Re: [liion_power_products] Re: ABF NiMH cold weather high current test results.
I went for a long ride yesterday. Weather was 68F with light gusty winds.
Terrain was mild rolling hills with most of the way being rough black top.
I started out with a topped up battery from the night before. Switched on
the power and checked the battery voltage which read 27.30v and took off
riding, relying 100% on the motor.
After my ride I recorded the readings from my Power Analyzer and bike
computer. 246.6 Wh, 10.96 Ah, 24.7vdc, average speed 15.8mph, total miles
16.21. On the flats I was running 19.5mph. As you can see...I was running
up quite a few hills which slowed my average speed down.
I didn't ride till my batteries died so I do not know how far I could have
gone (extrapolated out, it looks to be 22 miles with my 15Ah pack). All I
know is that it starts getting uncomfortable after about 15 miles (45
minutes) on a bike (I must be getting too old).
