Description

"As well as being a support forum for R&R desulfator
and DIY battery products, this forum has been set-up
to support and develop battery desulfator technology
and discuss other battery related topics, freely and
openly.

The Yahoo randrdesulfatorforum is an offshoot and
extension of another well known desulfator bulletin
board, one that limits its focus to just one type of
desulfator circuit. It is hoped that there will be
only a minimum amount of moderation needed here.

The board exists to further develop both the original
Alistair Couper desulfator and derivatives, for
example, PIC based versions. It is also hoped that
many new ideas will emerge, ones that may or may not
have anything to do with the original Couper design at
all.

We would ask that contributors apply all the normal
rules of etiquette and respect when making
submissions."

Re: Roth 10kHz Single Coil Desulfator – Working!
Yes, it seems your device is producing results. Very good! In order for the sulfation to be fully restored allow the battery voltage to increase to the 14.4

Roth 10kHz Single Coil Desulfator – Working!
I've built and have running a breadboard version of the 10kHz single coil desulfator design by Bill Roth. Initial testing with a 12V 12AHr VRLA battery looked

Re: Single Inductor 10-20 Khz Couper Desulfator
Yes, those are good suggestions. Also investigate the degree of radio frequency interference generated in both cases. There are several very good tutorials

Re: Single Inductor 10-20 Khz Couper Desulfator
... Maybe I exaggerate, since the charged capacitor means that the discharging inductor is helped by the loaded capacitor.

Re: Single Inductor 10-20 Khz Couper Desulfator
... And this just happens to be the unit with the higher inductance (all rather confusing); so I am not at all surprised that L2 and C4 (Couper notation) don't
