With the new 700 Rule there is no doubtr that approval of the Region Plan will be delayed. I have just uploaded to the files section a copy of the letter from NPSTC to the FCC addressing the current problems.
I am considering holding a Region meeting in early December. Who among you would attend in Las Vegas, or Reno?

I would like to attend, in Reno, if possible as travel is an issue with
my agency, please be sure to give some lead time so I can plan for it.

Last Friday the Commission released its rules for the 700 MHz spectrum
and the rules for the new public safety broadband interoperability
spectrum for 700 MHz.
The rule is over 350 pages long so I doubt you all want to read it.
I'll post a link to the FCC so you can get it.
One of the new rules is that the existing public safety spectrum will
be moved. That means that our draft Region Plan will have to be
revised --even though it has been at the FCC since January.
I'll tell you more when I find out "stuff".
Mark Pallans
No real news. The FCC reports that our Region Plan is in
the "Pending" status. That means it has, at least, been looked at but
not seriously reviewed yet.
I have just finished what should be the final draft of the 700 MHz
Region Plan for Nevada. All interested parties will be notified over
the next month. It is located in the files section as a PDF dated 6-
16-06.
Feel free to call if you have any questions.

The long awaited amendment to the Nevada 800 MHz Region Plan was
submitted to the FCC on 6/6/06 (is that and omen?).
It can be found in the Electronic Filing Document System at the
following address
http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/retrieve.cgi?
native_or_pdf=pdf&id_document=6518358978
All of that has to be placed in a single line in the address box of
your internet page.
Alternatively go to the following address and click on the "amendment"
of the first item listed.
http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/websql/prod/ecfs/comsrch_v2.hts
A revised draft plan has been uploaded to the files section. Please
review it. Issues that remain to be addressed are in colors of red or
gold.
It is our intention to submit this plan to the FCC after our next
Region meeting.

There is a desire to expedite the completion of the Region Plan. To
this end, please eview it and make any comments. A Region Meeting
will be scheduled shortly for some time in early November to finalize
and approve the draft.

Robb - I'll email you separately since you can't access Yahoo. Most
Region Committees use this method of distribution. As far as a regular
web site - does anyone want to volunteer establishing it on their
server?

You will find in the "Files" section the first draft plan for 700 MHz
for Nevada. The red and orange areas of text are those that require,
either clarification or additional information. This draft was semi-
cloned from the Missouri Plan which was just approved by the FCC so it
should be well into the acceptable range.
For those of you that have been involved here before - we must provide
strong documentation of all efforts of notification of eligible,
meeting summaries, etc to demonstrate that this plan has been
developed with a broad input of users.
If you have any relevant information please forward it to me for
inclusion.
