Friends,

The PIRATE Act was passed by the Senate under questionable circumstances (no hearing, no debate, no discussion). It now moves to the House, where it could also quickly be passed unless the public take immediate action. This bill would order the US Attorney General to file tens of thousands of civil lawsuits against file sharers, turning the Justice Department into the legal arm of the entertainment industries at taxpayer expense.  This means your money will be used to pay for music industry lawsuits.
