WORKING PUMP MODEL   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #58 of 73 |
I posted a few pictures of the model pump in my album just now. This
pump is simple and easy to make. I used leftover materials from other
projects. This is my test pump that uses water from an outside faucet
and a garden hose. I will post gallons per minute of in-coming water,
pumped gallons per minute as-is and with variables such as gallons per
minute pumped to various heights and my other findings. All based on
actual testing with this model. I found that teflon tape is important
for good pumping and should be used on all the threads. I placed the
pump inlets and outlets and the pumped outlet all at strategic
locations but plan on testing with these varied. This model is easy to
make as a demonstration, since it uses common PVC, to show the
simplicity and reliability of this type of pump.
