Friends,
As you're doubt aware if you're a regular TrustyFiles user or a recent
visitor to TrustyFiles or RazorPop, our server has been painfully
slow the past few days, and has even been rejecting some requests.
I apologize for the inconvenience. We've received tremendous
support for our TrustyFiles 2.1 update with Kazaa access, which has
skyrocketed traffic both from web visitors and TrustyFiles users.
We have obtained another server that will be coming online shortly to
alleviate this problem.
On the education side the entertainment industry continues their
misinformation campaign. I sent the letter below to the editor that
was published in today's edition of Mi2N's B2N, Business Net News
(http://www.mi2n.com).
On a parting note, if you haven't already done so, please contribute to
our campaign at
http://www.DonateMyMusicCheck.com/
. We've had a lot of contributors but still need your help to top $1,000.
Thank you!
Marc Freedman

NEW SURVEY INDICATES PARENTS UNAWARE OF OR INDIFFERENT
TO RISKS OF ILLEGAL FILE SWAPPING
http://www.mi2n.com/press.php3?press_nb=64133
This is more industry propaganda. Sure they want you
to be good 'digital citizens', aka zombies. That way
we don't question the holy corporate powers or their
control of Congress (and the California AG office). We
stay good docile consumers and buy, Buy, BUY! ...
Your B2N newsletter title 'Parents & Industry Don't See
Eye-To-Eye' is much more accurate. The reality, as
their own survey shows, is that most people ARE aware
of what they're doing with P2P file sharing. When tens
of millions of Americans engage in such an activity
over a period of several years, they're not a small
cell of fringe pirates, but the majority speaking out.
It's the major recording labels and studios that need
to be educated, not the public. It is time they accept
the will of the people and develop real solutions like
compulsory licensing, instead of brutalizing their fans
and suing them.
