raptorindonesia@yahoogroups.com adalah fasilitas diskusi berbasis email dengan fokus diskusi mengenai penelitian dan konservasi burung pemangsa/raptors di Indonesia dan merupakan fasilitas anggota jaringan penelitian dan konservasi raptor Indonesia (RAIN) untuk bertukar informasi.

RAIN memiliki Visi, yaitu ”Terciptanya hutan Indonesia yang lestari” yang diupayakan melalui Misi-nya, yaitu ”Melestarikan burung pemangsa (Raptor) dan habitatnya”. Lebih spesifik kegiatan para anggota RAIN adalah dalam aspek:
1. Pengumpulan data dan informasi raptor dan habitatnya
2. Pengelolaan data dan Informasi
3. Peningkatan Kapasitas
4. Pengembangan Jaringan.

This raptorindonesia@yahoogroups.com is an email-based discussion group focusing on the research and conservation of raptor, FALCONIFORMES (i.e. Pandionidae, Accipitridae, and Falconidae) and STRIGIFORMES (i.e. Tytonidae) in Indonesia. This is also part of the facility provided for RAIN (a national network for research and conservation of raptors) in the country to exchange data and information among its members.

RAIN has the Vission: "A well and sustainably preserved and protected forests in Indonesia" and it is then defined in a mission which is "to conserve raptors and its natural habitats". This mission is further broken down into the following activities/ programs:
1. to collect data and information of raptor and its natural habitat,
2. to manage data and information gathered by its members,
3. to build capacity of members in raptor research and conservation, and
4. to establish/extent a supporting network for reserach and conservation of raptor and its habitat in Indonesia
