Description

The World Working Group on Birds of Prey and Owls (WWGBP) has been active for several decades and plays an important role in the promotion of raptor conservation and research on an international level. Its membership comprises several thousand raptor specialists and enthusiasts in all parts of the world, and anybody with an interest in raptors is welcome to become a member by subscribing to one of the list servers free of charge.

RAPTOR CONSERVATION is the official e-mail discussion group (electronic mailing list) of WWGBP. All those seriously interested in the study and conservation of diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey (Falconiformes and Strigiformes) worldwide are encouraged to subscribe free of charge.

To join this group please send an email to raptor-conservation-subscribe@yahoogroups.com, with a copy to WWGBP@aol.com, informing us of your background and interests. By using this group, you can send information simultaneously to the entire group (in ENGLISH, FRENCH, GERMAN or SPANISH please). Members can choose whether to receive individual messages, a daily digest, or simply read group posts on the web site (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Raptor-Conservation/). This group facilitates a continual archive of previous messages.

The list server "Raptor-Conservation" is unmoderated. This means that any member can send an email to the address Raptor-Conservation@yahoogroups.com, which is then immediately and automatically distributed to the more than 1300 members of the group worldwide.

Any member who believes that a mail should not have been posted to the group is kindly requested to copy it to WWGBP@aol.com. WWGBP will then review the mail. This review may lead to the member being asked to refrain from posting such mails in the future, or even to him or her being banned from the group.
