It just so happens, i go a new computer a few days ago. and i have been
delving into c++ for a while now, and i'm going to download DJGGP soon.
but, one little thing, you can do as much asemmbly in quickbasic and
qbasic as you want, i know how, and so do most other skilled qb
programmers. (i'm not saying i am, i have learned from the skilled ones.)

No offense, d00d, but to write games, you're going to have to get past
QuickBasic.. Any program that expands beyond 300k, QuickBasic won't be able
to compile, due to memory problems. Plus the fact that QuickBasic has a
very unoptimized compiler, which will leave alot for graphic support. My
only suggestion would be to either learn C++, or Pascal. Both can handle
programs of infinite sizes, and they run quick. They also allow you to use
ASM code inside of your program, so you'll be able to take full advantage of
your processor. There are a crapload of extra capabilities. Another
thought would be to jump on into Windows programming now, before it's too
late. In the next version of Windows (Probably Win2000 or something), there
will be no support of MS-DOS programs at all, which will leave all us
oldtimers SOL. . .
Good Luck with your business ventures!

Win95 does have qbasic on it. It's usualy in the programs section of
start.
If not, there are over 300,000 sites where you can download qbasic. Just
do a web search.
There are still some sites where you can download QuickBasic, but that's
illegal. But downloading it isn't, so i would try to do a search for
QuickBasic also...

Hi all,
I'm new to this list... was just wondering if Win95 generaly has QBasic on
it? Or BASIC for that matter. I tried to do a search on the drive for it
but can't find it... or maybe someone could tell where I can download it from?
Thanks for any help in advance,

Jeez guys... I used to know how to do that stuff in pascal... That's where I
am dominant... I used to do alot of QB, but with the transition to Windows,
I'm switching strictly to Pascal and Delphi... Lemme do some thinking on
this stuff, and I'll show ya :) heh.. Uhh.. Anyone got QB45 they can send
me? I don't have it anymore. . . :)

I went to their site, but their company is named @ home, not @t home. Also,
the logo is vastly different from mine. Personally, I think the'd have no

Hi! I just subscribed to this list, so I figured I ought to tell you
about myself. Also, below this is a QBasic question I have. I am 12
years old, very computer smart, and like music and musicals. As you can
see in my signature, I already have an internet business that offers web
design. Go visit it; it's pretty good.
And now my QBasic problem: I have just started learning QBasic by
taking a tutorial at qbasic.com. At the end of each tutorial, the author
puts down 1 or 2 things to do to test yourself and make sure you'e
learned the lesson. One of the exersizes is to make an array of all the
monthes and days of the year and then to make it display them in a
colorful manner. I got the array on the monthes, but all the days of the
year? That'll take forever! Is there a shortcut to doing this? Also, I'm
stuck on how to display it. Please help me! Any help would be GREATLY
appreciated.

Hi!
Please tell me about the list.
I've received only the "welcome" message.
I'm looking for a QBasic compiler.
How can I obtain it.
