Google may be stalling. I have seen this before where a large company is
going into a business they do not understand and they walk or crawl in words
and no actions. I am sure Google's heart is in the right place on the
contest but from what I know thousands of applications must be evaluated and
approved. Then google will grade the most important advances and announce a
winner for their contest. This is the only logical operation that I can see
happening. It may take time but I think google is on the right track. I see
the solar industry companies have won 2 of the global energy awards.
