Help with Lyra X3000 (What do you suggest?)   Message List

One day I turned on my Lyra X3000 and it started this clicking noise
and the message on the screen says "firmware problem. see user manual"
when it finally came up. I did the reset and that didn't work. I tried
recharging it and plugging it to my computer. I was able to format it
but that still didn't work. Now, my computer just recognize the memory
card but not the Lyra hard drive itself. I tried installing the
firmware again but my computer did recognize the Lyra hard drive. The
RCA website didn't help nor calling Audiovox. The person was useless.
Didn't offer any kind of assistance. I love this thing and I want to
keep it forever! Can anyone help me?
I've dropped this thing so many times in the 3 years I've had it that
it kept right on going afterwards. What is wrong with it now?!!?

I would just take it to an electronics repair center and tell them what you want to do. I think it has a 1.8"HD with an IDE interface, but I can't remember if...
