Yes, it seems like a once time hit. I thought to, that by editing, I'd
re-ping the site. I guess this is to stop, duplicate trackbacks in the
remote site.

I thought too, that editing the message would edit my text in the trackback
on the remote site. It doesn't, so make sure everything is spelled correctly
etc, when you first ping/post. But this allows you to send your first post
to the remote site, as the 'hook of the message that you later edit on your
site. Horse before cart perhaps, but...

I mentioned this earlier. So you post a message along with ping URLs, but
when you edit in the browser, those ping URLs are not shown, I guess their
job is done (as 1.) But it does seem like an error.
