is the link. It has some nice pics of different flow patterns. Clear
vertical pipes are shown.
Some of my pulser pumps were connected to pipes going upwards at a low
angle, 5% to 25% grade and in those pipes the flow pattern was slug
with quite a while between slugs if the pipe went a long distance
upwards. I very much doubt that this flow pattern has ever been studied.
