Re: Is RP Crap?

Here is an email I received off-forum about the exchange between
Trevor and I. I have also included my response. My point in posting
it is to show that I will not tolerate being contacted directly by
the uninformed who appear to get pleasure from being negative. This
is supposed to be a professional forum for professionals to discuss
RP. If you are not a professional or cannot act professionally then
that is your issue and I would prefer to be kept out of it.

Ed,

Why don't you read the entire thread instead of stopping at the
title? Why do you cowardly send an email instead of boldly stating
your "argument" in the forum?

Your comments are uninformed, unprofessional, and extrememly
untimely.

I may have chosen an unprofessional title for my post but I made some
valid points and as you may have noticed that unprofessional title
was very effective at drawing attention to the discussion and
solicited some very good comments from others (yourself being an
exception). My goal was to obtain input from other professionals who
have more experience with RP and with other phone systems that
compete with RP.

This thread provided many others to voice their opinions in a
professional way and tied together a lot of other threads nicely.
Hopefully having so many comments on so many aspects of RP in one
thread will help MS when they are choosing what features to include
in SP2 or 2.0, etc...

Trevor is the one who initially took my post personally and acted
unprofessionally (something he himself admitted when called on it,
you would know this if you read past the title). I should have
ignored his comments and not replied to them and in doing so was
unprofessional and immature myself and for that I am sorry as well.

Nothing in my post was intended to start an argument and considering
that out of 25+ posts, and this email, only you and Trevor thought
there was something to argue about I would suggest you re-look at
your point of view. When you reply to a thread in this manner you
come across agressive, unprofessional, and uneducated.

In the future if you have something productive to add then post it in
the forum, otherwise keep it to yourself. I would hope you have
better things to do with your time than send such ridiculous emails.
Do not email me directly again for something like this. If you chose
to then I will have no choice but to report it as spam.

P.S. I will be posting your email and my reply in the forum, where it
belongs.

Tom
If you don't like RP, stay the heck off the forum. The banter you
put forth was just stuff to cause argument and whing and I feel sure
you have better things to do, like go and make money with the
products you DO like!

You are wrong about Trevor, I know him and he know his stuff. maybe
you guys should just NOT communicate.

That makes things better for everyone, including you! Good luck and
good selling!

Thanks
Ed
