The clicking noise you are hearing is due to the head of the hard
drive being off the platter. You basically have damaged the hard
drive. Power it up and when it starts clicking, tap it on a flat
surface to see if you can knock the head back. Can't make it any
worse now.... I had to slap mine on the desk once or twice to get it
to work again. If it doesn't work, find someone who can replace the
hard drive for you. All they need is a new hard drive, the correct
screw driver to remove the back, a soldering iron and some electrical
experience. You can even put a much bigger drive in....
