it and then you are able to move it faster and
better. Then you are able to move onto other objets say a pencil
or pen."

My comments: As it stands the more people practice the more used
to moving the object they get and the easier they recreate the
patterns next time. Whether this is because it removes more and
more doubt that person had stored away and whether it actually
involves how far they advance is up to that person. I don't
believe removing all doubt is key, just don't let it stand in the
way of your mindset while practicing.

=================================================================

Callum Harber comments:
"Hello, ever since I was really little I knew I was gifted, lots
of things have happened to me that I can't explain. I was
experimenting ways to absorb energy, and I thought I would try
seeing if I could get some out of a crystal ball I got once. I
put my hands on it and felt the energy flow, but then it got
really hot and my hands felt like they were burning so I had to
let go, is this normal?"

My Comments: Without knowing at what mindset you set out to
achieve your goal, it is hard to assume why you received the
results you did. Overall, it is possible it is just and
oversensitivity to energy at the point in time.

=================================================================

Azric warns:
"This is in response to what espman wrote. I have attempted
putting stressed emotions into psi balls before. I believe you
should be careful when doing so, because if, say, you put the
wrong emotion in them, or other little variables, it will make
your stomach turn, & make you feel a little sick."

My comments: Thanks for the warning, as we all know psi balls can
be used as a medium for emotions, which means they will radiate
the same feelings as programmed with. Which is why we should be
careful what we program them with.

Hello everyone!

I realize that I'm getting bad at delivering newsletters on time, so
thankfully Oneta came to me, and was looking for some way to help
PsiPog - and I put two and two together. Starting next week, he'll
be taking over the newsletters. Thanks Oneta!

Another announcement: PsiPog.net is having an online interview with
Ed Dames! Now, I realize most of you are thinking "Who is Ed
Dames?". He is a big name in the world of Remote Viewing, and was
taught by Ingo Swann. For more information (including two
biographies, and a cool video), check out the links on the calendar
page:

http://www.psipog.net/calendar.php?view=1&day=1139688000

I suggest people take advantage of the event - it should be really
cool. It'll be in the main chat room at 3pm EST on February 11th.
(I'll be taking off the chat restrictions for it so anyone can join,
even if you aren't a member of PsiPog.net).

JoeT was the one who set all this up, so next time you see him, tell
him "Thanks!"

Other than that, the next newsletter you receive will be from Oneta,
so send in comments, questions, links, suggestions, and everything
else to: newsletter@... so Oneta has some work to do ;-).

Thanks!

Newsletter #24, for January 14th, 2006

"I am a man of fixed and unbending principles, the first of which
is to be flexible at all times."
- Everett Dirksen

Dear PsiPog Users,

Alright! The big news is: the forums are online and working! If
you haven't stopped by to check them out, then I encourage you to
surf to: http://www.psipogbb.net

The second thing I want to address is that I'm sorry for the
constant delay in newsletters. Hopefully you will forgive me.

Another update I've been working on is the updated backbone of
PsiPog.net. Along with this update comes a new PM system, which
I think is pretty cool. If you are curious, then check out this
link: http://www.psipog.net/bn/login.php

If you want to see how it works, then you can compose messages to
yourself, or you can send messages to a friend that you know will
be checking the new inbox. This new inbox is completely seperate
from your old inbox (which is good and bad).

Other than that, let's jump into the mail bag.

Psiballer writes:
"I read the last newsletter and it said something about making a
construct that produces sound. But couldn't it also be
theoretically possible to make a construct appeal to any sense,
like smell, taste, (and no, not fashion sense)? Thanks!"

My comments: I suppose you can think of ways that ANYTHING can
theoretically be possible :-). However, looking specifically at
constructs designed for different senses... I suppose one way to
accomplish it could be to implant the perception of the sense
into the target's mind. I.e., maybe the construct doesn't
physically produce the sound waves in the air, but maybe it makes
the brain receive the same signals as if there were sound waves
in the air. OF COURSE: this is all in theory! Which means it
means nothing! For those curious, I suggest not sitting around
and thinking about how it can work, but instead to go out and
TRY SOMETHING.

=================================================================

lux writes:
"Such a construct can be created and 'sent'. It may not manifest
as you expect, however. I know this for a fact. As I sent such a
noise (more like a moan of discontent). I was even surprised when
"it" manifested. I was informed of it by the recipient. Wanted
you all to know it's possible. Took a week though to 'build'. It
was not easy, but simple... AND it was emotionally based energy."

My comments: Cool. I suggest trying to find a way to measure this
type of construct in a scientific sense. Perhaps turn on your
microphone for your computer, and try to create a sound. Then
later analyze it.

=================================================================

doublecrosser writes:
"I have had numerous psychic experiences, not the least of which
include many events which are commonly labeled as synchronicity.
A case in point occured last week. I had found out about an old
fort in my area where some children had been kidnapped 150 years
ago by Commanche Indians. One child was named Cynthia Ann Parker.
She was 9 and spent 25 years or so with the Commanche. She grew
up, married a chief and had three children of her own. One of
those turned out to be the last Commanche Warrior chief, Quanah.
I took pictures and uploaded them to a web so my wife and
daughters could enjoy (they living 300 miles from where I'm
working). My oldest daughter sent me a return e-mail stating how
she just happened to be reading a book about children kidnapped
in the Texas Hill country by the Commanche. She had just read
about Cynthia Ann Parker at more or less the same time I was
touring the fort. As stated I have had numerous events of this
sort, some more, some less profound. My question to you, and also
my biggest concern with these events is simply -- what does this
say about "free will"?"

My comments: Synchronicity is some I do hold a strong belief in.
(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity ). Basically, it
means that there are some coincidences out there that are just to
bizarre and meaningful to be random. You have a good question,
and obviously I'm in no authority to ANSWER it, but I do have
some ideas that you might find interesting. I started having
these experiences after I developed a strong communication link
to my subconscious ( http://www.psipog.net/show.php?id=36 ).
I don't think it violates free will at all. I think that instead
it relies on the belief that we are all connected in some way,
and can communicate in ways which we aren't aware. In your
example, perhaps you and your daughter had communicated in an
unconscious way, and came to the conclusion to explore
interesting facts about Texas Hill country. You may have both
unconsciously found that fact to be interesting, and then found
a way to make this interesting fact conscious. I.e., the free
will doesn't go away - it's just being expressed through
unconscious decisions instead of conscious ones. Keep in mind,
this is just a random idea, and by no means am I trying to say
that it must be how reality operates :-).

"I was trying to make a psiball the other day, I could not
concentrate enough so I tried the breath counting thing. It took
me over 30 mins to get to 20 without my mind drifting (I have a
very short attention span). I tried the psi ball again and it
literally burned me... I mean not like it was hot but I have burn
marks on my hands (not severe but still). I tried this a few more
times using advice from the site but only got to either extreme
heat or extreme cold. Could you maybe give me some advice on
controlling the temperature of a psiball? I want to do more
experiments with them but with this going on I can't hold onto
them long enough."

My comments: Well, the obvious solution would be to not hold onto
them! Set them down on some cement or something. If you want to
control the temperature, then you can try not putting so much
"oomph" into the ball. Move slower and monitor the construct's
progress. Change your visualization to something more tranquil.
For example, try visualizing the psi as water. And don't hurt
yourself!

And I wish I did have the answer.

"I wonder if you can drain a battery and use it like an energy
source. So I was thinking about taking two new batteries and
keeping one the same and doing nothing to it. To the other
visualize little shiny yellow balls being sucked out of the
battery into you. Then check the one you experimented on and see
if it has less energy. I have an mp3 player that shows how much
energy is left so just as an example I would use that to check."

My comments: Awesome! This is a wonderful idea. This is very
healthy skepticism and a good example of how to use logic to test
an idea out and see if it has any merit to it. Give it a shot
and see what happens!

"I know it's a little late now, but in this past July's issue of
Discover magazine, there was an article about out of body
experiences and near-death experiences called "Extreme States."
A link to it is here:
http://www.discover.com/issues/jul-05/features/extreme-states/
but I don't know if you will have access to the complete article.
It was interesting that the magazine, a respectable science
resource, is not at all disparaging out of body experiences. The
article also mentioned quite a few studies of near-death
experiences--the one I am more doubtful of--and all of the
accounts seemed to be the classic idea including "such standard
fare as long tunnels, bright lights, giant rainbows, dead
relatives..." I'm interested in what effect these classic images
have on those experiencing the phenomenon, and also those
participating in other psychic activities."

My comments: Sweet, thanks for sharing the link!

"I've been practicing things such as basic energy manipulation,
psi balls, and tk on-and-off for about a year. Now, I have never
been very interested at all in things like remote viewing or
precognition. But the other day, when I was just-waking-up-but-
still-sort-of-asleep, I thought for some reason of calling
someone on my cell phone once I got up. I remembered that I had
left my cell phone on a counter in the kitchen the night before,
and when I thought about going to get it, I visualized the
counter and said to myself "but my mom or someone else who's
already up has moved it from that spot, because I don't see it
there anymore." I thought this was kind of odd that I could "see"
that without actually having seen the spot since the night
before, so I continuted to "look around" and noticed a cup
sitting on the counter as well. I also took note of the exact
position of the chairs and table in the dining room, and then
woke all the way up. When I was later out in the kitchen and
dining room, I was surprised to see that two out of the three
things I saw were correct. My phone was gone, and the chairs were
exactly as I had seen them, but I had only imaginied the cup. I
thought it was really weird that I had "seen" these things when I
had never even practiced remote viewing. Just wanted to share; do
you have any comments?"

My comments: Yes, and my comment is this - COOL! :-). The next
time you find yourself in the same state, try again, and note
your results.

terminate it! You will feel relieved afterwards. Just thought
you might like to know about that."

"The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you
change the principles you live by, you will change your world."
- Blaine Lee

Dear PsiPog Users,

Yooo! Sorry for the week delay in this newsletter - it seems
I've been having trouble lately keeping up with it. But never
fear! I think this newsletter is cool, and I appreciate everyone
who contributes and reads (i.e., you!) :-). Thanks for all the
help.

Since the last newsletter, I have been posting links to blogs in
the PsiPog news. Blogs are basically like online journals that
anyone can read - the blogs I have been posting are online
journals of people talking about their current psionic endeavors.
To see mine, surf to: http://psipog.net/blog/

Other than that, there is a TON of mail. So let's dive right in.

"Hi PsiPog.net I've just joined your community after wanting to
learn about telekenisis. My family has had a strong history of it
and we often see future events in our dreams and/or have déja vu.
I attempted the psi wheel exercice and was very disapointed when
I saw little to no results. This is my first day but I thought
I'd be able to do a little more. I have recently been ill and I'm
tired. Does that make a difference? Are there any other exercices
or techniques? I'm pretty sure I can bend candle flames as I was
doing so in church today except it may have been coincidence but
the flame was bending in the right direction. Any advice then?"

My comments: Some people do get results on their first day, but
most don't - so don't let that discourage you. Being ill will
have an effect on your ability. For more techniques, read the
articles on PsiPog.net, and also http://ppsociety.com has good
information on PK as well. Bending candle flames is fun to do -
but as you observed, it could have been coincidence. Buy a
candle and experiment with it. Control the flame in SPECIFIC
directions, at SPECIFIC intervals. This can help determine if
it's a coincidence or not.

Anime52 asks:
"I was wondering if you could use anchors to program it to do
telekinesis?"

My comments: Yes :-). You can (and do) use anchors in all
aspects of your life, not just psionics. For example, once you
start to learn to drive, things are awkward. But after you gain
some experience, you don't think specifically about what you want
to do. You might think "brake!", but that command is associated
with your foot hitting the left pedal.

Patrick writes:
"Greetings fellow believers! I have yet to begin any psi
development. I am still researching as much as I can first.
However, I believe I've noticed a correlation between psi
phenomenon and traditional Chinese martial arts, i.e. Chi. If you
know about martial arts, you may know about "chi". Chi is the
"life essence" in our bodies that, obviously, keep us alive. It
can also be described as breath, heat, spirit, or bio electricity
by modern western scientists ("chi" has no satisfactory English
translation). The only difference I can see, at this point, is
that in martial arts, you use your "chi" to injure or heal,
instead of manipulate as we are doing here at PsiPog. In MA you
focus on moving your chi/psi into, say, your fist to give it more
power and invulnerability to damage. Or likewise into another
person to heal a damaged organ or blockage of energy. Although
this is just a hypothesis, I would love to hear some feedback."

My comments: Some people do think that psi and chi are the same
"type" of energy - others don't. You can find evidence on both
sides of the spectrum. I personally hold the opinion that
whatever psi and chi are, that there is a more complicated and
deeper understanding needed than the current one. Our current
understanding does not account for everything we witness in
reality, and therefore our current theory can not be correct.
Whatever you are being told about psi and/or chi, always remember
that no one has it entirely figured out - so if we want answers,
we need to figure them out. Keep an open attitude, and continue
to think about what psi could be :-).

Ben writes:
"Hi, my name is Ben and I've been reading this for a long time. I
have been trying to make psi balls for a year or two now, but I
can't seem to concentrate and the most I can ever get when I try
to channel energy is this breeze type feeling going down my arm.
Got any suggestions?"

My comments: You've been trying for a "year or two"? Heh. A
breeze feeling is a good start, but something isn't right if it's
taking you that long. I suspect that you haven't been practicing
for a year or two STRAIGHT :-P. A normal psi ball should only
take a few weeks to a month to get (given constant practicing).
Set 30 minutes a day to practice, and experiment with what works
FOR YOU. It really shouldn't take that long. If you feel
something strange (like a breeze, or anything else), then it
might be psi, or it might be something else. Continue to try new
things and figure out what is what.

too strong (not likely but it could happen!), or if it was
programmed to resist psi? How would you go about taking it down?"

My comments: There are some methods, although some border on
psychic combat (so I won't go over those :-P). However, we can
talk about some common techniques for dealing with stubborn
shields. You can wear down a shields programming over time by
making very small adjustments to it's programming. For example,
if you programmed your shield to resist psi, then you can start
by convincing the shield's programming that "psi" is something
else. Over time, you can convince the shield that psi is
something completely different (like a specific emotion or idea).
The shield will be fulfilling it's programming by resisting "psi"
but it will think that "psi" is (for example) the emotion
"boredom". By redefining what the shield is programed to do in
little steps, you can confuse the programming, and then take
advantage of this confusion to remove the shield.

Zell is back, this time with a success story:
"Hi, sorry to write again within minutes of my previous email,
but I was reading a previous newlsetter, the one that mentions
"affirmations". I said to myself, "I will move this marker with
my mind, and I will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I moved
it." and it moved! I didn't trance hard or anything, I did it in
10 seconds, and I'm positively sure that nothing else could have
done it! (Im not bragging I'm saying this so that other people
might have this breakthrough too)."

My comments: Wow, sweet :-)! I'll have to try that out. I've
never thought of using affirmations directly with PK - thanks for
sharing your success! :-)

something. Just curious if anyone has experimented with this."

My comments: In theory, this should be possible... but I've never
heard of anyone doing this (pun intended). Try and see :-).

suggestions? I've read the telepathy manual over and over, but
visualization only seems to hamper my concentration."

My comments: If visualizing doesn't work, then don't use it :-).
I suggest checking out the article by Brandon, titled Increased
Sending Through Pinging. Also, check out information on Tactile
Visualization, and Gnome's Sensativity Manual. These might help
you better than the normal visualization stuff.

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hellooooo! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving :-). These
past weeks I've been working on the forums and my new eBook, but
neither are ready to be released yet :-P.

We have a lot of mail, so let's jump in right away:

=================================================================

greenlanterntexas writes:
"I was sitting in speech class and my friend was up doing her
speech. Well, since see gets extremely nervous and since I had
been reading your website and practicing I tried to put empathy,
I guess you could say, to practical use. I was sitting there
visualizing a tube attaching from her to me and I vizualized her
anxiety absorbing into me. I felt sick like I had "butterflies".
Then when she sat down it went away. So I thought, well that's
just a coincidence, but then I tried to do it to this other guy
presenting his speech and I felt the same thing. Do you think
that you can relieve someone of their emotions or is my mind
playing tricks?"

My comments: In a situation like that, it's hard to tell whether
your mind was playing tricks or not. A better way to test it is
to read someone when you can't predict what they might be feeling
by "normal" means. I.e., if someone is reading a speech in a
speech class, it's easy to logically conclude they might feel
nervous. However, if you can find situations where it isn't easy
to conclude what someone will feel, and try to feel their
emotions in those settings, you will have a better idea of
whether it's all in your head or not. Experiment! :-)

Jacob writes:
"I read the article about the Flare Party and thought that it
would be cool to try holding my own. I invited about 10 people
and when we tried to make the construct we were trying to make it
come out a red color, but instead of red there was no color at
all. Then one of my friends noticed that my face looked slightly
mishappen and we realized that the psiball was actually
refracting the light! Well my point is has anyone else done that
to such a degree, and if so I would like to hear about it."

