Kristin, when you loaded the film and closed the camera back did it go
through its normal exposure count down and click at the end? I have a
Rebel G, but I believe all the Rebels unroll the entire roll of film
when it is first inserted, and then as pictures are taken it winds the
film back into the film canister, which safe guards exposures in case
the camera back is opened before the end of the film, or rewind. If
the camera did not go through its normal film loading process it
probaly did not load properly. You will have to push mid-roll rewind,
and then reload another roll. The down side is the roll you rewind
will be wasted. Also make sure the batterys are loaded properly. It
may be a good idea to clean the battery contacts as well. Use a pencil
eraser for this. Sometimes a coating can build up on the contacts and
prevent proper contact.
Regards, Scotty
