Thanks for the replies, I have tried all these links and more,
nowhere do I find something that will work with Win 98SE.....is
anyone interested in uploading a QX3 Twain compliant driver or other
software to the group? It might be useful for others in the future.

Using the model number from the bottom of the unit, Driversguide.com
promises a driver, (comments that it is "hard to find") and after
jumping through many many hoops and registering to take surveys
for "Harris Polls", the link takes you off to an "external site",
where the driver cannot be found. After clicking on dozens of links
during the evenings' searching, the computer I was using (not this
one) now has a nasty dialler virus.....so I am reluctant to follow
that trail anymore.
As you can understand, any help would be appreciated!

Try looking in the links section of this QX3 Yahoo! Group. There are three listings for software for the QX3...Maybe one will help....