My comments: Cool! Actually, it's been my experience that making
a construct distort light is easier than making a construct emit
light. That brings up an interesting idea though: maybe we can
try another flare party with the intention of distorting the
light instead of making it flare a color? Thanks for sharing!

Matt writes:
"I have recently formed a theory that it is possible to send a
certain feeling you get when you perform a skill successfully
through some sort of telepathy. I have not actually done this but
I have tried and strongly belive it is possible due to reading
many articles on psionics. I think this could be particularly
useful for teaching new psionics users because you would be able
to send them the feeling you get when you successfully preform a
skill. This way they would be able to visualize and duplicate the
event with ease. Any additional information or maybe some
experiences you had with something like this would be
appreciated."

My comments: Yes, this is possible. In fact, some people prefer
NOT to write articles because it is easier and more effective to
teach people one on one. I have a little personal experience
with this idea, but I have more experience in a slightly
different (but related) idea: you can also learn other "normal"
skills faster using a combination of empathy and telepathy,
along with watching the person perform the action. You gain a
better understanding of what you need to do to succeed.

"Hello. I've been trying to program my psi balls for over two
years. I know they're there, but as soon as I move my hands away
from the ball, it disipates. I've used all the methods in the
articles, and none of it's worked. Is there anything in
particular that may help?"

My comments: Take smaller steps, and work your way up to it. For
example, at first take one hand away, and only have the psi ball
in the other hand. Then when you get the hang of that, move the
psi ball along your arm (like rolling it along your skin). Move
it to different parts of your body. After that, try throwing it
from one hand to the other. Start with a short distance, then
make the distance bigger the better you get. Continue to
increase the distance until you are happy with the results. I
hope that helps :-).

Britt writes:
"I found that deja vu is pretty normal for me, infact it's
pretty normal for most of my family as are premonitions. Maybe
its related to the fact that most of my family are practiced
Wiccans (neo-pagans). I'm not sure if it's psi related or if it's
just a family "gift". Premonitions can be a scary thing; I
started having them when I was 12 (my Aunt later explained that
it's pretty normal for my family). I was wondering if anyone else
has something similar passed down through family."

My comments: Skills do seem to pass down from generation to
generation. That could indicate that it has something to do with
the genes (i.e., nature), or it might indicate that parents with
psi talents will raise their children differently, that will
promote psychic development from a young age (i.e., nurture).
I personally don't have experience with this, but I know a lot of
people who were born with psychic abilities who fall in this
category.

visualized blue energy flowing from everywhere into me and making
a sort of blue fire/aura looking effect around me. I anchored
that to the word, "Charge". Then I did it over until I got to the
point where I could gather energy by saying that word alone. I
decided to gather energy manualy while saying my anchor word.
Wow! I got a sort of "Aura Vision", where I could see aurasiand
electro magnetic fields all the time. My psiballs were easeer to
make (and yes, I could see them). They looked kind of like heat
you can see when someone is grilling, that kind of wavy heat
coming off it, but with a little color. Any comments on this?"

My comments: Yes, I have a comment: COOL! :-). Thanks for sharing
your experience - this is a perfect example of how to correctly
use anchoring to your advantage. Good job, keep it up :-).

Another thing: when putting my fingers together I can see the

friends, and I wanted your input on it. Our bodies, and any
living body, run on energy. This energy is produced from the
food we eat, and our breathing. This is cellular resperation.
Well anyway, my theory is that if we could unconsiously pull psi
into us, and im talking massive huge amounts, that we wouldn't
need to eat, and maybe not even need to breathe. This would be
because our body wouldn't need the food or air to make energy
because we are actively pulling it in psionically from our
surroundings. What is your opinion on this subject?"

My comments: Actually, there are people out there who claim to DO
this :-P. They still breathe, but they claim they don't eat
because they get enough energy from "other" sources. Some of the
famous people who claim to do this have been exposed as frauds,
however that doesn't mean that everyone who does this is a fraud.
I personally wouldn't recommend trying this out for health
reasons, but it has been documented. Check this out:

ring to the fly and "pulled" it in, and to my astonishment the
fly made a straight line from some 30 odd feet away to my ring,
landed, and imediatly died."

My comments: Er... that's odd :-P. If you're telling the truth,
then that is very odd indeed. Perhaps you should try some more.
I personally would make two lines and have two files run into
each other :-P. Of course, I'm easily amused. Don't get hung up
on trying to figure out ONE experience - try to re-create the
experience so you have more information!

this right?"

My comments: To answer your first question - yes, twitching and
stiffness is pretty common. Some people report wavy lines as
early as their first time trying, while others never see any
signs of their psi ball after months of practicing. Yes, seeing
wavy lines is a sign that you're doing it right (you're getting
results, right?). Keep practicing and try some new things! :-)

"Even if you are on the right track, you'll still get run over if
you just sit there."
- Will Rogers

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hello! Sorry I missed the last newsletter, life is busy, yadda
yadda yadda :-P. Happy 11-11!

The two most common questions I keep getting over and over again
are: 1. New articles? 2. New seminars?

1. First, I am working on a new eBook, and it's coming along
pretty good, but it still needs more work. There are pending
articles, but they need more work as well. A lot goes into
writing an article, and I would rather not post anything than
post something that is sub-par.

2. Yes! But not for a little bit. Don't think I've forgotten
about PsiPog :-P. 99% of the work I am doing on PsiPog isn't
being seen because I am working on the forums and other scripts
that are the backbone of how PsiPog delivers the information to
everyone. Things are getting done, but you just don't see it.

One thing I just finished was a small FAQ on how the new forums
wi1l work, and what the plan is for them. You can read it at
http://psipogbb.net .

With that said, let's jump into the mail bag. We have a lot of
mail built up because I didn't send out a newsletter two weeks
ago.

"Hi, I just wanna ask what is happening to me, it is empathy? or
coincidence? Sometimes I know when my friends are sad or happy
and they dont tell me their state; I see them and I just know
their fee1ings. How I can practice and improve Empathy and how I
can manipulate their feelings? cause somethimes I know their
feelings and I cant do anything to change that. Thanks."

My comments: Yes, that sounds like empathy. One exercise I do
to practice empathy is to just read random people on the street.
Go to a mall and find a comfortable seat in the middle where
everyone walks around, and pick out people and read them as they
walk by. Look for their general emotion, but also try to pick up
on specific things. For example, someone might be happy, but why
are they happy? Is this happiness originating from seeing
something funny? Or maybe you can sense that they have recently
released a lot of tension and stress from a relaxing activity?
Perhaps they just saw a movie. Figure it out, and try to hone in
on specifics. The best way to change someone's emotion is to
talk to them and see what's up.

changes your outlook, perception and confidence. And for all you
fellow newbies out there, just keep on going, it definitely
comes! You get tired after a while and your ability starts to
diminish as a result but you can do it the next day and the next
and the next! It's a wonderful experience. Million thanks!!"

My comments: Awesome :-). Thanks for working hard :-). If you

My comments: I've heard of Aaron, and while some of his things
are impressive, some things worry me. A red flag goes off when
people claim to be talking to alien spirits... But hey, if you're
not afraid of being a little weirded out, then it might intruige
some readers out there. A1ways maintain healthy skepticism!

"I just joined, haven't yet received a newsletter, and haven't
read any of the previous newsletters. So, this idea that I'm
about to throw out there may already be used, but here it goes:
include a "Psionics in the Media" section, where you mention
books, movies (such as Suspect Zero), and video games (such as
Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy) that have psionics as the
theme."

My comments: That's a cool idea. In fact, it's such a cool idea
that I've already started to implement it! Some of the backbone
stuff I've been working on inc1udes reorganizing the Articles and
adding more categories - one of which is "Psionics in Society".
For the curious, here is a link to what I've got so far:
http://psipog.net/bn/articles.php (it's a little buggy still).

myself! That's a bit easier than trying this on objects. Any
tips?"

My comments: First, I am skeptical that you actually levitated
yourself. Perhaps your senses were fooling you? If you can do
it again, try to get it on camera to confirm it. Don't take just
one experience and leave it at that - work to do it again! Also,
we get a lot of emails of people wanting tips. To be honest, all
the tips I have are in the articles posted on PsiPog. I've
written everything I know in those. But, just so I don't leave
you empty handed, there is an awesome article on PK by Float on
a different website, http://upconline.net - check it out, it has
a cool exercise to try.

it was called something else! Are these two abilities related?"

My comments: Well, if you are both moving pencils, then it sounds
like it's related (i.e., it's the SAME THING :-P). However, you
also have to be wondering what exactly happened in India?
Perhaps it was a clever magician, or maybe it was legit. Maybe
you can get more information from your friend to figure it out.

specialised in mind-reading/manipulation tricks with results
very similar to psi but without the use of psi. Although he does
not reject the idea of psi phenomena he simply states that there
are many scammers on the lose (something we are all aware of). If
you look around on the interenet you should be able to find links
to (legal) video clips of a show he ran on TV a while ago. The
guy is simply amazing. Personally, his displays have helped me
keep my feet grounded without throwing away my beliefs.
Hope this'll help.

Take care and thanks for all the great material on PsiPog"

My comments: Thank you for giving me his name! I saw a video on
the internet of him doing an "invisible punch", but I didn't know
who it was. I immediately ordered his DVDs, and watched all the
material on them. It is mind blowing for sure, and it does help
us stay grounded with healthy skepticism. I personally have a
lot of theories of what is going on (like I'm sure everyone does
who watches his stuff), and I hope to figure some of it out.
Thanks again for the tip!

"I'm having trouble even getting a sign of moving the psi wheel.
Whenever I do it I just can't even when I'm trying my hardest, so
is it REALLY possible to actually move a psi wheel? Not to put
down practicing telekinesis, but I've read an article that shows
if you position your hands right (in the same spot other people
put their hands in movies) the psi wheel will spin because of the
heat rising. This is really putting me down because now I really
don't know if its rea1 or not?"

My comments: Heat rising is a problem you have to deal with. I
suspect some people out there think they are moving the psi wheel
when it is really just heat from the hands. BUT, there is a
large number of people who have tested against the heat theory.
For example, some people (including myself) have moved the psi
wheel without having our hands close to the psi wheel at all. I
have done it from across the room. Others make sure they are
truly moving it by focusing on different directions for the wheel
to move. Heat can spin the whee1, but if it was ONLY heat, then
you couldn't control what direction the wheel spins. The
majority of people who have spinned the wheel have done tests
like these to see if it was heat or not.

"I've had the same experience as Nesvae from newsletter #20 (he
talked about forgetting to breathe during an OBE). A few times
I've been OBE'ing for up to 5 minutes forgetting completely about
my body during that time. When a thought comes in about my body,
something is brought to my attention: I was not breathing for the
entire time since the OBE started! It was weird because you think
you'd feel pain or something when going without breath for that
long, but I didn't feel anything."

My comments: That really surprises me. If you don't breathe for
5 minutes, then you will be gasping for air... Either your body
doesn't need the oxygen (highly unlikely), or you don't realize
that your body is really breathing (more likely). I personally
think that you don't realize your body is breathing fine while
you are out of body. If you can, try video taping yourself while
having an OBE (although I know how hard this can be because of
the randomness of OBEs). Perhaps one day we will figure it out.

success in the fields of psiballs and psychokinesis. One day I
was looking through the articles and found "The Ebb and Flow Of
Psionics" by Brandon. Now I was perplexed by this article.

This, for those of you who don't know, is an article on what
causes psionic off-days. Most of the possible causes can be
summed up with lack of concentration due to focusing on other
things. Throughout my studies, never have my abilities been
affected by sickness, depression, anxiety, diet, hunger, or
alcohol, nor have they been affected by me mood.

I know there are exceptions to every rule, but these just seem
like excuses to me. In my opinion, if you're having an off-day,
you're not putting enough effort into it."

My comments: Heh :-). Different people have different points of
view... Brandon's opinion is pretty popular, but others share
your opinion as well.

My comments: Well, although I have few experiences with precog,
it seems obvious when looking at the evidence that precog'ing
something is possible. How does the past, present, and future
all tie together to produce reality? I have no idea. How does
deja vous work? Again, no idea :-P. I do NOT agree with the
scientific/psychological explainations for deja vous (like the
brain misfiling an experience under long term memory, instead of
short term memory). If I had to guess, I would say the
phenomenon of deja vous is probably a lot of different things
clumped together under one umbrella. Some people might
experience it from a forgotten dream they had about the future,
while others might experience it because they saw something
similar a long time ago. Good question to ponder :-P.

My comments: Is any of this normal!? Heh :-P. I assume you
mean: does this sort of thing happen to other people? The answer
is yes. You describe two different experiences that are pretty
common: 1. sleep paralysis, and 2. distortion of light from a
flared psi ball. Most people don't link the two together like

Newsletter #20, for October 16th, 2005

"Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine
processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the
answer."
- Robert Graves

Dear PsiPog Users,

Yo! In case you couldn't tell, the entire layout of PsiPog.net
has been updated :-). I personally think it's a big improvement.
I am also updating the internal structure of PsiPog.net to work
more smoothly, and you should see small results of that when I
switch it over (some time in the future).

Let's jump into the mail bag...

=================================================================

Capricorn324 asks:
"I had a question about what Yev said in the 19th newsletter:

>> Yev writes: "...I have always wondered why you never touch on
>> the mirror aspect of the supernatural."

What's the mirror thing?"

My comments: This topic isn't really part of PsiPog, but if
you're curious you can do searches on google for Scrying.

=================================================================

Michael writes:
"I read what Psiballer wrote and wanted to add something that
happened to be on my first known OBE. At the time I was still
living in San Diego and lived alone. I had several friends and we
practiced energy work together. I had read several things on OBE
and was practicing it DAILY and more without much luck. I could
not seem to slow my physical brain down enough to be able to go
into the OBE.

I had had a hard day and was a little tired. I have this really
great comfy couch that I many times would sleep on. I laid down
with my arm around one of my pillows and started to watch a
comedy sitcom. These usually can help bring me down and relax.
BUT this time I had started feeling my hand waving around
FREELLY. It was a really cool feeling too. The next thing I could
start feeling my feet sort of kicking free and played with that
for a few seconds. The next thing was I was laying there watching
the things I had on my walls go by and floating up in a diagonal.
This happened for 5-10 seconds and I got scared and slammed back
into my body (not the right thing to do LOL). Every nerve in my
body suddenly came alive and was tingling like mad. This took a
while to settle down before I could do much more. This was the
first time I was able to calm myself to the point that the OBE
could happen. Everybody has a "something" than can calm their
mind and body to that degree. the trick is finding what that
something is."

My comments: Cool! Thanks for sharing :-).

=================================================================

Leziath writes:
"I haven't yet successfully made a psi-ball. But I was wondering,
would it be possible to draw energy from your source to form a
psi-ball, and then store it by allowing the psi-ball to stay with
you, like orbiting you or something, so that when you need it,
it's there to be used?"

My comments: Yes! In fact, this is what a shield does :-).
Except it doesn't orbit, it just kinda sits there :-P. But yes,
that is definitly possible, and is used by some psions.

=================================================================

Moonman writes:
"I think I have some information that you would enjoy to know. I
have been studying OOBEs for a while now, and have collected some
useful information.

During an OOBE:
1. My psi powers are greater than that of my normal ones.
2. I can increase my psi abilities faster than when in the real
world (as if I was practicing for a week in only one night).
3. I have found it possible to remember something from the real
world, such as something that somebody said that has importance
to what I am seeing.
4. I have created a flared psiball, and seen it when I got back
to the real world. I can then manipulate it."

My comments: I can relate to number 2 and 3, but number 1 and 4
I found the opposite in one of my experiences. I tried creating
a psi ball (once), and couldn't even get a sensation. I felt
nothing when I tried to make one. That was my only experience
with it though, so it's not really enough to say one way or the
other :-P. Perhaps some readers out there have experiences?

=================================================================

Prophet in White writes:
"I was wondering, what dangers are there in having an out of body
experience. High Octane energy can have devastating effects and I
don't want to be 'that guy who floated away and evaporated in the
sun.' *grin*"

My comments: Heh :-). Well, I can tell you what I know, and what
I believe.

What I know: nothing. I have no clue how OBEs work, and
therefore have no idea on the risks involved.

What I believe: I believe that I am safe. I've convinced myself
of this by facing my fears, accomplishing OBEs in spite of the
risks, then experimenting on my own.

=================================================================

Zappacky writes:
"Hello all! I recently found some kids at school who are members
of PsiPog (w00t!!!) and was wondering, is it easier to practice
TP in close range or far range? Also, all of my friends, and I,
are having difficulty with TK. We have all read the articles, and
the most successful of us has managed to make a string twitch. If
you could give us some pointers please? Thank you!"

My comments: It is my experience that telepathy while looking at
the person is a lot easier. I believe this is because I can
track their thoughts better and plot them against their actions.
For example, if I get a confusing thought, I can make it fit into
what they are doing, and things make sense. But hey, it sounds
like you got some friends to experiment with, so test things out
and see if you notice a difference :-).

I don't have a lot of tips for TK that aren't written in the
articles. But - there is an article that isn't on PsiPog.net
that you might find useful. Surf to http://www.upconline.net and
look for Float's article on psychokinesis.

