What someone else sees on a different battery is
not necessarily what you would see on your battery.

You seem to cling to the idea that reduction in pulse amplitude
indicates recovery. Have you done before/after battery tests
to confirm that? You just finished discovering that ambient
temperature change affects pulse amplitude - have you figured
out how to keep that variable out of the experiments?
