Hi John,

We're putting together a workstation to (among other things) display
Reconstruct series on a 30" monitor at 2650x1600 resolution. We'd
like to be able to PgUp/PgDn smoothly through the sections at ~10 fps,
and we'd like for each section to be a montage of 10x10 8-bit images
where each image is 2k x 2k wide. We'd like to be able to do this at
any magnification. (Alternatively, we could load very large images
"pre-montaged" in another application.)

Do you have any sense of what bottlenecks we'll hit? Hard drive
speed? Video memory? Main memory? Bus speed? These are all likely
candidates , and we can try to do well on all of them, but as the
author of Reconstruct I'm guessing you might have more to say on the
issue.

Thanks very much for any comments you might have.

- Davi