=================================================================

Nesvae writes:
"I've been able to do OBEs since I was young. However, now when
I do them on purpose, in the middle of exiting my body, I
suddenly realize that I've completely stopped breathing. I
re-enter my body, and I'm wide awake, but my body isn't taking
any breaths automatically. It's not that my breathing slows down
or gets very shallow; I'm used to that. This is extremely
alarming, since it used to not happen. Also, when I occasionally
do it by accident, I do just fine with my breathing! This only
happens when I leave my body on purpose.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make sure I keep
breathing when I do OBEs?"

My comments: I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but I do have
a similar experience. I was investigating this same thing while
trying to OBE - I was curious as to what happens to my breathing
when I leave my body, because I knew when I was out of body that
my body must continue breathing, but I wasn't aware of it. When
I focused on my breathing, and tried to leave my body, it felt
almost like my breathing was fading out. It was insanely scary
to leave while my breathing seemed to fade out... but I did it
anyways and everything was fine. I'm not sure what is happening
in your case, but this is what I believe is happening from your
small description: I think at one point you monitored your
breathing while leaving your body (perhaps just by accident), and
you noticed that you stopped breathing (while in reality, your
BODY was still breathing, but you were becoming less aware of
it). This created a new fear inside of you that emerges when you
try to OBE - you think to yourself, "Wow, I hope I don't stop
breathing again!" - and you begin to monitor your breathing to
make sure. But the same thing happens, and you panic and return.

This wasn't a problem earlier because the fear didn't exist, and
you wern't monitoring it. Does my idea make sense? My
suggestion is to OBE anyways, for a short period of time. Say,
30 seconds. If your body isn't breathing for 30 seconds, that's
ok and you'll survive, but when you return you should be gasping
for air. If you return and your body is fine, then go a little
longer next time - do this until you are OBE'ing for a long time,
and at that point you know for a fact that your body must be
breathing on it's own.

Newsletter #19, for September 30th, 2005

"The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new
facts as to discover new ways of thinking about them."
- Sir William Bragg

Dear PsiPog Users,

Howdy! Sorry for such a long delay from the last newsletter. Oh
well, life happens :-P. I do have some cool news: I made an
updated design for PsiPog.net, which I plan on implementing
pretty soon. This new design was made with three goals in mind:
1. Faster loading, 2. Link to future forums, and 3. Look cooler.
Check out this preview: http://psipog.net/newlayout.png

Other than that, I have a lot of mail built up from the weeks
gone by, so let's jump into the mail bag.

=================================================================

Robert writes:
"I think that the reason PK is much more successful when you are
not focusing because even when you believe in it, if you've been
brought up your whole life learning that these things aren't real
then your subconscious is going to believe it's not, even though
you WANT to believe it is. Follow me? An idea for those who can't
seem to do PK, try doing something else AS you are practicing PK
to "distract" your subconscious into a book, a TV show, or
something else."

My comments: Cool idea. Sounds like an interesting theory -
perhaps it will work for some people out there who are having
trouble.

=================================================================

Shane writes:
"In the last newsletter there was a question that had something
to do with TK along the lines of, "Why can't I do TK when I
focus, and when I don't focus, I can do TK?" Well, this may be a
long shot, but here goes. I have been reading a book that gave me
a few good ideas to psionics. One idea has an answer (kind of).
Basically, it's S.E.P. - Somebody Else's Problem. That is, for an
example they gave, if some one wants to make something dissapear,
there is no possible way the conscious can do this. But if we
were to make it "somebody else's problem" (i.e. our subconcious)
it's basicly already done. So, if we were to think for TK, "oh,
it will move on it's own, besides, it's not my problem" it might
be possible to move it. This is just one thought."

My comments: Interesting thought - try it out and see if you get
results.

=================================================================

Moonman writes:
"I have been practicing psi for some time, and I have been having
some real trouble with OOBE's. I can easily have one when I sleep
and have a lucid dream. But when I try to do it from a trance, I
just can't do it. I have only been able to have an OOBE from a
trance once, and it was on accident. Do you have any tips?"

My comments: I'm the other way around - I find it very hard to
have OBEs from lucid dreams, but find it a lot easier to do them
in trance. My question is: why do you care HOW the OBE happens?
Getting OUT is the hard part - and you've done it! Of course,
if you're just curious and want to push your limits, then that's
cool :-).

=================================================================

Diabolus writes:
"I was reading the PsiPog Newsletter #18, and was concerned about
the following advise that you gave to Diego:

>> Diego writes: "A friend of mine told me that some "bad",
>> powerful and ancient entity has "found me" ... Do you think it
>> is safe for ME to have an OBE while this entity has the
>> knowledge of my existence?"
>>
>> My comments: The first thing I am skeptical of is your friends
>> statement that some ancient entity has "found you". ...
>> Another question to ponder is: why does some ancient entity
>> care about you? Don't you think they have better things to do?

I'm just wanting to say a few things about your response, and I
do not intend any offence, but it did seem pretty ignorant and I
don't believe what you have said is very valid. First of all, you
seem to be making a less of a deal about this than it actually
is. Diego's friend may be an advanced psychic and know very well
if he is being followed by a negative entity. Why does an
ancient entity care about him? Why does any? Food, basically...
If an entity wants to be able to stay at this level of existence,
it needs to feed energy from people. I'd suggest to Diego that he
reads Psychic Self Defence, as that will give a good idea about
what he's facing, and how to counteract it."

My comments: The reason I didn't give that advice is because I
don't believe that advice is very helpful. Your advice relies on
three VERY BIG "ifs". If ancient entities feed off people for
food, and If Diego's friend is an advanced psychic, and If the
authors of Psychic Self Defence know what they're talking about,
THEN you have given good advice. Those are HUGE questions that
you have glossed over very quickly. In all honestly, Diego's
question falls outside the scope of PsiPog.net (we don't deal
with "ancient entities" and other "negative entities"), and the
only reason I answered it was to give him a different perspective
that he might not have expected.

=================================================================

Yev writes:
"Hey I'm a big fan of your site, but I have always wondered why
you never touch on the mirror aspect of the supernatural.
Whenever I gaze at it I always feel a different presence in the
reflection and it always alarms me. I was wondering if you've
ever heard of this?"

My comments: I've heard of it, and I don't really know what is
going on. If I had to guess, I would theorize that your mind is
just playing tricks on you. I've done the exercise and had the
same alarming feeling - it's indeed strange. We don't touch on
it at PsiPog.net because it seems a little useless. It almost
feels more like an optical illusion rather than something
supernatural (to me, at least).

=================================================================

Admiral N writes:
"Is it normal to forget an OBE that you had even last night?
Also, I tried pyrokinesis on an already extinguished match. I
concentrated my psi on it and imagined it getting evenloped in a
blanket of fire. I opened my eyes and I saw the match
steaming/smoking. I didn't believe it and I blinked for a second
and then it was gone... Did I do it or was it just my brain
making my eyes see what I was trying to do?"

My comments: To answer your first question - yes, a lot of times
it's hard to remember entire OBEs. I suspect it's related to
being in an altered state of consciousness close to sleep, where
your memory starts to shut down. To answer your Pyro-PK
question: I don't know! Sounds like a cool experience though.
My advice is to try and REPEAT what you did. It's always hard to
figure out if ONE event was something psychic or fake - if you
can make it happen over and over again, then it's a lot easier to
figure out what is going on.

=================================================================

Rackjack asks:
"I know trying too hard to use Psi can make you pass out and
such, but is it possible to train to use strong amounts of psi
without being affected at all by it?"

My comments: Yes - the body learns to adapt to handle more over
time.

=================================================================

Psiballer writes:
"I've been trying to do OBEs for about 3 days now and I'm not
having much luck. When I'm laying still, am I supposed to have my
eyes opened or closed? And when I do actually complete an OBE, is
it like looking through a different set of eyes, or is it like
you can feel your whole "body" is separted from your physical
body? Because when I tried, once I felt like a separate pair of
eyes were going through my house. Like, I saw my celing, but in
front of that vision I saw a clear vision of my house, like
outside my door was the hallway, etc."

My comments: Your eyes should be closed while you lay still.
Your experience sounds sort of like an OBE, but it also sounds
pretty strange :-P. I honestly don't know what you experienced,
or whether that was an OBE or not. It depends on how "real" the
second vision was.  OBEs are not visualizations in your mind;
they often feel so real that you might confuse it with really
walking around in normal life. As I state on PsiPog.net, there
have been times when I've fallen out of my body while in bed, and
thought I actually physically fell out of my bed! :-P

=================================================================

Eeg writes:
"Since you can communicate directly with your subconscious,
instead of visualization do you just tell your subconscious what
you want to happen with the psi and it does it, or do you have a
more direct role in the manipulation?"

My comments: Usually I do what you describe - I internally
vocalize to my subconscious what I want, and it happens. I don't
do this EVERY time (sometimes I use visualization, sometimes I
use tactile feelings, and sometimes I just do it by sensing where
the psi is and willing it).

=================================================================

Jick writes:
"I do enjoy those movies you guys make. Can you make one of a
floating toothpick? So that it is not touching the ground at all?
For doing this seems like a simple task for a psi-expert."

My comments: That depends on how you define "psi-expert". For me
personally, making a toothpick float seems insanely hard. I have
had a lot of requests for more media, so I'll see what I can do.

Daniel Kuo writes:

Hey hey!

Welcome to all the new members of the Official PsiPog.net
Newsletter. We have over 2,200 people signed up, and it's cool to
see so many people interested in pushing modern science to the
limits, and discovering new things about reality :-).

USUALLY I send out a newsletter every two weeks, but this past month
has been a little crazy. I still don't have internet access (I'm
using a lab computer), so it's hard for me to work on ANYTHING
related to PsiPog, unfortunately. I'm in Technical Training School
for the United States Air Force, so I don't have a whole lot of
control over my life (anyone in the military knows what I mean :-P).
Nonetheless, I keep bugging them about internet, and they've said I
should be online in a week. Of course, this is what they keep saying
every week, but this time they sound serious :-P.

I wanted to e-mail everyone and let you guys know that I still plan
on sending out newsletters in the future, but right now it's just too
hard. Hopefully in another week or two I will be back online, and I
can continue the newsletters like normal.

Some good news though: the newsletter is now over a year old! Who
knew it would last this long :-P.

Thanks for your patience, and I'm sorry it's taking forever. I check
my e-mail almost every day, and I try to answer questions in the Q&A
on PsiPog.net. If you have a pressing issue, send it to the Q&A at
http://www.psipog.net/qna.php - or if you want my direct attention,
send it to: peebrain@... - please be aware that I might not
reply to your e-mail (but I do make an effort to try to reply with
SOMETHING, even if it's only a short sentence).

And of course, if you want to contribute to the newsletter, send your
questions/comments/etc to: newsletter@... (but I don't know
when the next newsletter will be :-P).

Thanks again and hopefully things will be up and running again in no
time!

PsiPog.net : Psychic Students In Pursuit Of Guidance
=================================================================
Newsletter #18, for August 6th, 2005

"Science does not know its debt to imagination."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Dear PsiPog Users,

Howdy howdy! No real updates on PsiPog.net lately, and it'll
probably die down a bit for a few weeks. I've just graduated
part of my Tech. School (in the Air Force), and I'll be moving
from Arizona to Flordia... which means I gotta pack up my
computer and get a new internet service. I plan to be back
online around the 26th of August - but until then, there won't be
any updates on PsiPog.net.

On the plus side, I am working on the new forums, and a new
eBook, so some cool things are on the way - but you'll just have
to chill for a little bit :-P.

Alrighty, let's jump into the mail bag:

=================================================================

shogun asks:
"Hey I've got a question that I've been wondering about ever
since I got into psionics. Why is it that you (and people as good
as you in psionics) never use it for gain. For example, why don't
you ever go to a casino one night and TK the roulette wheel or
read people's minds in card games. It seems with a skill like
that you could be the next poker champion. Haven't you ever
considered it?"

My comments: What makes you think we _don't_ do that? I've used
psi in poker games to win, and I know other mods have too. Just
because we don't talk about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
There is this myth that people with psychic skills can only use
it for "pure" and "good" reasons - this is complete bull.
Psychic abilities are SKILLS, and you can use that skill for
whatever you want.

=================================================================

Eric writes:
"When I was young I randomly had OBE's. I never told anybody
about this because there were no open minded people within 20
miles from my house. Anyways I finaly was able to sneek onto my
dad's computer to see if anyone could help me with control my
OBE's. Though most of it didn't help I was able to find one guy
who really seemed to understand what he was talking about...
Robert Bruce.

I'm sending you the link to his explination of Astral Projection
I hope it will help. AstralDynamics.com

I was also hoping you would put the rope tecnique in your OBE
article. It has really helped me gain control over my OBE's"

My comments: Robert Bruce is a strange character... I'm in the
process of reading his book (also titled Astral Dynamics), and
parts of me are impressed by his knowledge, but other parts of me
are very skeptical and question how he actually KNOWS this stuff.
Although people have reported that his techniques work, so he
must be doing SOMETHING right :-). Either way, I'm holding off
my judgement until I finish his book and try some things he's
suggested. Psionics and OBEs are very complicated, and we should
ALWAYS be skeptical of someone who seems to have all the answers.

=================================================================

Rackjack writes:
"I've read a good bit of stories of people using TK, but all I'm
reading is mini things -- rolling a marble, moving a pen,
spinning a psi wheel -- and some things that are considered
macro-PK don't really seem too impressive. Some basic articles
say that anyone can use psi, but what about those who have been
able to use it like a toy? So far I have only been successful in
doing TK without trying (and some a bit impressive - sliding a
chair across a room from watching a horror movie), but when I do
try, I exhaust myself to almost passing out. I have been able to
use basic psi just for the fun of it, but for people like me, is
it even remotely possible to enhance your psychic abilities to
the point that even macro-PK could not affect you?"

My comments: I'm not sure I understand your question, but I think
you're asking: How come you can easily move things when you
aren't trying, but when you do try it's really hard and
exhausting? My answer would be: I don't know :-). But what you
describe is actually pretty normal (if that makes you feel any
better :-P). When the conscious mind gets out of the way, it
seems the subconscious mind/body has little trouble moving
things. Stories of poltergeisting talk about amazing things -
levitating objects, making them fly across the room, moving
furniture and other large objects - while stories of controlled
PK pale in comparison. Rolling pens, spinning paper, etc. Why
is it like this? We haven't really figured that out yet.

=================================================================

Psyer writes:
"Well I made my psiweel spin but I'm sure everyone knows how to
do that. I'm writing because of my method; for such a long time
I could not spin the weel until I shot a spiraling beam of psi at
the tip of the psiweel and it spun!"

My comments: Cool :-). Thanks for sharing. This is why it's
important to invent your own methods.

=================================================================

cauf writes:
"When I try to do TK it seems to make wind push something. Say if
I look at a paper and want to push it I can feel wind going down
my arm and push the object. But if I sit in a room with no way of
making any wind at all the wind still seems to come or a cold
feeling comes down my arm. Is this normal?"

My comments: It sounds like you're pushing psi down your arm. Is
it normal? Eh... yes and no. It doesn't surprise me that you
can move things with that technique. Experiment with it and see
what else you can do. Can you send it down both arms? Can you
spin multiple psi wheels? Can you spin them in different
directions?

=================================================================

Diego writes:
"A friend of mine told me that some "bad", powerful and ancient
entity has "found me" but she told me not to worry too much as
she has put some kind of protective charm around me. I thought
that if I tried having an OBE it would posses my "empty" body.
I've read about some kind of security measures that the body
uses to prevent this like the silver cord and telepathic bocking.
Do you think it is safe for ME to have an OBE while this entity
has the knowledge of my existence?"

My comments: The first thing I am skeptical of is your friends
statement that some ancient entity has "found you". How can she
tell? Why do you trust her? Other than that, there are REPORTS
of things you can do to protect yourself - but I've never heard
reasons WHY these things actually protect you. Nor have I ever
heard of other entities possessing "empty" bodies! I personally
think it's just another thing people worry about because they
don't understand what is going on. We fear the unknown. If you
feel better after having "protection", then go for it. I
personally think it's all myths and superstition though. (Another
question to ponder is: why does some ancient entity care about
you? Don't you think they have better things to do? :-P)

like theire chatting. I dont know if this idea was said in the
meeting that was had but here goes:

Instead of stopping people from posting more than every five
minutes or something, only limit the time between posting in the
same thread. That should be good for people who dont spend much
time online and usualy post their stuff in "bursts" and leave
till the next day; and at the time avoid people from flooding
places with nonsense."

My comments: That sounds like a good idea! I'll have to remember
that if things aren't working out.

"The most common way people give up their power is by thinking
they don't have any."
- Alice Walker

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well :-). Let's see, what news
do we have? Well hmmm... how about... FOUR new articles! Yay!

How to Measure/Verify Your Skills by me
Product Review: The Gateway Experience - Part 1 by me
Researching Psi - Part 1, Telepathy by SunTzu
Out of Body Experiences by me.

