Friends,
RIAA is blindly suing thousands of people, from 12 year old girls to
grandparents across the country. They continue to bully their own
fans. Even their own artists don't support these actions (see
below).
The truth is out there
(http://www.diariaa.com/shame-lies.htm).
There's plenty of evidence that P2P file sharing is NOT responsible for
the music industry's sales decline. File sharing is no different
from copying a song off the air or making a tape at a friend's
house. File sharers actually more buy CDs than those who don't
share.
RIAA's greed knows no bounds
(http://www.diariaa.com/shame-fame.htm).
When the country should be focusing on finding terrorists and improving
the economy, we have these clowns bothering Congress and the Department
of Justice. They lie, cheat, and have amazing contempt for their
best customers
(http://www.diariaa.com/shame-customer.htm).
Even if you think file sharing is illegal, it's clear they've gone over
the edge. Kids sharing music have fewer rights than accused
hardcore criminals.
So please join me. Let your voices be heard. Sign this
petition at the EFF. Let Congress know this must stop.

NEW PHASE IN RIAA TERROR: KIDDIE-PORN NIGHTMARES

ARTISTS BLAST RECORD COMPANIES OVER LAWSUITS AGAINST DOWNLOADERS
With little dissent artists say the suits protect not them but
corporate profits and the bloated industry must learn to adapt to
new technology.
* Chuck D of Public Enemy - "Those scare tactics are pure
Gestapo."
* David Draiman of Disturbed - "[The lawsuits are] For the
artists, my ass. I didn't ask them to protect me, and I don't
want their protection."
* Grateful Dead's Bob Weir - "They're protecting an archaic
industry."
* DJ Moby - "It's like horse-and-buggy operators suing Henry
Ford."

PERFORMER MICHAEL JACKSON OPPOSES PROPOSED ANTI-P2P LEGISLATION
"I am speechless about the idea of putting music fans in jail for
downloading music. It is wrong to illegally download, but the
answer cannot be jail," Jackson said in a statement. "Here in
America we create new opportunities out of adversity, not
punitive laws and we should look to new technologies, like
Apple's new Music Store for solutions. This way innovation
continues to be the hallmark of America. It is the fans that
drive the success of the music business; I wish this would not be
forgotten."
