RE: [Reconstruct] Object renaming question

Doesn’t look like you have a standard pattern to rename.

The easiest what to do this is with rename in the object list, then all the traces associated with the object are renamed.

Subject: [Reconstruct] Object renaming question

Hello,

I need to rename a lot of objects in reconstruct, like
dendrite01_Neuron02 to neur02_dend01, dendrite02_Neuron02 to
neur02_dend02 .... I can do this manually but I have 100s of objects
so this is a bit tedious. I have checked the different wildcards
available for "rename" but nothing applies to this case. The names
have to be edited in all the sections so a search_and_replace in a
text editor would be as tedious. I though about writing a PERl script
but if there is a fancy/clever/obvious/faster way to do this, I would
love to hear about it.
Thanks a lot

Dear Dr. Harris, The actual macro depends on the position of the windows on the screen (it records mouse position) so would be of little use. Here is instead ...