Check out http://psipog.net/home.php for links in the news, or
see the "Recent Articles" list on http://psipog.net/articles.php

Anything else? Not really... The new chat has been working well,
and I will eventually be updating the PsiPog Chat Client to
support the new system (but it will be optional to use). I've
been working on the forums during my free time, and they're
coming along slowly but steadily.

Other than that, let's jump into the mail bag!

=================================================================

Judas writes:
"I want to ask you what do yo think is the relation between
psionics (understood as the voluntary production of psychic
phenomena) and the events observed in ouija sessions. I've been
present in lots of sessions and I've seen floating tables and
glasses, a three-seat sofa moving violently (with people seated
on), spontaneous writing in sheets of paper, "presents" brought
from another places, and some more weird stuff. What do you
think? Have you ever seen similar shit?"

My comments: No I haven't! But that would be pretty crazy to
witness. The ouija board is outside the scope of PsiPog.net,
but I wanted to comment on this anyways because I find it
amazing that you actually experienced these things first hand.
From a skeptical/scientific point of view, I recommend trying to
reproduce these events while recording it on tape, or something
like that. Investigate. Think logically. Try switching things
up and see what happens.

"Is it possible for psi skills to go in cycles... I haven't been
able to use mine as much as I want the last six months and
suddenly they all just hit me like a bag full of bricks. I am
natural with many psi abilities/gifts but this just never
happened to me before. Another question is do you know anyone I
can talk to that can help me control my empathy because it's
really getting out of hand an I can't control it."

My comments: To answer your first question, yes - skills can go
in cycles. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.
Six months seems a little long for a cycle, but it's possible.
I personally go in cycles of about 1-2 months.

To answer your second question - I can't point you to someone
specifically who can help you with your empathy problems, but I
can give you some advice on how to control it. The common
solution is to shield. Shield shield shield. Learn to create a
bubble shield, and visualize the shield blocking emotions of
other people, and keeping your emotions inside untainted. Check
out my article on shields, titled "Common and Not-So-Common
Shields" - if you are still having trouble after a week, grab me
in the chat and I might be able to help you one on one. But
please try it out for a week and see if you get progress.

well, here I go: it's turning a fan on so the pinwheel starts
spinning in one direction, then with TK you try to spin it in the
other direction."

My comments: Good idea :-). In fact, sometimes people find it
easier to stop objects, or redirect already-moving objects
(rather than starting objects from rest). Another exercise you
can try is to roll a marble, and try to get it to change it's
path while it is rolling. Some people find that easier, so give
it a shot!

feel the energy more easily... who knows? But I just visualized
the Psi comming out with my voice and into my hands, and it gave
pretty good results. It might be my imagination, but I think I
may have event seen an outline of the Psi ball when I did this.
If you like to sing, give it a try!"

My comments: Dang! Great idea! I've never heard of this, but
I bet it would work for some people :-).

koolkai writes:
"After some practice I found that the psi wheel is affected a lot
by the person's state of mind. (just like it was stated in the
July 9th newsletter)...for example I would finally get the wheel
to move and I would get a little excited and it would stop
instantly. I became frustrated due to the abrupt stops and the
paper wouldnt move at all which would inevitably drop my
confidence.

So I tried to find a way to make myself 'feel' my confidence
building due to the fact that confidence plays a large role in
psi skill.

You start off staring at the psi wheel like normal (do what you
would normally do) and if the paper moves, good for you, keep on
doing what your doing... but if the paper doesnt move and just
sits there after several minutes and starts to look like
frustration is on its way, DO NOT get mad. Close your eyes and
keep them closed and tell yourself that the paper is moving right
now. 'Feel' the paper moving in between your hands, 'know' that
it is moving. Do this for however long it takes to 'know and
feel' the paper moving, then tell yourself that the paper will
stop moving now. 'Feel' it stop; 'know' it's stopping.

Now open your eyes and behold, the paper has stopped moving. You
know the paper had moved and you know you have sucessfully
stopped it when you felt you couldnt do it before with your eyes
open. Now go on with your regular training.

I know this technique doesn't really sound much like a 'real'
technique but it has been an invaluable tool to me during times
where the paper would just not move an inch. I would start to
get frustrated and do the technique, and feel much more relaxed
and confident (almost like a mini-meditation exercise)."

My comments: This seems to be an extension of fooling your
subconscious, plus it adds a relaxing twist to it. You're right,
confidence does play a role. This mental exercise might not
produce results directly, but it sounds like it will put you in
the right state of mind to GET results. Leave the frustration
behind, just know you can do it, and relax! :-)

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hey hey! Another two weeks have gone by, and I've got some
updates on PsiPog.net for you! I've permanently switched the
chat over to the new system, which means you can use any IRC
client you want to connect. For instructions on how to chat,
and the new rules, visit: http://psipog.net/chat.php

In the next couple weeks I will be updating the PsiPog Chat
Client so it's compatible with the new system, but until then
you'll have to rely on mIRC or some other client.

I wanted to post some new articles today so I could tell everyone
about them in this newsletter, but I decided to post them
tomorrow instead... but hey! Why not tell you about them
anyways?

The first article is by me, and is titled "How to Measure/Verify
Your Skills". The article explains different ways to test your
skills, and measure your progress.

The second article is by me, and is titled "Product Review: The
Gateway Experience - Part 1". In this article, I review The
Gateway Experience, sold by Hemi-Sync.com. In this first part,
I am reviewing the first half of the program... Later I will
write a second part on the second half :-P.

And the third article is by SunTzu, with a pending title. It's
about research into telepathy, and explains how telepathy has
been proven by science in the past multiple times. It also
discusses some theories on how telepathy works by the scientists
who performed the original tests. It's an awesome read :-).

Check for those articles on Sunday... HOPEFULLY they'll be up by
then.

Other than that, let's jump into the mail bag!

Pyro/Cryokinesis and have a friend of the opposite of you. The
object of the game is to keep the fire going through the time
limit(Pyro), or put it out(Cryo). This is fun, increases your
skill, and boosts your self confidence! The time limit is realy
up to you."

My comments: Cool :-). Just be safe :-).

"Hi, I am very new to Psionics, and I (like most people,
probably) have various questions about TK and Pyro. I was
wondering what is some of the biggest things anyone on the site
has moved with their mind? I was also wondering if anyone has
ever heard of lighting a cigarette, cigar, etc. with pyro and if
that was possible? I am too new, I dont even know if I am
getting the psi-ball or not to work, but just some random
questions."

My comments: NI has reported moving a rolling char, and Rainsong
has reported moving a canoe (if I remember correctly). I imagine
lighting a cigarette is possible, but I haven't heard of anyone
specifically doing that. Maybe someone out there reading knows
of some more information.

"My friend and I have been studying telekinesis for about 10
months. While we have both had success in rotating a pin wheel,
my friend is learing quite a bit slower then I am. Mostly to lack
of time to practice. I have the ability to move the wheel nearly
everyday and he has only moved it a couple of times. Can you
suggest anything I could do to help him out such as psionic
exercises. Maybe if we work together he could become "stronger".
Thanks for you help."

My comments: I haven't worked with people in person except for a
few occasions, so I might not be the best person to ask.
Nonetheless... we can come up with some ideas to try at least,
right? The first thing that comes to mind is just have both of
you try to spin the pinwheel in the same direction. See if you
can get it to spin really fast. If you can do that, try moving
something bigger, like rolling a pen or moving pocket lint. Be
sure to maintain a relaxed and fun environment... maybe make a
game out of something. I found that I could teach people the
pinwheel quickly when I showed them how "easy" it was, and gave
them the impression that they could do it, and it was fun. A lot
of it is state of mind. Maybe have two pinwheels set up, and see
who can make a full rotation first.

side and use of psi during time in the Air Force. Nothing big,
just a few examples of use of psi, and what "benefits" he got
from that. I think that that would be much more motivating than
the just "how to" articles on PsiPog. Same for the other staff on
PsiPog, if they have some interesting or funny event from life
that includes using psi, why not share it with community?"

My comments: That's a good idea :-). I know people really
enjoyed reading my journals because they included real life
experiences. Why not start now? Earlier today, my friend was
listening to music and I blurted out "Foo Fighters". He goes,
"That's amazing, I was just thinking to myself, 'Who sings this
song?'". The other day I had a dream about my mom, and it
motivated me to call her and tell her about it. It turns out she
had similar events happening in real life, and was worrying about
them. In my training with the Air Force, I listen to Morse Code
and type the letters that I hear. A lot of times I will trance
out, and start to type the letters before they are even
transmitted to me. It can be a little frustrating though,
because the program will mark them "incorrect" because I typed
them too soon :-P.

couple of minutes is my hands get hotter then usual and my thumb

magnetic feeling, I havent gotten this feeling, Have I made a PSI
ball or am I doing something wrong?"

My comments: Nope, that's normal - it sounds like you've made
one. Different people feel different things sometimes... I
personally believe it depends on the visualization, and the
psion's individual beliefs on what energy "should" feel like.

the value of the points system or karma system but will that
hinder those of us that may not always have time to spend keeping
up on posts or like to leave your 2 cents here and there?
Personally, psi is not an active part of my life schedule right
now, I have just transitioned from school to an 8 hour job, yet
still have the usual family obligations."

My comments: I can see where you're coming from. With the way I
plan on setting it up, it would only take 5 days, at about 5
minutes of effort per day, to enable yourself to post. I don't
think that is requiring TOO much. I don't want to make it
impossible for people like you to post and participate - but I
also want to give people rewards for participating more. We'll
just have to try it out and see if we have the right balance...
if things seem to unfair for people like you, I might shift the
requirements a little bit to make it easier.

"Knowledge has three degrees - opinion, science, and
illumination. The means or instrument of the first is sense; of
the second, dialectic; of the third, intuition."
- Plotinus

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hello hello! It's been a while since the last newsletter, but
never fear! We are always working hard on one thing or another.

Welcome to all the new people who have joined since our last
newsletter (on March 15th). Usually we have a newsletter every
two weeks, but things have been busy these past couple months.
But things will be getting back on track now that we're getting
back into the groove of things. I no longer plan on sending out
newsletters on Tuesdays - instead I'm going to aim for Friday or
Saturday (every other week).

This newsletter is going to be a little different from previous
newsletters. Usually I read the mail people have sent in, and
answer random questions or give tips on something psi related.
I'll continue to do that in future newsletters, but for this one
I want to talk about what's going on at PsiPog.net.

=================================================================

First things first - the bad news. Annie and Jespers (aka Gnome)
have left permanently for life reasons. PsiPog.net has an all
volunteer staff, so if life gets crowded, it's too hard to keep
up with it. But hey, that's ok... Thanks to both of them for all
the hard work they've put in over the years. Both of them were
highly influential in the organization, and it won't be the same
without them.

On to the good news though - future plans and updates!

If you've been keeping up with the news on PsiPog.net/home.php ,
the first thing you should notice is that we have a new article
from Yumper and Oneta on Remote Viewing. It explains Coordinate
Remote Viewing along with a bunch of tips. It's our first RV
article, so check it out!

Another thing you might have seen in the news is that we held a
meeting on the future of PsiPog about different ideas on how to
make PsiPog a better place. The two main topics were the chat
and the forums.

=================================================================

While we don't have forums right now, they are in development and
will be up... eventually :-P. We decided at the meeting that
a "karma" based system, with different user levels (like GameFAQs
for you gamers out there) would be the best. PsiPog is too big
to have it constantly moderated by staff memebers, so we're going
to give the power to the people!

How it works is when you join PsiPog.net, you can't post on the
message board until you receive enough points. But you can vote
on posts. You receive 10 points every day that you vote on 5
or more posts (similar to Newgrounds). Once you get a certain
number of points, you are allowed to post. The more points you
have, the more your vote is worth, and the more influence you
get over what is allowed and what isn't. Also, the more points,
the more features you have on your account.

When one of your messages gets deleted, or you do something dumb,
you lose points. That way people are motivated to vote, be good,
and everyone can moderate each other.

Obviously we will still have some moderators, but they won't have
to work constantly to keep up with everything. At this time,
everything is still in development, but that's roughly how it
should work eventually. You can check out the updates by
visiting our forum website at: http://www.psipogbb.net

=================================================================

The other main topic at the meeting was the chat. We couldn't
really come up with a good way to solve all the problems... but
I have good news. Towards the end of the meeting, someone
suggested I add a bot (a chatter that is controlled by a
computer). That gave me an idea.

Soon the chat will be changing so that anyone can join in any
chat client! How I will do this is a little complicated, but
here is the short version:

Right now, our chat channel is password protected, so only people
with the right password can get in. The PsiPog Chat Client knows
the password, and therefore can get in (if you aren't banned,
of course :-P).

What we're going to do is remove the password protection, but
replace it with an "invite only" channel. That means you can
only join the chat channel if you are invited. When you connect
to the chat, you will have to login to your PsiPog.net account
by private messaging our bot with your username/password. If
your account isn't banned, our bot will invite you into the
channel.

I know it sounds a little technical, but the features of this
new system include:

1. Any chat client can join - you will no longer be forced to
chat with the PsiPog Chat Client (but you still can if you
    want to).

2. Ban evasion is a LOT harder than it currently is (and it's
already really hard to evade bans). That means less idiots in
the channel, and less work for the moderators (yay!).

3. Everyone still gets the normal freedom of a normal IRC chat
room, so no more bitching about how unfair PsiPog is, and all
that other crap that people complain about :-P.

This is what I'm currently working on, and should be done pretty
soon (I'm thinking a month or two?). So look out for that!

=================================================================

Thanks for reading - sorry this newsletter didn't have anything
psionic related, but it'll be back to normal in two weeks.

If you have specific suggestions and ideas for PsiPog.net, then
send them to peebrain@... - if you have normal questions
on psionic issues, either submit them to the Q and A, or send
them in to the newsletter at: newsletter@...

See you in two weeks!

Hiya Poggers! Our fearless leader Peebrain has left for bootcamp,

them and we'll try to answer your questions.

Hi!
Lately I've observed an interesting thing with
visualisation. I visualise, e.g. an orange and I cut
it in half by a knife or something, then I merge it.
Everything's OK, but after a few seconds the orange
fall apart in half again. My friends have the same
problem as me. Is it possible to avoid visualizing the half
splitting again?

Our Comments:
I think this is a very common problem, actually. I've had it
myself several times, and I remember struggling with it when
I was very young. Again, the secret word is practice. Try
visualizing a whole scene, keep adding more and more detail to
it, and if you lose it, start over. Keep doing this until you
can keep a lot of details. I hope this helps!

=================================================================

Packy writes:
This is strange...
I cannot make a psiball yet (I'm more a telepath and empath),
but I needed to make a shield (I was getting overwhelmed). I
tried making a psiball, but once again I was not able to under
stress. I tried a new method. I visualized psi moving out of my
body, making a bubble around me, and continuously circulating
and turning incoming emotions into psi and using them to feed the
shield. It only works in high emotion areas (a.k.a. school) but
it is interesting. It's not a "hard" shield, it doesn't block,
but it does turn down the volume considerably.

Our Comments:
That's a good idea Packy! This is a good example of doing what
works for you. For the most part we all function the same way
psionically, however our methods and visualizations for doing such
vary greatly. As far as your shield is concerned, Packy, you are
only programming it to stabilize itself with incoming energies.
You can try to program it to be a "hard" shield as well, which
could help to further dampen or block out any forms of unwanted
telepathy or energy.

Hi there!
I am just wondering if anyone can help me with looking
into the future. Actually, a few years ago I had an experience of
seeing a scene for about 3 sec. and after 2 weeks from that time,
there it was, the one I saw from my vision. It was like this: I
was on a boat and sitting on the side, watching outside the
window when in less than a second the view a few feet away
suddenly changed while inside the boat remained at the present.

Our Comments:
Wow, sounds like a case of spontaneous precognition. Here's what
you can do to try and train yourself to receive more precognitive
information: each night try to make predictions about the next
day. Be sure to record all of your predictions in a notebook to
keep track of your hits and misses. What you predict can be as
simple as what will happen in school, or more complex predictions,
such as major world events. I'd start small and work your way up,
though. Good luck! (On a side note, I'd like to give credit to
Rainsong who originally informed me of this method of practice.)

Hello, I have a question: a friend and I have been practicing
telekinesis but we haven't had very good results. Sometimes we
send some colors to our minds, they are sometimes correct, but
some others aren't. Could you please tell me an exercise guide
and also techniques about psi balls?

Our Comments:
Ok, well first it's good to see that you're experimenting with
multiple abilities rather than sticking with just one. Whether
it is telekinesis, telepathy, or energy manipulation, it cannot
be stressed enough that practice plays a tremendous role in your
improvement! Practice, practice, practice! As far as exercise
guides and techniques for psiballs, there are plenty on the
psipog website. Best of luck!

