Although it handles attachments, packages are special. Even though
Thunderbird is a Mac version, it doesn't (to my knowledge) have any
special means to handle Mac packages.
Even if you use Apple's Mail, I believe both sender and recipient need
to be using it. That's why it is safer to ZIP the whole thing up first.
