I'm looking for cool barn photo's. My wife and I
have a web-site called The Tool Barn. We have an
on-going barn photo contest, where a monthly winner will
get a $20 gift certificate. We want to personally
collect thousands of photo's of Barns because between
subdivisions and bulldozers they are quickly disappearing from
the rural landscape. Our home page is
www.thetoolbarn.com then click on photo contest
link.

Thanks,

Joel

If anyone is interested in showing thier work in
a gallery setting we have a small gallery and
cinemateque started up by a group of film students here in
Regina. The purpose behind this endeavor is to assist new
artists in getting thier work shown to the general public
as more established galleries tend to seek
established artists for thier shows. If you would like more
information post a message in the club or e-mail me at
renegadefilms_2000@...

I just decided to put up the info for the
exhibit, it just seems easier:Thank you for your interest
in the Online Art Exhibition. Myself and several
other artists decided that a great way to promote
ourselves worldwide would be through an online exhibition,
we are inviting anyone from anywhere to participate
in this exhibition. We are trying to get 100-150
artists to participate. The exhibition is free. We also
ask that if you know anyone who would be interested
in participating to please let him or her also have
this information so that we can make this a very
successful show. All work must reach me by April 1, 2001
this is on a first come first serve basis, if i have
150 artists before the deadline I will be unable to
include you in the exhibition. Below are the rules for
the exhibition:
1.We believe in artistic freedom
of expression, however, we want this to a family
friendly exhibition and pornography is not allowed. Nudes
are allowed as long as they are tasteful and you must
agree to allow us to have a warning stating that there
are nudes in your gallery.
2.No plagiarizing. If
it is not your work do not claim it to be because
you could get into a lot of legal problems.
3.
These rules are not inclusive and new ones can be added
at any time. However, we completely believe in
artistic freedom of expression and will not disqualify
anyone unless his or her art is deemed to be
pornography.

How To Submit:
To submit your work you need to
take pictures of your art work and place them on a 3
1/2 floppy disk. Also, the pictures must be in a jpeg
format. On a piece of paper, write in print or
type:
The name of the piece
The medium
The
year
Your name

Anything else you want to say about
the work

Number the pieces 1-15 and place the
information in the same order.
Example
1. Yellow
Colored Pencil on Paper
2000
Rebecca

Thank you all for your opinions. You have some
points there. It was the first time I tried using only
candle light as a source so it was an exorcise in
experimentation. I do agree that a bit more light may have been
better, but I do not know about more light...I will have
to keep experimenting I guess. As for the black and
white, it is another catagory on my agenda as well.

Hey Scott
I took a look at your new
Photos.
The color is something you might want to reconsider,
either more or les in the candle photo, it's kinda stale
if you know what I mean, Personally I would have
made the room darker, keep shutter a bit longer and
put the candle near to what I want to emphasise, the
photo with the flowers I like but again either more or
less light, it's kinda in between.

obviously it
is my own opinion only, but perhaps you would like
to try shooting a roll making a few adjustmants,
also Candle light portraits are GREAT for B&W much
more than color is the way I see it.

Great
work
Doron

Not bad there hun....the Candle Light picture is
lovely..:)
I wasn't as caught by the boquet one though...not
sure why...will dwell on it a bit ...lol
That
candle light would also have made an excellent setting
for a nude, as well perhaps, as a B&W
Jan