=================================================================

Ok guys, let's finish this newsletter off with a practice tool
that some people may overlook. It's a simple deck of cards. You
can use them to practice just about every ability. Here's a few
examples:
1) Psychometry: Shuffle the deck and place 5 cards face down in
front of you. Try to guess the color, suit, and number/face of
each of the cards when you touch the objects.
2) Telepathy: Find a partner and have each person take half of the
deck. Go back and forth sending and receiving the cards. Playing
cards have both shapes and colors, though not as many as you would
encounter playing a game of S+C.
3) Telekinesis: This one will require a bit of imagination. You
can throw a card in the air, and then try to throw off it's flight
course while it's in mid air. Stack two cards against each other
and try to knock them over with TK.
4) Precognition: My brother and I used to play a game we dubbed
"Who Will Run Out of Cards First". You'll need two people for
this game. Shuffle the deck, and give each person half of the
deck. Figure out who will go first, and then that person will
try to guess what card he will flip over next from his half of
the deck. When someone gets a hit (guesses correctly), he stops
guessing and the other person does the same thing. The first
person to run out of cards is the loser.

Good luck with this, and remember, have fun with it!

- Jacques Cousteau

Dear PsiPog Users,

Yoooo! How's it going? Good I hope :-). If not, then maybe
some cool pictures of bent silverware would help? The PK Party
was a ton of fun, with about 75 people total at it's height. A
bunch of people reported bending their metal, and sent me pics!
Check them out at: http://www.psipog.net/pkp/

I'll be writing up a page to add to the Feature section some time
in the future, but until then you can check out the pics at the
above URL.

I've also updated the Q&A so that members can rate each question
and answer, to whether it was helpful or not. Helpful ones can
be sorted to the top, and boring useless ones can be pushed
towards the end. I figured if Amazon.com uses the same idea,
then it's a good move for PsiPog.net too ;-P.

Speaking of ideas - I'm looking for ideas on how to improve
PsiPog! We're going to eventually have a forum, but that won't
be for a while, so in the meantime I want to be open to what
everyone else thinks could improve the website. So if you have
ideas on how things could work better, or have a totally insane
idea about psionics that we could get together online and try
out, then send it in! E-mail: ideas@...

And as usual, specifically with this newsletter we like questions
and comments too. If you have something to write in for the
newsletter, then send it to: newsletter@...

That said, let's check what people have sent in the past two
weeks...

ben writes:
"Hey, as long as I can remember I've had natural abilities.
Lately they've shut down. I use them daily for certain things,
and I could send off pings long distance, but lately I havent
been able to send any type of ping. I was wondering if you knew
anything that would help? Another question is that when I get
really mad, my abilities become powerful - I mean I've thrown
things at people with TK and it scares me. I was wondering if I
could harness it with out getting so angry."

My comments: To answer your first question - sometimes we just
have off days. Like any other skill, some days we are just on
the ball and can do anything, and other days we can't do one
thing right. Try to roll with the punches and pick yourself up -
the skills aren't gone, just try again later. For your second
question, I can't really speak from personal experience. Usually
I WANT things to go flying across the room... I don't want to
STOP it from happening :-P. But I do feel your pain in a smaller
scale - I've had "outbursts" which wern't pleasant from intense
emotion. Shielding can help, but also dealing with your anger
before it becomes a big problem can prevent it too. Harnessing
the same power in controlled conditions is really hard - if you
can figure out a way to do it, let me know ;-). The only
solution I know of is steady practice.

"I've been doing Tai Chi for about a year and a half now, and had
formerly been apprenticed by a chi gung guy. I left because he
wasn't credible. Anyway, when I form a ball of chi, or psi, it
is like magnets that are of both polarities at times. Though I
find that I can control the polarity. Also, I have felt a
marshmellowy feeling at times. But, what I was wondering is if
you guys (or girls) had any other type of feelings? I just feel
a bit limited when I think about the possibility of there being
more sensations of any sort."

My comments: I personally usually feel warm or cold sensations on
my skin. A magnetic feeling is popular too. Pushing and pulling
of different fingers... or heck, sometimes you can actually SEE
them with your eyes. I recommend not worrying about one
specific feeling or another... focus on controlling what you
have. Can you move the feeling to another part of your body?
Can you ball it up, throw it, and catch it? Can you have someone
else feel it too? Can you verify it with some external device?

"Howdy. I have come to the conclution that... well... How can you
practice something that does not work at first? When you imply
practicing with this stuff, do you mean try different stuff until
it works, or to just stick to a few techniques, and try over and
over again, and then if right, it will eventually work?

As for me... I can't make a psi ball... I can't make a psi dot!
Anyway. For some reason I find it entertaining and fun just to
practice something that does not work for me at the moment (even
though I keep a positive mind convinced it will work one day)."

My comments: To answer your first question, look at any other
skill. How do gymnists learn to do backflips? They can't do one
at first, but after a while of trying, they can eventually get
it. When you just start out, I suggest doing a basic exercise
over and over again until you get it to work. The basic
exercises have worked for many people, so chances are it'll work
for you too. When you get more into it, and have some success,
then start branching off and seeing if different things work
better or worse.

Getting psi to work for you from the basic exercises shouldn't
take too long... perhaps a week for the average person. Start
simple, and build on it. Read the first couple chapters of my
eBook, located at: http://psipog.net/ebook.php

"Hey! I've been able to make psi-balls since I was young but
never been able to think of anything to use them for. Here's what
I've recently used one to do: I was meditating one night when I
felt an urge to make a psi-ball and then I decided to program it
to remember things for me and notify me via thoughts. Since then
I've been able to remember all my school work and even began
remembering dreams (which I hardly ever remember even having!).
So now I've also made a psi-ball to improve my response times in
Math and Science, I sort of embed the ball with sciency thoughts
and told it to help me by bringing important things to my
attention as I needed them, almost like improving my brain's
filing system. So, if you can make psi-balls good then maybe
these are some other uses you can find for them!"

My comments: Awesome! :-D

"I've got 4 years of various meditations behind my back and have
been practicing psi off and on. I haven't had any real
difficulties with it until I get to projecting things past my
"range". Additionally I find that no matter how relaxed I am, the
back of my neck and base of my skull will feel instense pressure
and tension while working with psi. Basically that's 2
questions; what are some things I could do to increase the
projection and range of my constructs and has anyone else had a
problem with tension in the neck during practice? And if so have
they found a solution?"

My comments: Hmmm, I think you've stumped me on both questions.
For your first question, about increasing your sending "range",
perhaps the article by Brandon can help you, "Increased Sending
Through Pinging". URL: http://psipog.net/show.php?id=10141
I've never had neck pain from practicing psionics either. Maybe
some of the readers in the audience can help? I would normally
suggest just relaxing and chilling out, but you said that you
already do that. Maybe you have some junk built up in your field
that is causing the problem? Clean out the neck area the next
time you meditate, and maybe that will help.

=================================================================

For this last section, I want to recommend a cool website for
people to mess around with and play some psi games. If you have
some time to kill, point your browser to: http://www.gotpsi.org
They have a bunch of fun games that are psi related, and they
measure all the statistics stuff for you automagically! For some
tips, you might want to read the article on PsiPog.net at:

http://psipog.net/show.php?id=10110

In it, Vigil lists some tips of things that worked for him. Try
and see how you do :-).

Thanks for reading! Remember: submit your comments, questions,
suggestions, exercises, or whatever else you think would be cool
to: newsletter@... - don't be shy! Share your thoughts
with everyone :-).

On a last exciting/sad note, I won't be writing newsletters for
a while. I joined the United States Air Force, and I'll be
flying out to Texas for Basic Training in 2 weeks! :-O. I'll be
stuck without internet for about 7 weeks - but I plan to jump
right back into writing for the newsletter when I get out. In
the meantime, I'll be passing off my duties to other mods, so
hopefully the site won't fall apart while I'm gone :-P. I'm
going to write some exercises down for mods to copy/paste into
future newsletters before I leave, but I won't be able to respond
directly to the e-mail. Wish me luck :-).

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hey hey! Another installment of our bi-monthly newsletter -
hurray! :-P. The big news around PsiPog is we are having another
online PK Party! This Saturday, the 19th, we're going to meet in
the chat room and try to bend some silverware using PK. We've
done it in the past, and it's been fun, so let's give it another
go :-). If you think it sounds cool (it does! :-P), then check
out this link for more information:
http://psipog.net/calendar.php?view=1&day=1108857600

Welcome to all the new people who have joined the newsletter -
the purpose is to have everyone contribute ideas and share
questions, comments, and suggestions. If you have something cool
to share, send it to: newsletter@...

Don't be shy!

With that said, let's jump into the mail bag and see what others
have written these past two weeks.

My comments: Hmmm... maybe you have a medical condition? Or
maybe you're just someone full of energy :-P. I would normally
suggest grounding, but you said it didn't work for you... Try
exercising some more? Heh, I don't know :-P. Grounding is good
when you feel intense emotion, and need to calm down and balance
yourself out. Don't let the label throw you off - grounding can
be very simple. Take a deep breath, visualize all that extra
emotional junk around you shooting into the ground, and then pull
in some new fresh energy. Basically: just relax :-). Take a
step back and chill out for a second.

"I don't usually like to complain about stuff, but I've been
practicing psi and many other skills (from AP to just regular
sensing), and I seem to be having a very hard time learning
stuff. It's as if everywhere I look, every other person seems to
have been born with something, I had nothing. It seems like
every skill takes me forever to do, if I ever am able to do it.
I've been practicing for over a year now, yet the best I could do
is some crappy little psi ball which is completely weak, and
falls apart in seconds. I want to know, what exactly lets people
be born with psionic abilities?"

My comments: Don't lose sight of your goals. Why are you into
psionics? Personally, I do it because I find it fun to discover
new stuff about the world around me, that modern science can't
explain. Why do you practice? I personally ENJOY practicing.
While sometimes I get down in the dumps because I want more end
results - the truth is that I enjoy the process of getting that
end result just as much as the end result itself. Do you see
what I'm saying? If you're not having fun, and this isn't
something you enjoy doing, it's ok to try another hobby... I
don't think psionics is for everyone. And the fact is - psionics
works better when you are enjoying it. When you get all pissed
off and annoyed, it becomes harder to achieve something. Don't
worry about comparing yourself to other people - if this is
something you enjoy, and this is something you want to work
towards - then do it! I know it can get discouraging, but have
fun with it, and don't take it so seriously.

My comments: I plan on having a system similar to that in place.
I think it's a good idea - but it will take some time to tweak to
get it balanced. Thanks for the suggestion :-).

have to teach it what the answer is and have to calculate things
at least once."

My comments: What a strange idea :-P. I've never thought of
doing something like that. That's a good idea to try for those
of you out there who are bored of the normal stuff :-).

So if we try some thing harder than psi wheel (like rolling a
pencil) and then directly switch to psi wheel after trying for a
while, the psi wheel is easier."

My comments: This is a really good tip. I've used that idea in
the past to help myself. Those of you that are stuck on the
psi wheel - try something HARDER (sounds a little strange at
first :-P). Then when you move back to the psi wheel, your brain
thinks "oh jeeze, this is cake... this is way easier".

"Early this morning I was at school and a friend of mine was
complaining bitterly about his ears being blocked because of a
cold. I didn't think much of it, except he kept on about it.
Anyway, in assembly (place where headmaster reads match reports
and we all sing hymns etc) I thought I'd play around with some
visualisation to 'help' him. I imagined (visualised) a very
general thing about white light engulfing his head and thinking
something like "let his ears clear" or somesuch. Just as I
finished the sequence in my head, he leant over to me and said
happily "they've cleared!". Now this scared me! Could this
have been me or some very freakish coincidence?"

My comments: It could have been a freakish coincidence, but it
doesn't seem like it is. It's always hard to isolate ONE
situation and figure out what happened. That's why I suggest
trying to recreate the experience, and try it out multiple times.
If one of your friends complains again - give it a shot, and see
what happens. If you can do it again, that is a lot better proof
that it isn't a coincidence. Sometimes it's hard to balance
between being overly skeptic and calling everything a
coincidence, and being overly gullable and relating everything
to psionics. Sometimes it's a coincidence, sometimes it isn't.
Do some more tests, and try to see if you can do it again.

"About how long does it take to make a psi ball? When you learn
how to do it and you cup your hands, how long are you supposed
to wait?"

My comments: It took me about a week to get my first psi ball.
How long it takes the average psion to make a psi ball depends on
what exactly they're trying to create. Just a typical blob of
psi doesn't take long - anywhere from a few seconds, to a few
minutes. But during this time, you aren't really "waiting" - you
should be MAKING the psi ball. Not just sitting there waiting
for one to pop up out of nowhere :-P.

=================================================================

I thought I would include a simple exercise in this newsletter
for those bored and curious individuals out there (like me :-P)
to try out. Every night we go to sleep. Duh. But what is cool
about going to sleep, is that we are altering our state of
consciousness. I know that when people talk about meditating,
and trancing out, and doing all that weird stuff - it seems kind
of strange and foriegn. But what you have to realize is that we
alter our state of consciousness EVERY NIGHT! It's not really
something that is foreign, it just sounds intimidating because we
like to use big words to make us sound smart ;-P.

A simple exercise you can try every night is just to watch your-
self fall asleep. It's not a difficult concept to understand,
but to actually DO it is very hard. It can be very entertaining
as well :-). Here are some sign posts you might notice while
watching yourself fall asleep:

1. Laying down in bed, getting comfortable, and closing your
eyes. This is what we all do, every day, real simple :-P.

2. Shutting off parts of the body. If you sit still for a while,
you can command different parts of your body to fall asleep. Lay
there and tell your foot "go to sleep". Then tell your calf, and
then your thigh. Make your entire body fall asleep, but keep
your mind alert and normal.

3. Messing with your body senses. When your body is asleep, you
can convince yourself that your body is in a position that you
know it really isn't in. For example, you can convince yourself
that your arm is under your pillow, when really you know it's
sticking out to the side. You can play with this to the point
of inducing that "falling" sensation, by convincing your body
that it's falling quickly, or rising back up.

4. "Seeing" and "hearing" weird stuff. If you hang out without
falling asleep for a while, but keep your BODY asleep, your mind
starts to do some strange things. You might get flashes of
images, or see mini-movies, or hear people you know talking. If
you play around in this state for a while, you might notice you
can "tune in" to a certain person and hear them talk, or you can
see certain types of images.

5. Blurring the edges between "seeing" things in your head, and
actually SEEING them with your eyes. If you hang around in the
previous stage for a while, things become more "solid". It
starts to seem like you are really SEEING the objects, instead of
them just floating around inside of your head.

6. Enter a dream. Given enough patience, you can actually enter
a dream, where your environment feels like a normal dream world.
If you get this far, congratulations :-). You've induced a WILD.
Which stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream. Basically: you've
watched yourself fall asleep to the point of watching the dream
FADE IN. I've only done it a few times, but it really is cool
when you accomplish it.

And remember! You do this EVERY NIGHT, except usually you shut
off your conscious mind after the first stage. If you just keep
your mind aware of what's going on, you can experience some weird
stuff :-). And while it takes some effort and will power, it
isn't out of your grasp - if you can sleep, you can do this,
because you ALREADY do this without being aware of it :-).

"I hear and I forget.
  I see and I remember.
  I do and I understand."

Dear PsiPog Users,

Howdy howdy :-). First, the big news: our third PK Party is
scheduled for February 19th, at 7:00pm EST. It will take place
in the chat's practice room. Everyone is invited (as long as you
aren't banned from the chat), and you can even join with mIRC or
some other chat client if you want. It'll be super awesome and
fun, so don't miss it! :-P If you're going to come, read this
page before showing up:

http://www.psipog.net/calendar.php?view=1&day=1108857600

Anything else going on with PsiPog? I'm working on the new
forums. I've got some ideas rolling, and work is getting done.
Unfortunately it'll probably take up to a year to get it working
the way I want it to. If you want to check the progress, surf to
http://www.psipogbb.net . Click on the main picture, and you'll
be brought to a page with the progress.

Lots of new mail :-D. A friendly reminder - send all your
comments, questions, exercises, etc, to newsletter@... .
This newsletter is created from the things you guys write in -
so don't be shy!

"I'm new to psionics, and I wanted to know.... why does it take
learning the basics to do other things quicker? They seem to have
a little related, but not very much. How does it make it easier?"

My comments: You don't have to learn the basics to learn the
more advanced skills. But it helps. Think of it like any other
skill - when you first start to learn to play soccer, you don't
start with complex psyche out moves. You start with kicking the
ball with correct form, passing accurately, etc. In the same
sense, a lot of psionics requires the ability to focus your mind
100% on a task without distraction, strong visualization skills,
and the ability to alter your state of consciousness. If you
learn these basics, then you can build off of them in different
directions. You can take your trancing skill and have it help
you with Remote Viewing - or you can take that same trancing
skill and have it help you with Telepathy.

"Hello, I thought I'd share some of the things I've learned NOT
to do with psionics.
1) Don't link to people that are obviously crazy or poeple with
obvious emotional disorders. I've gotten short term disconcerning
effects from looking too closely at crazy homeless people.
2) DON'T TRY TOO HARD. If you are experiencing more discomfort
than you would when doing something simple you already know how
to do, stop and practice on something more simple.
3) Be careful with mirror shields; I've gotten weird effects
from making them inside out, or from trying to send stuff out
through them.
4) Always practice whatever shield you want to try out on a
smaller psiball level scale first. If you can't accurrately
program a psiball to act like you want your shield to, don't
attempt anything on a large scale.
5) Lastly, just focus on having fun. If you're trying to do
something that is serious or has too much emotional importance to
you, you increase the chances of going temporarily overboard."

