Hello again Rui,
I thank you for your suggestions, I have already found and joined
the GeigerCounterEnthusiasts, but I did not know about the
CDV700club, I will be going there soon to join.
My auctions for Uranpyrochlore finished, but I see that you did not
win, I have several small thumbnail sized piece of this mineral
still available if you are interested, please email me if you are
interested. I am waiting on 2 of those Yugoslav military detectors
to arrive, hoping that at least one of them is a functional unit. I
only have a small hand held geiger counter with a speaker and
warning light left to keep me going.
I had a look at your Geiger collection and it is most impressive.
My first unit is still kicking around here somewhere, I should dig
it out and fix it, it wouldn't take much, I built it myself back in
the 1980's, I retro fitted it a few years later with a digital red
LED display and event counter circuit.
Cheers for now, Kevin.
