Description
Red Hat Linux, and its later incarnation, Fedora Core, is currently one of the most popular Linux distributions (or distros) for PCs and some high-end Unix machines. This list is dedicated to giving members some guidance in installing and using these distros.
Experienced users and newcomers (newbies) alike are welcome, as are users of similar distros such as Mandrake (now Mandriva), Pink Tie...

... Possibly, I'm not sure if it's counting pages or actual memory amounts... it changes dynamically based on current usage... however, it's also system

... The short answer is, at least for current utilization, /proc/meminfo which gives you MemTotal and MemFree, the difference between which would be current