My comments: Thanks :-). Great tips :-).

while :-/. I can fix the port issue with the new chat, but don't
hold your breath :-P.

practice."

My comments: Cool idea :-). Some people find doing TK on a
already-moving object easier. It can be easier to alter the
trajectory of an object, than getting the object to move from a
still position.

My comments: That's a tough question. I've heard of blind
people learning to see using psychic abilities, but I've never
seen a serious study on it. Run a google search on synesthesia,
that might pull up something useful. Here's a link I dug up that

when radio waves interfere in an area encompassed by high voltage

More interesting are the phenomena included in the effect:
Dislocation, levitation, changes in temperatures, energy bursts,
what we call phasing (scientifically called fusion of dissimilar
objects), all are documented on film, writing and stills (not
mentioning the results still visible). There is also
teleportation included though it wasn't documented. Anyway, I saw
this and thought how similar those phenomena are to what we try
to do in psionics. Maybe we use our neural system to create
micro-Hutchison effects? You can search google for it and see
what you can find."

My comments: I've never heard of it, I'll have to look into it.
Sounds cool from what you describe :-P.

block wind. Then, each person tries to move the psi-wheel the
opposite direction of the other person. It becomes a battle of

"In newsletter 8 there was a letter that was talking about how to
tell if a psi ball is really there and not just blood rushing to
our hands. I think I might have found a way that works, though
it is a bit inaccurate if you are looking for numbers. Basically
what you so is: Test the air temperature with your hands and
make sure that all the air around you feels the same. Then you
hold your hands away from your body and away from each other,
that way you won't feel the heat from anything but your psi ball,
if it happens to be heat that comes. Next you make your psi
ball. Since your hands are apart it may be harder to do, but aim
for the center of the gap between your hands. No, you don't need
your hands but it helps with visualizing a psi ball for some.
Now you remove your hands but try to keep the psi ball in place.
Move one hand around and feel the air around you before moving to
the area where you made your psi ball. There should be a change
in the way the air feels around your psi ball, whether it be
warmer or colder."

My comments: Wow, this is a really good idea. I can't believe
I've never thought of it! :-P I hope you don't mind if I
recommend this test to people in the future :-).

My comments: I have ideas in my head that I believe will be
workable. Some of the mods aren't convinced they will be, but
we'll give it a shot :-). It will take a while, unforunately. I
believe the ideas will work, and it will be worth it in the long
run. The bad part is we are currently at the beginning of "the
long run", so we have a little wait :-P.

Anyway I hope you can help me figure out what's the problem is

My comments: The first problem I see is you've been practicing
for only 3 to 4 weeks. Granted, some people get it quicker than
that, but others take a lot longer. It took me about 1.5 years
of on and off practice. If you are bored with the psi-wheel,
give yourself a break for a week or two and try something else.
Personally, I usually go between TK and OBEs. When I get bored
of TK, I move to OBEs... when I get bored of OBEs, I move back
to TK. If you're feeling upset and angry, then it isn't going to
work. Stay relaxed, try to have fun, and keep upbeat about it.

"Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no
loss of enthusiasm."

Dear PsiPog Users,

Alllright :-). We have a BUNCH of new mail, so I'll try to get
through the majority of it. Welcome to all the new memebrs of
the newsletter - I hope you find these useful and interesting.
They go out every other tuesday, and I try to fill it with things
people have e-mailed me with. If you want to send in a comment,
question, suggestion, weblink, complaint, whatever - send it to:
newsletter@...

What updates are going on at PsiPog.net? Well hmmm... I fixed
the Search page finally, and I also updated the layout of the
"Login" pop up thingy. Any new articles? Kind of... there are
always a large group of "in progress" things, and every once in
a while a random one goes from "in progress" to finally
"finished". I don't have any specific articles that I think will
be finished soon, but I do have a large bank of "in progress"
articles that could cross over soon.

OH YEAH! Don't forget to check out the new video in the Media
section from Float. It's so cool - watch and drool :-P.

Alright, enough boring chit chat, let's get into the mail bag:

Well here's the book: http://www.robertpeterson.org/obebook.html
I just thought it might be interesting to some one out there. In
it, it gives a pretty good detailed instruction on a technique to
have an OOB, with some pictures exampling how to do it. At the
end it even goes into some other things that occured in his OBE's
like Telepathy and Empathy."

My comments: Yes! I love that book, and I even put the link in
the Links section of PsiPog :-P. I figured I would include this
here because I bet a lot of people overlook the links and wanted
to give everyone a heads up :-P. It's a great book, and it's
helped me in many ways. Good recommendation :-).

"Okay if your body produces PSI and you control the product that
YOUR body creates and control the creation of the object (PSI),

My comments: Wouldn't that make moving your arm Bio-PK? It
depends on your definition of Bio-PK... A more common/scientific
term for Bio-PK is DMILS, which stands for Direct Mental
Interaction with Living Systems. Don't worry so much about
where to categorize things... Does it really matter if
controlling psi falls under the label of Bio-PK or not? It's
just a label. If you're curious about Bio-PK/DMILS, do a search
on google, or go to a library. Sometimes interesting studies are
categorized under just "Psychokinesis" that could apply to
Bio-PK, so don't be afraid to pick up a few books :-).

"Maybe instead of putting an elabourate chat in the site with
programs and everything you could just create a forum so that
people that arent frequently online can join in too. That way
people can just check in and read the stuff, post something and
check in a few days later and they could also get the opinions
of many more people."

My comments: I know that makes sense in theory... but I don't
think you understand the traffic PsiPog.net pulls. Back over a
year ago, we tried forums and were deleting 80 posts a day.
I believe people were posting between 200 and 300 a day. When
we try to do forums, they aren't the normal "check back every
once in a while" type of things - they are so active it's almost
equivalent to a chat. I do want to eventually try something that
can bring more people together, but I don't know if the "normal
forum" is a workable idea yet. I'll continue to think about it
and listen to ideas, and we'll see :-).

great...until it took up all the bandwith :) Anyways i realize
that would be a tough thing to do because of the way psipog has
grown, but mabey we could find some alternate ways of hosting it
or something."

My comments: Perhaps. I'm thinking of opening up something like
www.psipog-forums.com or something to dedicate an entire server
to the forums. (No, that URL doesn't work yet, it's just an
idea :-P). It would cost a lot of money, time, and effort... so
right now it's just in the "maybe some day"-phase.

Greg writes:
"Me and my friend have been practicing psi for over a month now
and have been practicing psi and telepathy/empathy. A couple
nights ago as we were practicing we decided to try something new:
seeing people from a distance. I went first, as I had pioneered
this before, though it was in vain. I sought out the person's
face, and my scrying was accurate. We tested this on two other
people, one of which I couldn't find, so my technique is not
completely accurate.

Here's my procedure:

1. Meditate, self-center, clear your mind, whatever exercise you
prefer.

2. Imagine the person's face, and examine how you feel about that
person and how your mind detects that person. This is the
"signature" (in my opinion).

3. Relax and search for the person.

4. After searching, a picture will most likely pop or ease into
your head. It will most likely be the right person, but I've had
a few misses, so to speak.

5. The next time you talk to the person, ask if they did what you
saw."

My comments: I agree that in Step 2, you are finding their
signature. The hard part seems to be Step 3, which you didn't
elaborate that much on... let me see if I can describe what I
think you're talking about. (Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll
post it in the next newsletter.) Close your eyes, and stay
relaxed. Keep their signature in your mind, and mentally "reach"
outwards (does that make sense? :-P). The goal is to find the
person - you can imprint this goal on your mind in a number of
ways. Personally, I just ask myself "where is joey at?". You
can try other things though, like just holding onto the feeling
of the question (and not verbalizing it), or you can try to
visualize a map with cross hairs searching for the location, or
you can try extending a part of your awareness out and feel for
the right direction to search in. After that, moving on to
Step 4 might make more sense - you'll probably get some pictures
popping into your head, or a "feel" for where the person is, or
you might "hear" a reply in your head, "joey is at the mall".
Try it out, and see if you're right :-).

j_w_b_1 asks:
"I play tp games with my sister (as i told you last time) and I'm
wondering is that just a kind of family link or is it telepathy
in general?"

My comments: I haven't really analyzed my personal differences
between family-telepathy, and random-person-telepathy. In some
ways, it's easier with a family member, and in some ways, it's
harder. For example, if I'm trying to read my sister, sometimes
my brain interrupts and says "well, your sister believes blah
blah and blah, therefore a logical conclusion is that your sister
is thinking blargh bleugh and blarck". And that can interrupt
the reception of what she really is thinking. I mean: my deeper
knowledge about her as a person can activate the "logic" in my
head to try and logically conclude what she "must" be thinking.
So with family members (for me at least), it's harder to shut off
this process, and just WAIT and LISTEN. When I try to read a
stranger, my logical brain doesn't have any information to
process yet, so it doesn't try to draw any conclusions and
interrupt.

However, when I do read them, I can read them very accurately.
Perhaps because it's a team effort between my psychic perception
of them, and my logical understanding of them as a person? I can
read a few things, and plug that information into my logical
brain, and spit out more interesting conclusions.

It's a good question - perhaps I'll stick that in the next poll
on PsiPog.net and see what others think about it (if I remember
to :-P).

=================================================================

Scott asks:
"Is it true that telekinesis is in everyone?"

My comments: Some people say yes, some people say no. Personally
I believe that anyone can do it. But it's sort of impossible to
prove either way, until we know what telekinesis actually IS.
Perhaps something in a person's genes trigger it, or enable it...
or perhaps it's just one of those things that come with being
human. Or maybe it's one of those things that come with
existing in general? I don't know. The only way to find out if
it can work for you is to try it out and see. There is no "pee
in a cup" test that we can do to see if you're capable :-P. Try
and find out!

partners to leave the room so you can "hide" a construct some
where. You let your friends in and they must use their psi only
to find it and once everyone is done looking you tell them where
it really was. It works great and is a little challenging but fun
hope you like it."

My comments: Cool idea :-D.

a sheild up to keep my thoughts from being brodcasted during
things like a poker game so people could realy tell if I was
bluffing or anything else. I think about things like that
because I read people to try to get an edge in games like poker."

My comments: Good idea - it's possible for people who don't
practice psionics to pick up on things like that, so that makes
sense :-).

"A long time ago, I was speaking with a psi-enthusiast I had met
at the Renaissance Faire. She suggested that psi powers are
'locked' and that those of us who study psi will come to a point
in our life when it will unlock. Of course, she had said, minor
feats would be attainable beforehand, but at a point in our life
(puberty, or around age eighteen) we will get a flow of power,
in which we can perform bigger tasks (if we have enough exercise
in control) or the smaller ones become a lot easier. She also
mentioned that where some people can't even do the little
experiments well, it is only that they have a tougher lock. All
in all, quite an interesting theory. I was wondering, what are
your thoughts are on this?"

My comments: Hmmm... I don't know if there is a "turning point"
in a psion's life where they notice an increase in "power". My
understanding is more of a gradual and punctual change type of
thing. By this I mean... I believe we make gradual changes
and advancements when we practice. Then every once in a while,
we can make a punctual change which is more sudden and noticable.
For example, if you practice telekinesis, you can sit around and
try to move the pinwheel all day and get no results. But you are
gradually getting better. Then one day, you get it to spin! And
bam, a punctual change. Now you gradually get better at the
pinwheel, and eventually get the balls to try to move something
harder like a pen. But you can't move the pen. So you keep
practicing, and gradually get better, until one day BAM - a
punctual change and now you can move the pen.

Maybe the person at the Renaissance Faire was thinking of one
specific punctual change... One idea that comes to mind is that
person might have been labelling the change from "psi might be
real", to "holy shit it really is REAL!". That is a big change
for a psion, and can change their outlook on psionics which could
increase their success. What do you think?

had 2 brown six sided dice (from a backgammon set) and a red 12
sided dice, the challenge was to find the red 12 sided dice. I
found that when my hand was over the cup that contained the 12
sided dice it felt different, as though some pressure was
pressing against my palm. I went with the feeling on the first
game and won, noticed the feeling and ignored it on the second
game and lost then I realised what the feeling was and followed
the feeling in my hand and won every game. It was as though I
could feel the different shape that I was looking for.

This had never happened to me before, I think the concentration

crowd or small group of people, instead of a quiet lonely place?
Becuase I've noticed that my psiwheel moves A LOT more when
people are around. But now I think its the wind or something."

My comments: You have to watch out for wind - the psi wheel is
really sensative. I believe that a group of people can help
though - I've only done TK once in front of other people because
they wanted to see if I could. I was really nervous, and I
hadn't practiced in a really long time - but it ended up moving
despite my doubts. I think their enthusiasm helped me, and maybe
they played a part too because they wanted it to move as well.

I got a tip for trancing using the how-to guide by SunTzu.

I've recently started DJing and with it, I have learned that the
beat bar (called a four to the floor bar or something like that)
has at least 4 counts. So, when you're listening to the music to
trance out, try and count 1, 2, 3, 4. Eventually (if you have
any ear for music) you'll catch where the beat starts, end and
how fast you have to count. So keep counting 1, 2, 3, 4 and you
can take out the beat bar, and take on more beats (if you want
an overload state) or keep focusing and counting 1, 2, 3, 4 on
that one beat bar.

Good luck with practice!"

My comments: Yep, those of us that play musical instruments can
pick up on that easily... For those musically challenged out
there, listen to ANY song and find a beat.

Newsletter #9, for January 4th, 2005

"Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality."
- Jules de Gaultier

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hi everyone! I hope everybody had a great Christmas and a happy
New Years :-). Hmmm... what's the plan for PsiPog.net in 2005?
I have a lot of new ideas lined up, and I have a vision for where
I'd like to see PsiPog.net in a year from now... the problem is
that it will require some work :-P.

One major change I want to do is start more projects like the
Telepathy Groups thing. We had about 300 applications, and I
feel bad that only a small group of people could participate.
Hopefully the other teachers and myself will learn a lot from
this first experiment, and we can get a system going for doing
more projects, and even allow others to start projects
eventually.

If you have specific questions or suggestions about how I plan
on changing PsiPog.net during 2005, or would like to comment on
anything relating to psi, e-mail: newsletter@...

I love hearing from other people, and sharing their ideas with
everyone in the newsletter :-).

=================================================================

fedaykin30 asks:
"I've heard you and others involved with psi talking about doing
things like grounding to get rid of extra energy or anxiety. I
can see why that would be helpful to many people but what about
people with a LACK of energy. I am curently doing highschool
sports and trying to maintain grades and a new truck. I am
always tired and have found myself taking a break from psi
because I am always too tired to practice. I have also found
myself more susceptible to things like colds recently. Would
you or any of the staff/readers know of a posible aid to this
annoyance?"

My comments: I'm trying to think if I've ever used psi to make
myself less tired... I usually stick to things like naps and
snacks to give myself energy. Eat healthy, continue exercising,
etc. I have felt adrenaline rushes from using psi, but it
isn't really a useable energy in the same sense that normal food
is.

Practicing psi requires work from the body and mind. I think
we're confused about the definition of "energy". Food and sleep
gives your body energy, but food and sleep doesn't give your body
psi. Your body uses food-and-sleep-energy to do things like
exercise, but I don't think it uses psi-energy to do things like
exercise. (It might though, no one really knows the breakdown
of it yet :-P).

But hey, let's not convince ourselves not to try anything. We
have a good question, and we're not sure of the answer. So let's
try some things out and see what happens :-). Try absorbing psi
and visualize your body sucking it up and working more
efficiently. Visualize your body going from a dark grey color to
a vibrant white color. "Feel" your muscles working better and
stronger. "Feel" your lungs and blood working together to give
you more strength in every breath. Pump yourself up :-). See if
it works, and if it doesn't - come up with another idea and try
something else.

"feeling" that it was rock then I would choose paper, thus I
would win."

My comments: Good idea :-). It's fun to take a normal game, and
add a psi twist to it. You can also use psi in other games.
I've used psi to help me in lots of games - empathy and telepathy
in poker make it a lot easier to feel how good someone's cards
are. In basketball, I can feel what direction they're going to
move in and steal the ball a lot easier. It brings up some
interesting ethical questions too - do you consider using psi in
games as cheating? If you do, why?

Reaver_of_souls writes:
"I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever noticed that if you
make a construct program to keep together and draw energy from a
predetermined source, after a while it'll start to fade away.
Think that there is a way to stop it? I had a bunch of self
sustaining constructs that were really cool and I dont wanna have
to keep re-making them."

My comments: Self sustaining constructs are tough - especially
when they aren't around you constantly so you can monitor them.
Try starting simple - make a shield around yourself and see if it
will stay up. Shields are the most common long-term constructs.
After you can get a shield to stay up for a few days around
yourself, try putting a shield in a location that you go by a
lot, but isn't directly around you. For example, stick a shield
in your doorway to your bedroom. See if you can make the shield
sustain itself for a few days and monitor it.

