RE: [Reconstruct] Object renaming question

Thanks Thomas – sounds very clever, we are in the process of updating the RECONSTRUCT manual with all the FAQ’s from the users group and cool things like this.

I’ll forward your email to the consultant who is doing this work for me.

Subject: Re: [Reconstruct] Object renaming question

Hello,
I solved my problem with a keystroke/mouse movement logger (Smack
1.06). It records all keystrokes including Backspace, Ctrl-C,
arrows,.... It even playback the sequence at high speed and is more
reliable than the original Microsoft Macro Recorder (Pre-Win95). I
could rename my 353 files with just four macros and in less than 10
minutes :-) Joy !!!
Happy reconstruction,
Thomas

Doesn't look like you have a standard pattern to rename. The easiest what to do this is with rename in the object list, then all the traces associated with the...

Dear Dr. Harris, The actual macro depends on the position of the windows on the screen (it records mouse position) so would be of little use. Here is instead ...

I should add that the procedure probably work with many of the free/shareware/commercial macro recorders available. I tried Smack because it was the first on a...