The idea is simple, but it does take skill to do. And skill
comes from practicing and figuring out what you need to do to
make it work.

=================================================================

Amy asks:
"Are those of us who have these gifts of Psi (mine are Empathy
and Psychic Abilities that are premonition form) more likely to
change jobs more frequently or "search out" for that one perfect
job? Do we rely on our gut feeling too much that keeps us from
staying with one field? I am curious as I have found myself in
just about every field imaginable to cure this insatiable hunger
for knowledge."

My comments: That's a cool question - I haven't done any accurate
polling of something like that, but I have read about certain
types of psychic "personallities". Does it surprise you that
people who can predict the future get bored with life? ;-). I
suggest you pick up a copy of "You Are Psychic!", by
Pete A. Sanders. ( surf to here: http://tinyurl.com/6wmqr ). In
it, Sanders talks about different personallities of psychics,
including one that heavly relies on intuition (which is what you
seem to be describing). It's pretty cheap, and a good read.

=================================================================

Ancheron has a cool idea for an exercise:
"Take a few cards from a deck, preferably of one color or suit if
you're just starting out. Now take one card that doesn't have
anything in common with those other cards, and shuffle it in with
the others. Know what you are looking for and make sure your
subconcious knows as well. Sometimes it works well if you sense
what the card feels like and hold that in your mind. Go through
each card and determine whether that card is the one you are
looking for. Try to "feel" that first sense of the card through
them, and see whether it feels right or not."

My comments: Cool exercise :-). I specifically like the idea of
first feeling what your target card "feels" like before
beginning, then after shuffling, searching for that same "feel".

Elrayu writes:
"Okay, here is an excercise that my friend Diana and I have been
doing. I think we're making a psi ball, but I'm not sure. If it
is, it's a useful excercise. Diana first showed me, what she did
was she put her hands together as if holding an invisible ball.
She imagined something there, and when I put my hand between hers
the air was colder than the air around us. When I tried it
myself, I believe she told me the air was warmer. I still have
yet to know if this is making a psi ball, but all I did was
imagine the energy there. No swirling up my chest and down my
arms, I just imagined it there."

My comments: Good job :-D. It sounds like you created a psi
ball. It's important to realize that you don't HAVE TO make a
psi ball any certain way. It's not written in stone, and it's ok
to play with the idea and try different things to see the result.

=================================================================

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hey hey! I hope everyone got a chance to submit an application
for the Telepathy Group. We had just about 300 applications
submitted, so it might be a little time before the teachers go
through them all. Jespers isn't going to teach, and I haven't
heard from eversosleepy in a while, but Roy is sorting out all
the applications and choosing his students.

If you want to read about the entire project, click on this link:
http://www.psipog.net/groups.php

Since you're reading this, the deadline for applications has
already passed. If you didn't fill one out in time - no worries.
I plan on doing more projects like this in the future, so keep
checking back on PsiPog.net to see what's available.

If you did apply - then thanks :-D. It's cool to see so many
people willing to learn, and dedicate their time towards this.
Hopefully we'll learn a lot from it.

Let's jump into the mailbag. (If you want to submit any ideas
or questions for the next newsletter, send your thoughts to:
newsletter@... - don't be shy!).

I feel, or some of us feel as psi is really just blood rushing to
our hands, which we have trained our selves to do? I myself do
not have access to those type of medical tools, but maybe someone
else can and bring back results?"

My comments: Most people don't have medical tools, but that
shouldn't stop us from doing some basic tests. For example, one
of the experiments I did when I first started out was raising the
temperature on a digital thermometer. First I put my hands
around it, then I made a psi ball with the intention of getting
an increase. It did increase.

Then I thought it might be because of my body heat. So my next
experiment was to make a psi ball from 10 feet away, then send
the psi ball to the thermometer and see if it raised. And for
me, it did raise. I suggest everyone out there try similar
experiments, or THINK OF YOUR OWN experiment. What do you have
available to you to test it out? There has to be something
you can do without buying a bunch of medical equipment to see if
what you're doing is legit. Of course, I would be interested in
what medical equipment would show, but for verification purposes,
you don't need an expensive laboratory :-P.

Tameer writes:
"Hi I practice OBE's and lately I have tried many times and read
all articles about it, but it still does not appear to work. Any
suggestions?"

My comments: Start simple. Go step by step. Are you able to get
in the state where your entire body is numb? You do this through
progressive relaxation. This state isn't TOO hard to get into,
and I'll just assume you can get to that state.

You can do a lot of cool things just from the progressive
relaxation state. Robert Monroe calls this state "Focus 10", so
that's what I'll use.

One thing I like to do in Focus 10 is to confuse my sense of
where my body is. By this I mean... I can convince myself that
my arm is in a position that I know it isn't. I can remember
where I put my arm, but I can convince my mind that my arm isn't
there. Sometimes I convince myself that my bed is flying through
the air, and taking sharp corners and flipping upside down. If
I can CONVINCE myself that that is happening, I will FEEL my body
getting pulled in different directions. Similar to convicing
myself that my arm is in a different position.

Sometimes I like to get my body to sway. This is all under the
same thing as above - if I can use that "convincing" idea, I can
get my joints to bend in directions they shouldn't, and make my
body sway and pulsate, like a flag in the wind.

My suggestion is to play around with it. It is fun, and you can
do some weird things. Get a feel for Focus 10, and don't worry
about if you're feeling the "right" thing, or if you're doing it
"wrong", or if you're going to have an OBE or not - just enjoy
the relaxed state, and mess around with it.

"I have heard of grounding and centering, and know that they are
lumped with meditation in that group of 'things to do before
practicing psi.' I know about and regularly practice meditation
(and it was discussed in a previous newsletter), but I'm not
really sure what grounding and centering are, or how they are
done."

My comments: Grounding and centering are outlined in the Active
Psy book, by Skywind. You can find more information here:
http://www.psipog.net/activepsy/book2.html#_Toc472931485
http://www.psipog.net/activepsy/book2.html#_Toc472931486

I'll talk about it here as well, just to go over what I think.
Grounding and centering are useful tools, but they aren't
necessary for practicing psi. I personally think grounding is
more useful than centering, but I've used both at times when I
felt unbalanced.

The idea behind grounding is just like grounding an electrical
current - if you know anything about that. Basically, the idea
is that we can become too "charged" a certain way... this
"charge" can make us feel uneasy, but for me it usually makes me
feel excited. So, what you do is take all that extra psi and
emotion that is making you feel odd, and get rid of it. The
usual target location is the earth. Then, if you want, you can
pull some more "balanced" and "relaxing" energy back from the
earth. Basically: Grounding = Relaxing and letting go of all the
shit that's bugging you.

Centering is a little different. I honestly don't think most
people need to learn centering until they start to feel mentally
"lost". By this I mean... when you are capable of picking up
other people's emotions and thoughts, sometimes you can get
flooded with too much external stuff, that you lose your own
identity. I've had this happen to me a few times - it's just
like you can't find your own thoughts, and you aren't sure if
what you're feeling is YOUR emotion, and what your thinking is
YOUR thoughts.

Centering is pushing out all that external stuff, and finding
what is really going on in YOUR head, and not the heads of
everyone else. It's fun to do telepathy and empthay, but you
can't forget who YOU are in the process. Centering can help you
remind you who you are :-P.

of energy and reprogramming it each day. You now have your own
pet construct. Maybe as you get more experienced it might start
to actually light up, then you can just keep making it brighter
each day."

My comments: Cool idea :-). Try it and see what happens.

"I noticed that your last letter dealt with meditation guides. I
found one thats rather helpful at www.zenguide.com "zazen guide."
It's in PDF form so you can download it."

My comments: Cool, thanks :-).

=================================================================

Sander submitted a common breathing technique. This is good for
relaxing, and can help with getting started with OBEs too:

"You inhale with you nose. You really guide the breath to the
lower parts of your lungs and let your lungs fill up with oxygen.

You exhale with your mouth. Emptying your lungs from the top to
the bottom.

The breath-rhythm is like this:

Inhale 1 2 3 4 5
Hold the breath 1 2 3
Exhale 1 2 3 4 5

Do this for a couple of minutes.

Then visualize the breath going to your feet knees etc, do your
whole body."

Hello everyone :-),

Sorry for sending out a "newsletter" when this really isn't a

looking for some dedicated students to train telepathy with. We have
three teachers looking at applications, and they'll choose their
students.

The application deadline is December 20th, so I wanted to send this
out because the next newsletter is scheduled for December 21st, and
that's too late.

Dear PsiPog Users,

First things first: PsiPog.net has been updated! The new design
is up and running, and seems to be doing pretty good. I don't
have the Search feature done yet, but hopefully I'll get that
online soon. I've also added those articles I talked about:

Annie's Healing Manual:
http://www.psipog.net/show.php?id=10163

My Telepathy Lecture/Practice:
http://www.psipog.net/show.php?id=10162

I have a few more articles floating around that I need to go
over, and a few that I want to write myself... but that might not
happen for a little while.

and anything else you think is cool to: newsletter@...

Matthew asks:
"How do you use psi to health yourself of any ordinary sickness?
Eg. cold, flu, fever etc."

My comments: Since I'm not the brightest guy to ask about
healing, I pasted the question to annie, and this is what she
replied with:

- - - - -

This is a great question as we in the northern hemisphere enter
into the "wheasy sneezy season". I, however, have some bad news
for all of you. There is no cure for the common cold. I'll give
you a moment to digest that bad news.

Cure or not, there are things we can all do using psionics and
other homeopathic methods to alleviate some of the more annoying
and painful symptoms of the common cold and flu. As always, psi
is awesome for healing, but doctors are better. If you have any
preexisting conditions, or your symptoms don't go away in a
reasonable time frame, SEE YOUR DOCTOR.

Reducing your fever should be your first step if you have one.
While a fever is the body's natural reaction for healing
infection or virus, it also causes most of the uncomfortable side
effects of said. This is simple Bio-PK. Relax. Breathe. Get
into a state of comfort and rest. Slow down your heart. Follow
your breath. Sense and feel your blood - how it moves, it's
warmth, what the current task is. Focus on the affected areas of
the virus or infection. Say to yourself, inside your head our
aloud, "It is time to cool down. It is time for each of my
organs and for my blood to relax, to cool off, to be at its most
optimum for the most beneficial healing of my body." Visualize
if you want. Make something up that works for you. Cool breeze,
a shot of ice water through the veins, whatever. See my other
healing articles for tips on healing headaches, stiff backs and
necks, and other cold/flu symptoms. Keep up the vitamins and
fluids. Your multivitamin should include high doses of A, C, and
E. If you have an iron supplement around the house, that will
help too. And as always, water water water!

My comments: Ya, that video is sweet :-). Very cool.

=================================================================

One more quick question, then we'll call it a newsletter.
Yellowjacket asks:

"Can you form a psi-ball into a sword?"

My comments: Sure... but then it wouldn't be a psi-ball. It
would be a psi-sword :-P. Try it and see how well you can make
a psi-sword, and see how well you can keep it together. You can
do it by changing your visualization, or just by slightly
altering your normal psi-ball making procedure that you're used
to using.

=================================================================

Alrighty then... Rememeber: e-mail me some cool things to put in
the next newsletter! It makes it a lot easier on me so I don't

everyone who contributed this week - I'll see you on the 21st!

My comments: Well, you ARE making up the answers.

Remember that the subconscious is just another part of YOU. That
part of you is delivering messages to your conscious mind every
second. Even RIGHT NOW. I would suggest clearning your mind of
as much thought as possible. Get all that junk out and just stay
quiet for a few minutes. You need to be good at getting your
mind to shut up. After you can do that pretty good, pose
yourself a question, and WAIT for the answer. Don't create an
answer. If you receive nothing, then that's ok - just keep
waiting. Don't think to yourself "Hmmm... I bet I'll receive
something like Blah, or that I won't receive anything at all."
Keep your mind quiet, and sit there and wait.

Speaking of shutting your mind up, I received a message about
meditation. The next message will tie in with what I'm saying
here, so keep reading! :-P

on PsiPog mention meditating before doing stuff... But there is
not a very clear How-to or steps mentioned for meditating. So I
thought I would mention it and maybe you will write something
about it.

And I will also mention my favourite meditations.

First of all the world famous HamSa meditation...
In any relaxed posture in a quiet place focus on the sound of
breathing. It sounds like Ham or Hum when going in and Sa when
coming out......... Thats it.

There is another one I do specifically for Telepathy... I don't
know if it really counts as a meditation. I stare at a candle
flame in a dark place for some time, and breath slowy throught
nose, and eventually, my mind just gets blank.... Maybe its for
focus, maybe not, but it works for me ;-)"

- - - - -

My comments: Good stuff :-). There are a lot of meditation
techniques, but the idea is pretty simple. All you want to do is
just slow your head down for a second, and relax.

Breathe deep, close your eyes, and get in a comfortable spot.
Just relax. It's so simple, it's confusing :-P.

One meditation technique that I use is called progressive
relaxation. What you do is lay down, close your eyes, and start
breathing in deep and slowly. After you're comfortable, just go
to each body part, and tell it to relax and sleep. It takes a
while to get through the entire body... But don't rush it. The
point is to just relax, so take your time.

For example, I first start with my feet. I tell my feet, "Hey
guys, you did a great job today, but now it's time to just relax
and fall asleep." I relax all my muscles in my feet, and just
let it go. Then I move to my calves. Then my thighs. My hips,
abdomen, chest, arms, neck, shoulders, back, and face. If you're
interested, you should be able to find some more indepth tips
online or at your library.

The Doctor writes about Psychokinesis:

is this. Picture the object as your thumb. Do exactly want you do
when you want to move your thumb. Just try to add some wieght
that is equal to the battery. Now move your "thumb" slowly!
Remember, the battery is your thumb.

Practice guys.
DOCTOR's approval!:p"

of your body is a good way to develop that "oneness" connection
with it.

Newsletter #5, for November 9th, 2004

"Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your
own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."
- Carl Gustav Jung

Dear PsiPog Users,

Howdy howdy howdy :-). Here we are with the 5th installment of
our bi-monthly newsletter. Welcome to all the new people who
joined. I hope these are at least a LITTLE useful :-P.

Just a reminder - send all your comments, questions, ideas, etc
to: newsletter@... . I have a hard time coming up with
topics all the time, so it's cool to read what others have to
say.

Let's check the new mail. Zero Ena writes:

"Could you put something in there about how to do macro PK?
Cause I wanna try that to show off to the people at my school
that dont believe in psychics."

Alright - sounds like a good topic :-).

=================================================================

Macro-PK is moving stuff around with your mind. It's a really
cool skill to see in action. It's even cooler when YOU are the
one doing it :-P.

I do have some bad news though. Macro-PK requires practice. In
most cases, it requires a LOT of practice. Which translates to
a LOT of dedication, and motivation.

Try to designate a certain time every day to practice. When I
trained PK, I had an hour break between classes. I would find a
quiet place in the library, and practice until it was time for my
next class. If you just practice at random times every day,
chances are you will lose your motivation after a while. If you
have a SPECIFIC time, and you have nothing else to do during that
time, you can focus much better, and stay motivated.

The most common exercise for Macro-PK is the psiwheel. But the
psiwheel is boring, so let's try to think of something else.
There really is no rule here - just think of something light with
very little friction, that you can move. For example, you can
try:

1. Toothpick floating in water
2. Ball of lint
3. Hair
4. Styrofoam
5. String hanging from something
6. Pen balanced on the edge of a table
7. Coin on its side

You don't have to practice one specific thing, just use your head
for two seconds and look around to see what's available.

Ok, so you've got the object you want to move, and you have some
free time to try it out. HOW do you actually go about moving it?

=================================================================

There isn't one way to do PK written in stone or anything. It's
all very open ended. The people on PsiPog who write exercises
for PK are just like everyone else. They tried a bunch of stuff
and found a few things that worked better than others.

Get in your quiet area, make sure you won't be distracted. Start
to relax a little. Breathe a little slower than normal, but keep
it even, and comfortable. Slow down your brain, and just try to
chill out.

This is gonna sound a little weird... but try to develop a
relationship with the object you're trying to move. Don't go
psycho or anything, but mentally "reach out" and try to under-
stand the object. Maybe take the object in your hands and
inspect every little section. You're trying to connect with the
object. Set the object down, and try to picture in your head
that you're zooming up really close to the object. Closer than
you can get just from looking at it. If you notice a very small
crack, try to picture yourself zooming into the small crack so
much, that it seems like a huge valley.

You want to understand the object. You want to feel like the
object is a part of you. For example, if you're trying to move a
toothpick... don't think of it as "just another toothpick". This
is YOUR toothpick. What imperfections does it have?

It's hard to describe, but just keep "reaching out" with your
mind. After a while, you will feel a stronger connection to the
object. It WILL feel like another part of you. At that point,
it'll probably feel like you could move it if you wanted to. So,
move it. Don't throw yourself into a burning rage. Stay
relaxed, keep feeling one with the object, and try to will it to
move.

"It's what you learn after you know it all that counts."
- Earl Weaver

Dear PsiPog Users,

How's it going?

PsiPog is having a huge ass Lecture/Practice on Saturday,
November 6th, at 7:00pm EST. I wanted to try something new, so
the basic idea is that we talk about telepathy for a while, out-
line some methods, then have everyone practice and share their
results and experiences. For more information, check out:
http://www.psipog.net/calendar.php?view=1&day=1099785600

I've received a new article from SunTzu, and that should be

online this week some time. Myself, annie, and Brandon are also
planning on more articles, but nothing in the final phases yet.

Let's jump into some exercises.

=================================================================

Hmmmmm what to talk about... How about micro-PK?

What is micro-PK? PK stands for psychokinesis, and the micro
part means that it's small. So... small psychokinesis. What it
basically means is that you affect things on a much more smaller
level, and affect the outcome of "random" things in your favor.

So, macro-PK you slide objects across the table, micro-PK you
make a coin land on heads 10 times in a row.

The only way to know if you're successful with micro-PK is to
know some math. So, first I'll discuss how I perform micro-PK,
and then I'll discuss some math behind it.

=================================================================

A very long time ago, when I was first starting out, I decided to
mess around with micro-PK before trying something bigger to build
up some confidence. I was a little unsure whether all this
psychic mumbo jumbo was real or not, so I wanted some measurable
results that were somewhat easy to accomplish. What I would do
was take a deck of average cards, and shuffle the deck over and
over again. I did all sorts of different shuffles, and my goal
was to get the Ace of Spades on the top by the end of it.

I can still remember turning over the top card after shuffling
for five minutes straight, and seeing that Ace of Spades... and
freaking out :-P.

For me, the best state of mind was just... not thinking of any-
thing. Before I would start, I would think to myself "I want the
Ace of Spades to be on top when I finish shuffling. There has to
be a card on top, and it is possible for the Ace of Spades to be
on top, so that's what I want to happen."

It's weird... it's almost like I had to convince myself that it
was indeed possible. I had to figure out a way for my head to
understand that it's "ok" to have the Ace of Spades on the top.
That it was an acceptable outcome. Now of course, the math side
of my brain would say "sure, it's possible, but it's not very
likely", but if you think about it... it's not likely that ANY
card will be on top. It's the same odds for the Three of
Diamonds as it is the Ace of Spades, or the Jack of Hearts. So
why not?

After convincing myself it was ok to have the ace on top, I began
shuffling. While shuffling, I just completely zoned out. I
didn't think about the ace, or any other card for that matter. I
didn't think about the outcome, or the odds, or what was
"suppose" to happen, or anything like that. I just thought of
nothing, and kind of zoned out while shuffling. When the time
felt right, and I sort of snapped out of my state of mind, I
flipped the card on top over and looked to see if it was my
target card.

=================================================================

Now, though your goal might to be to get the card on top, some
times it just isn't going to work. It's good to keep track of
how well you did, and compare different techniques to see which
ones produced the best results for you. The best way to chart
your progress, and see how well you are with micro-PK, is to do
the math behind it.

First we'll start with the common sense, then we'll look at the
math behind it. There are 52 cards in the deck... so what are
the chances that your card will be in the top half? Well... if
it's just random, then you have a 50% chance of your card being
in the top half, and a 50% chance of your card being in the
bottom half. Pretty simple.

Our common sense tells us 50%, but where does that number
actually come from?

If you have 52 cards in the deck, then you can divide the deck
into two halves... the bottom 26 cards, and the top 26 cards.
What are the odds of you card being in the top 26 cards? Well,
yes, it's 50%, but really it's 26 out of 52. That translates
to a fraction:

   26
------ = 0.50 = 50%
   52

So, using that same idea... what are the odds your card will be
in the very top position? It's the same idea, except instead of
being in the top 26 cards, you're wondering what the odds are for
the top 1 card:

    1
------ = 0.0192 = 1.92%
   52

Cool, huh?

So if you succeed in getting your target card on top, there is a
1.92% chance of that happening.

Now for the fun part.

What are the odds of you getting your card in the top half TWO
times in a row? That means you try the exercise twice, and both
times it ends up in the top half. To figure that out, we use
multiplication:

   26 26
------ X ------ = 0.50 x 0.50 = 0.25 = 25%
   52 52

I know, I know... math is boring and it sucks. But goddammit,
we're scientists! We gotta figure it out and do it right to see
if we're actually legit or not.

One more example, then we'll call it quits. Let's say you get
the ace in the 3rd position your first try, and the 8th position
your second try. Now that's pretty amazing, but what are the
odds?

    3 8
------ X ------ = 0.0577 x 0.1538 = 0.0089 = 0.89%
   52 52

There we go! 0.89% is awesome. If you can get something below
5% then you're doing great.

=================================================================

Ok, I'm sorry that I had to teach some math... it sucks I know.
Try to pay attention in class, ok? :-P

But we learned a cool thing. Now when some douchebag tries to
throw shit in your face about how fake you are, you can sound
smart and step him through the math, and mathematically prove to
him you're doing something legit.

Keep checking back at PsiPog; Sun's article should be up soon,
and others are coming as well. And don't forget about the huge
telepathy lecture/practice!

Newsletter #3, for October 12th, 2004

"Those who seek the easy way do not seek the true way."
- Dogen

Dear PsiPog Users,

Howdy howdy :-). Here we are with another installment of our
super happy fun fantastic newsletter. Welcome all people new to
the newsletter - if you want to read previous ones, go here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psipog_newsletter/messages

Not as much feedback as last time - don't be afraid to send in
your questions/comments/ideas/complaints - whatever! Send your
thoughts to newsletter@.... GFW is back with a helpful
comment to add with what I said about affirmations in the last
newsletter:

=================================================================

"In phrasing your affirmations, don't say 'I will lose weight.'
Since the subconscious mind takes things literally with support
of the conscious mind, it only stands to reason that using the
word 'lose' implies 'something which must be found'! Unless you
want to have your mixed goal of losing weight (only to be found
again), a better idea is to say, 'I will a reduction in weight!'
or 'I am slimming and toning my body.'

The subconscious mind is often like a small child. You must
tell it exactly what you are manifesting currently."

My comments: Wording your affirmations are very tricky. This is
where "be careful what you wish for" comes into play :-P. As
GFW has pointed, your subconscious can interpret things the wrong
way if you're not careful. Think out your affirmations very
carefully, and make them clear so it's hard to interpret them any
other way.

=================================================================

Jolly Good also commented on the affirmation exercise from the
last newsletter. He took it in a different direction, and listed
ways to subliminally affect the subconscious mind in a positive
way. I'm personally a little cautious about subliminal messages.
It is interesting though, so if you're interested in affirmations
you might enjoy reading about subliminal messages. Google and
your library are good places to start :-). One last reminder
before we move on to the next topic: You have to be careful about
this stuff. Subconscious (re)programming can cause trouble if
you go willy nilly and don't think about what you're doing. Take
the time BEFORE you start, instead of taking ten times as long to
fix a mistake you made because you were impatient.

=================================================================

Next topic: Lucid Dreaming! (Thanks BlueTsunami for the idea).

Ok, first, what is lucid dreaming? Lucid dreaming is when you're
dreaming, and you realize you are dreaming... while inside of the
dream. So, you're running around, shooting zombies and saving
some hot chick, and bam it hits you: what the hell am I doing?
This doesn't make sense. This is a dream!

Lucid dreams are great. For some odd reason they're considered
a sleep disorder, but I disagree. If you have lucid dreams 100%
of the time, I think that's a disorder. But most people have
trouble getting ONE lucid dream, let alone 100%. I find that a
lucid dream every once in a while is relaxing - you can use them
to release stress. Think about it - one third of your life is
spent asleep - don't you think it's worth an investigation?

Before you have a lucid dream, you must remember your dreams.
You don't have to remember all of them, but what good is a lucid
dream if you won't remember it? Get in the habit of remembering
your dreams after you wake up, and try to pick up as many details
as you can. Personally, I shower right when I wake up. While
showering, I go over as much as I can remember about my dream. I
do this every day.

Once you can remember most of your dreams, then you can start to
try to induce a lucid dream. The most common, and easiest
technique, is to keep asking yourself "Am I dreaming?". All day
long, just keep asking yourself. If you make this a normal habit
eventually it will happen while you're in a dream, and you'll
become lucid :-).

Another technique which works for me is to notice themes in your
dreams, and try to remember when one of those themes occur, that
you are dreaming. For example, in a lot of my dreams I am under
water, but I breathe normally. After I noticed that pattern, I
remembered that any time I find myself breathing under water,
that I am dreaming. Another theme in my dreams is flying - if
I realize I'm flying, then I instantly realize that it isn't
normal, and that I'm dreaming.

Lucid dreams are great; one website I visit about lucid dreams
is www.dreamviews.com .

=================================================================

Alrighty! Another bi-month, another newsletter :-P. There's a
rumor going around that SunTzu is writing another article, and
both annie and myself are writing as well. I'm also thinking
about doing a seminar/lecture sometime soon. And of course, I
have to get back into training :-). I'm thinking the next
lecture will be more interactive, and more like a huge ass
practice. Just tossing ideas around though. Keep an eye on the
calendar ( http://www.psipog.net/calendar.php ).

Thanks for reading! See you in two weeks :-).

(A side note: these newsletters go out every other tuesday, so
they are bi-MONTHLY... I think in previous newsletters I called
them bi-WEEKLY... whoops. See you in two weeks :-P).

Newsletter #2, for September 28th, 2004

"Wise men know that their business is to examine what is, and not
to settle what is now."
- Charles Kingsley

Dear PsiPog Users,

Our second newsletter! Yay! Welcome to all the new people who
have joined since our last newsletter. Just a reminder - you can
read any past newsletter at any time by visiting:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psipog_newsletter/messages

You don't even have to sign up for the newsletter to read the old
messages.

So what's in store today? First, let's talk about the little
updates on PsiPog.net. SunTzu's article was posted, and is
located at: http://psipog.net/show_10158.html

Also, I've released an upgrade to the chat client from v3.4 to
v3.5. Not a whole lot of improvements, but a few things that
might help people who were having trouble in the past. So, if
you couldn't connect before, try downloading the new chat client
and give it another shot. It might work now.

We got a little feedback from the first newsletter. Here's an
e-mail I received from FrozenFlames:

=================================================================

"Hey, Frozen speaking. Well I've speculated that psi sigs are all
different because everyone's energy pattern is slightly
different. Thus, a programmed construct also has a unique energy
pattern (I've noticed this mostly with shields at first, when I
just reached out with my mind and felt 'em). Thus, every
different program has a certain energy signiture. I've discovered
that I can take a shield that I've made and feel out its sig
(making sure its perfectly remembered), and then when I want that
shield, I just push the energy out and recreate that feeling."

My comments: Sigs are definitly tied to constructs. A psion can
use this information to backtrack foreign constructs. Another
trick you can do is to implant a different sig inside of your
constructs. This is good for shields, and a good way to cloak
yourself from constructs designed to find your sig. For every
trick, there is a counter-trick, and a counter-counter-trick ;-).
"Pushing" out a certain feeling to anchor a shield is pretty
common. I can't remember the last time I actually visualized a
bubble shield step by step :-P. Usually I just will one up when
I need one, and feel it immediately.

=================================================================

GFW has e-mailed me a tip:

"You were talking about biofeedback, in the [previous]
newsletter. There isn't a store within miles of this New Mexico
town (also known by some locally as a Village, for Pete's sake!)
that has a blood pressure tester! But, very simply, if you have
someone use two fingers to feel his/her pulse, on the artery, in
the neck, tracking how the blood pulses there is just as good an
indicator, and you don't have to leave home!"

My comments: Very true. The best way to do it by hand would be
to get a watch and count how many beats you get in 20 seconds,
and multiplying by 3 to get your Beats Per Minute. We used to do
that in 8th grade science class :-). Another tip - don't use
your thumb if you decide to try it out. Use the tips of your
fingers.

=================================================================

Let's talk about a new topic before wrapping this up. I have a
really cool secret that I don't talk a lot about on PsiPog.net.
It sounds kind of silly and pointless in theory, but if you
actually try it, it's very effective.

My secret is "affirmations". So what's an affirmation? And how
do you use it to do something kick ass? Affirmations are another
way to program your subconscious to do something. It just so
happens that it's a VERY effective technique. All you do is
repeat a few sentences to yourself, and eventually it will "sink
in". The best time to say affirmations to yourself is while in
a slightly meditative state - like before you go to bed, or right
after you wake up.

You have to be careful what you tell yourself. If you say some-
thing with the wrong wording, or with confusing language, your
subconscious might get the wrong message. It's best to make
affirmations very straight forward, simple, and positive.

For example, when I want to leave my body, I get in a meditative
state then tell myself (in my head, not out loud):
"I will have an out of body experience. I will be conscious of
my out of body experience, and I will remember the entire thing."

It's very assertive, and clear. I repeat those two sentences in
my head over and over again, until I completely zone out. And
guess what? No, it doesn't work 100% of the time, but I do get
better results. Notice how I say "I will remember", and I do
NOT say "I will not forget". "Not" is a negative. You have to
be careful of things like that. Stay as positive as possible.
Give your subconscious INSTRUCTIONS. Do not give it a list of
things to avoid. Also, don't say "I want", say "I will". You
can sit around all day and want something, and it can never
happen. So do you want it? Or do you will it?

If you're interested in affirmations, try looking up things on
self-hypnosis and other trance information on the internet and
library. It's a very popular method, and there is a lot of
information on it.

=================================================================

Thanks to FrozenFlames and GFW for sending me some stuff, and
thanks to everyone else who sent me stuff even though I didn't
include it. I'm convinced that if everyone sends in their ideas,
questions, and comments, that we can make this newsletter kick
some serious ass.

"In the cultivation of the mind, our emphasis should be not on
concentration, but on attention. Concentration is a process of
forcing the mind to narrow down to a point, whereas attention is
without frontiers."
- J. Krishnamurti

Dear PsiPog Users,

Hey! Welcome to the first bi-weekly newsletter for PsiPog.net.
The plan is to send them out every other Tuesday. Why Tuesday?
I don't know. But that's the plan :-D.

So what's going to be in the newsletters? Pretty much anything.
My main goal is to give you guys some cool ideas and exercises to
try, and to keep you updated with what's going on at PsiPog.net.
I'd like to have other cool sections for the newsletter, perhaps
if someone has a really good question about Psionics, or they
made a cool exercise, or website.

I'm open to suggestions :-).

So let's start off with something really cool for the first
newsletter. Hmmm...

I'm getting kind of sick of writing about newbie stuff, so let's
talk about something a little more advanced and fun. How about
shields? Here is a cool idea for a shield that I've used in the
past to get rid of annoying things floating around me:

=================================================================

Create a shield with multiple layers, and spikes sticking out of
the outer layer. Make sure the shield is solid, and then for the
tricky part: start rotating each layer in a different direction.
For example, make the inner layer rotate around you from left to
right, the middle layer from right to left, and the outter layer
from left to right. Now partition the shield into sections, so
that your upper body is rotating in one direction, and your lower
body is rotating in the opposite direction. Get it spinning nice
and fast, and keep it up for a little bit.

The main goal is to rip clean any links that someone has made
with you telepathically. Sometimes people are a little rude and
decide they want to link with you even though you don't want them
to - this shield can help rip those links out, and keep them out.

And of course: just sitting there visualizing it doesn't mean it
will work right away. You need to actually MOVE the psi around,
and program it to act accordingly. How do you accomplish
that? The dreaded P word: Practice!

Practice practice practice. Start simple. This shield has been
useful to me in the past, but it takes a little bit of skill.

=================================================================

Hmmmm, how about an easier exercise for you new guys out there?
Let's define a really cool term that everyone should know about.

Biofeedback - The technique of using monitoring devices to
furnish information regarding an autonomic bodily function, such
as heart rate or blood pressure, in an attempt to gain some
voluntary control over that function.
(dictionary.com)

So what's that mean? Technically, it means you get some equip-
ment to measure a body function (like heart beat), and you use
the equipment to help you get control over your bodily function.

But how does that relate to psionics? Well, using biofeedback,
you can learn to control some subconscious function of your body.
Now let's think for a second - if manipulating psi is a
subconscious bodily function, then we can use biofeedback to get
some control over psi. So how do we do that?

Visualization!

Now for a cool exercise. Go to your local grocery store, and if
they're anything like they are here, you have one of those arm
things that grab your arm, and measure your blood pressure. It's
like you stick you arm through this tube thing, and the tube
fills up with air, and slowly let's the air out to measure your
blood pressure and heart rate.

So stick your arm in there, and close your eyes. Hit the start
button, and visualize yourself running around playing soccer or
jumping off of a building and falling really far. Or running
a race against someone, or fighting some bad guy. See if you
can get your heart rate to go high just based on the
visualization. After you get some readings, try a different
approach. Visualize yourself laying down in the summer, with a
nice breeze going over you. Visualize the nice weather, and soft
grass. Pretend to breathe in the fresh air. See if you can get
your pulse to go lower.
